I've had the pellet spread go right around a target also. I saw, literally saw, them miss. The guy was dead center to the reticle under a bridge in Amiens and when I pulled the trigger I SAW the dust from the background behind him where all the pellets went. That was infuriating. On the other hand, I've 1 shot guys 10m+ away. So there's that too.
Yeah, that's the inherent thing with random pellet spread: you can't count on it going your way every single time. While it may be more realistic, it makes it rough getting a handle on the guns.

Stupid tank keeps getting in the way of my assault progress. Keep rolling around for 3/4 of the match not getting those sweet sweet assault points. But by god my tanker rating is skyrocketing.

... no see the thing that's bullshit is when the entire reticle is filled with an enemy's body and it still misses.
Damn does this game have a hell of a multiplayer learning curve.
Dumped about 8 hours into this on ps4 and don't see an end in sight. Id love to squad up with some guys and make the jump from domination to conquest. Anyone feel like adding a budding medic / support feel free to add me.

Oh, yeah, I mentioned that on the last page. I wonder if the bullet spread begins at your character (like, where your model's hands/arms are or the base of the stock) as opposed to starting at the end of the barrel.
And yeah...howitzer light tank is still stronk tank. I think my favoritest thing to do while tanking is, after taking a couple of hits, deploy smoke screen and start reversing...but keep reversing a bit longer so you're on the outer edge of the smoke. Most enemy tank drivers I've seen drive right into the smoke or, at the very least, keep shooting into the smoke. Best case scenario: they've driven into the smoke and are sitting there confused and wondering where you went (which is quickly revealed when they see the red outline of me in their kill-cam after the howitzer shell lands on their confused head).

I've really been enjoying playing Support and just tossing ammo refills constantly, repairing stuff, and occasionally getting a few kills. I managed to go from rank 2-3 in one evening thanks to a bunch of 10-12,000+ score matches and finally unlocked the BAR. The Benét–Mercié was a nice upgrade over the Lewis Gun but the BAR is just fantastic.
I think my biggest complaint about the game is the total lack of positional audio. Maybe it's that I'm so used to how excellent it is in Overwatch, but it never ceases to piss me off that I cant hear people running up behind me, coming down the stairs above me, or any footsteps period. I feel like so many of my deaths could have been prevented, or at least given me the chance to shoot back, had I been able to hear them. Whenever I do a bayonet charge my character is screaming so why can't I hear someone running up behind me screaming as they're charging me?
I also both love and hate respawning directly into a bayonet charge, shotgun blast, or a plane crashing. Battlefield gonna be Battlefield :P

My problem is related to this: I can hear footsteps just fine. I can hear people running around, making shout-outs, and all that just fine. What I can't do is use those audible cues to determine where people are. I hear footsteps in front of me...but the person is really behind me. I hear gunshots from some indistinct direction, and have to spend a good second or two spinning in place to finally place the sound in front of me...but there's nobody there and the gunfire is now coming from behind me. Sometimes, I get the feeling that the audio channels in Battlefield 1 are flipped (which is weird, because I used to reliably use audio cues to get the drop on people in every Battlefield since Bad Company 2 - which makes BF1 very odd for me).

I use home cinema with a Z506 Logitech 5.1 speaker setup, set to "Medium speakers" and everything around me sounds very clear.
Well...
War tapes makes everything sound at almost the same volume. It's designed to make it look like you're listening to an old battlefield recorder. It makes everything booming. The downside is that there is no difference between sounds 15 feet away and sounds 100 feet away.
that would explain some things my ears have been telling me.

Yeah, a lot of us went crazy with War Tapes in BC2 because it made things sound much more clearer. I used it BF4 for a while until I started to notice exactly that, so for BF1 it's been home cinema and suddenly the sounds made much more sense.
So whats with the flare gun? Does it only spot things around where it lands? The entire distance it travels? And how far away from something does it work?

It sets fuckers on fire if you hit. Plus, it sets fuckers on fire if they stand on the flare.
Edit:
Yes, it spots in a radius wherever or whomever it lands

if you look at your mini-map you can see a lighter cloloured circle that looks similar to the capture borders in conquest, anything in that circle will show.
and than the fire damage from hitting someone or stepping on the flare will do about 50 damage.
Tone is super op. Had one take me from full health plus shield to dead with just a super, three shots and a missile barrage. Don't know any other Titan that can do that.
I hope to god this gives SL mutiny. A revamp of how revive skipping works would be nice, going back to the old way (no hold-to-skip, but add a 'reject revive' option again), but not expected.

LMGs? fixed! dx12 was worked on (wonder if fps is better now for nvidia?)!
mutiny in! scouts now get 2 trip mines as long as they arent he. you can edit your setup in the menu now. You have a quit button after the rounds end now.
The Operations changes seem like DICE wants attackers to get past the first map more reliably than currently do.
Black lives matter.

also shotguns fixed?.... question mark?
There was a bug cause hits to register almost no DMG and sometime way too much DMG. So it should be more consitant with its hits now? i know a lot of folks complained about the consistancy- ie i shoot get no kills they shoot and get all of them....
also squad xp boosts drop from battlepacks now..... i need more friends to share with....

mortars in general nerfed man. way less accurate when fired fast, smaller cone of full damage. slower install, mounting and delivery. Much needed.
LMGS get ads up grades accross the board too. The supports can finally stop humping mortars and play.

Some good fixes in there! I must have glossed over the shotgun stuff as I didn't see it. I also didn't see anything about Nerfing tailgunners which is disappointing. Overall I like the changes I think though. I hope the invisible walls fixes help horses. They get stuck on EVERYTHING!
Edit: ahh here's the shotty one. Seems good!
Changed damage multipliers for buckshot to be more consistent. This will eliminate some unintentionally high and unintentionally low damage hits.

@JusticeforPluto Wrong thread. Unless you've traveled to an alternate Earth where BF2143 was made instead of BF1, that is.
You mean to say you haven't been calling in your Diesel Punk Titans dropped from Orbital Zepplins?

Okay, I'll admit, I could totally get on board for a mutator that enabled Iron Brigade-styled trenches in Battlefield.
