And Pants/Abdy, since my response is irretrievable now, it wasn't a reductio ad absurdum. It was an attempt at proof by contradiction (my argument being that whistleblowing is should be justified by its ethics; Pants example is that it could potentially be used for something we deem as unethical) but it's also begging the question.

If it is true that these "many" people correctly believe that rape shields are unethical, then yes, the person releasing that information should be protected under an 'ideal' whistleblowing definition. I think we all recognise, however, that rape shields do serve a pragmatic, ethical function in proven cases of rape.

I got sucked into skylines last night.

I made a huge mess of getting the highway to empty out into my city.

Not having actual highway pieces when you start seems to encourage this effect.

Also, when placing your sewage dump downstream of your water pumps, make sure you know which direction the river's flowing.

My subconscious confirmed that I am actually in love with Paul Rudd. Dreamed last night that I was teaching him to play Coup with me and a bunch of nerds. So we can finally close the book on this thrilling dramatic arc, is Hakkes in love with Paul Rudd? Because the answer is unequivocally yes.

Although my dream did not actually manifest Coup, like the cards were there, but I was also setting out a ton of complex pieces and trying to explain how to roll the Lincoln Logs to determine play order to Paul (my future husband)

I honestly like 7 Days to Die better. It's not as pretty, but it gets constant updates. And you can host your own server without having to rent one. And the environment's destroyable.

I really wish that those super-realistic sims like ARMA etc. could manage the type of hit-detection you get playing CS on a LAN.

ARMA/DayZ/Battlefield/Borderlands MP; all these games with bullets as projectiles, it's incredibly frustrating playing on an internet connection with even as little as 60 ping, especially at long range.

most of the problems with the desync in close range combat is because of servers.
A lot of people are running multiple instances of DayZ on a server to save cost.
When they hold big events they do dedicated boxes and the close range combat is not nearly that bad.

Watched the episode where Claire does the solo interview last night. The bombshell she dropped in that interview left me wide eyed. Did not see that coming.

You have to maintain hunger and thirst, it doesn't have the body temp system though, but it is more heavily zombie'd than DayZ as far as I know. It's more geared toward crafting, too.
