I'm having the same problem with the checkout not accepting UK postal codes.
Have sent an email to the distillery.. Happy to go with whichever team
Rattled off some PMs, emails and an invoice to ya.
Interested in signing up a group of 4. Still spots?
Also I am dangerously Canadian, so need a special link.
I've got one person who contacted me separately to reserve a space but doesn't know what team or his +1 status yet, so that would give us just 2 or 3 more seats. We're in that weird place where we can take 11 people, or we can take 22 people at the current price point. Transportation is kind of a PITA. Options are complicated and will just take some extra group discussion to figure out.
If you're seriously serious, I'd like to waitlist your group and then reach out to everyone to see how everybody feels about a more expensive ride (the Sprinter Van option). That would open it up to 15 people. Optionally, if the waiting list got long enough, we could just get a bus.
We now have the option to get a Sprinter Van. Feedback is welcome.
I talked to the Sprinter Van rental place and evidently they have a more lenient pickup and dropoff policy than they used to. When I contacted them last year they wanted two days worth of rental money, but this year it's down to one. With the 300 free miles that come with the rental, the cost comes out very close to the price of the regular passenger van we got last year but might be more comfortable.
The seats are captain's seats, and there's more headroom but the width is the same as the regular passenger van. This means that it could be just as crowded as last year if we pack 14 people in.
11 People = $40/per person
14 people = $35/per person
Here's the specs on the van:
•AT
•AC
•CD player
•DVD player
•21″ flat screen TV
•Surround sound
•PA system
The seats are captain's chairs. The seating chart looks like this:
Idk about everyone else but I'd prefer not to jam all my jelly into cramped quarters for long periods of time, I'm willing to pay for more space and a nicer ride.
Let's sit on it a bit and see how many folks wait list themselves. We have 2 whole months to plan, but I'll try to get it locked down by the beginning of August so folks can make arrangements.
In the meantime I'll go check out the seating at the van place - We do have a second van driver if needed.
I'm fine to pay a little more for some comfort, but I'm also not keen to exclude people who want to go from going just so my fat *** has more room.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not about excluding anyone. And yes, my fat*** may need a little more room which I'm willing to pay for. From the comments regarding last year it seemed that it was pretty packed and uncomfortable for everyone, so why have a repeat if that can be avoided.
I'm really hoping there are more people who sign up so we get two vehicles or even better one Big Yellow Bus!

I gotta admit, I'd LOVE to get 2 Sprinter vans (23 signups total), considering they've got TVs and stuff. How awesome would it be to have gaming ON BOARD? I mean ...!!! We could leave one empty seat in each row for total comfort, it wouldn't be super expensive, and the smaller vehicles mean easier access to parking and route planning.
Sprinter Van = approx $450/day rental (including gas).
6 people = $75-$80 ea
8 people = $55-$60 ea
11 people = $40-$45 ea Remember that this doesn't include beer or food or anything this year, so you'll need to budget additional $$ for the trip.
I might have to find a McDavid t-shirt then. While my hockey jersey is a CCM and therefore mesh, it's still too much for what is probably going to be a balls-hot Seattle summer.
Hey all - sorry for the delays and back and forth with seating capacities. I know it's a little confusing. Also, the van place is jerking me around a little bit so I need to get stuff straightened out with the rental before any more info is available on the thread.
You should add kulshan to the stop list in bellingham as another option.
At least personally I enjoy their beers far more than boundary bay
I totally agree. I kind of hedged back and forth about where to stop in Bellingham and finally the schedule settled on needing to stop somewhere for dinner can handle a large group, so Boundary Bay / Aslan ended up being the picks.
I'm in for me +1. Was about to just buy tickets, but after reading the thread not so sure. Do I buy the tickets and wait for things to get sorted, or just let you know I'm in, and... wait for things to get sorted?
And just a thought... if you end up with two vans you could branch the tour at some point, then compare notes. Aquire bottles to share. Etc.

A) Yes, hold off till I have the van situation sorted. Great idea!
UPDATE! Okay, with some questions still remaining for the weird Sprinter van people, here's our final plan of attack:
- We are getting two 15-passenger vans, and seating 10 people plus the driver in each one. That will make for a comfy ride.
- If we get Sprinter vans, great! If not, a regular van will be way more comfortable than last year because of the seating cap. The vans will have A/C.
- @LexiconGrrl and @Khadour will be the drivers. @JobiwanKenobi will be the relief/backup driver.
- There are now 4 teams. If you want to shift around and change teams, just say the word.
QUESTIONS for you all
With now 20 people instead of 10, a 30 minute stop at each brewery is going to be tight. If we stretch each stop to 45 minutes, then our options are either:
a) Start earlier or end later (my personal preference)
b) Cut a stop or two out
What do you guys think?
Hey, you guys can get tickets now! Just purchase for one of the existing teams, and we'll get the team assignments done later when we have the new names picked. @thedivh @Shooer @MrBroadstone @tac042

Yes, I have an old Sonics jersey. Xavier McDaniel. Look him up.
Well, shit. Send me your email address via the distillery and I'll send you a paypal link. What team do you want?
If you do, there is a very good chance you'll get free beers at at least one stop.

S'okay?
S'Allright.
Whatever everybody else wants, I'm down.

Sure - there will be some extended driving chunks where the landscape is pretty but might get boring.
Mostly I just want to avoid the super cramped, uncomfortable ride we had last year. Nobody liked it.

Done. Having a Plus 1 will get us closer to a second van and a comfy, relaxed ride.
