new fire emblem, always welcomed. I just hope (in the US) on release day, it isnt nearly impossible to find a physical copy like Awakening was in that first week.

The fuck.. VIP Mii Plaza? Who gives a fuck? Who is going to pay money for that?
200cc seems like it'd kinda suck actually, too fast to do mini-turbos, but it does seems like itd be interesting to see how many new shortcuts are opened.

Smash Bros news was the only thing worth waiting for. SMTxFE looks like otaku flarn.
Too tired to make any insightful comments on the Direct, so I'll settle for this.
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem: It does exist! I never stopped believing. But it doesn't look like it plays like either SMT or Fire Emblem.
Project Zero: Those games always seemed interesting to me, but I'm too much of a scaredy-cat. So... I'll keep an eye on it, but I doubt I'll buy it.
Fire Emblem: It's Fire Emblem. Hurray! And apparently, IS is so proud of their new feet technology that they decided not to give the protagonists any shoes. Bit of a shame that one nation seems to be unambiguously good while the other's unambiguously evil, though.
...I don't imagine it would, but I can still secretly hope that this opens the doors of possibility for other Rare games. Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini specifically.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering WTF this anime drenched game was... and it's the SMT x FE game? I'm willing to wait for more concrete info... but boy howdy that was not a great first impression.

Basically it boiled down to "hey, do you have a Wii U? Well, after Yoshi's Woolly World just throw it in the trash. Thanks for buying our next console!"
Zelda is totally going to pull another Gamecube/Wii moment and release multi-console.
Yeah, this was a good Direct. If you were expecting Nintendo to announce to announce dozens of new games two months before E3, you need to keep your expectations in check.

And no Star Fox at all. Sigh.
W-what?
Where the hell are you getting this from?
We're not even at E3 yet, and today had some good announcements for Wii U games

What "announcements" for the Wii U happened that weren't already announced or just extensions of games that already exist?

This is gonna be brutal in our weekly tournaments.
4/10. Without Smash news, 2/10.

Hopefully we get some good stuff shown at E3.
Also fuck yeah Fatal Frame

I'm excited for DS games coming to Wii U, but, you know, better ones than the one they showed
But hey! Super Mario 64! Today! Awesome! Paper Mario coming soon! Also awesome! DK64! Never got to play that!

It is not a joke
It comes in a free update, independent of the new DLC
But honestly:
- More great 3DS streetpass games including a freakin fishing game
- More DLC/content being added to older games including a willingness to keep supporting Smash in the future
- fixing problems with games like enemy turn speed up in STEAM is a good indication that they're listening
- Going all in with cross buy and deals on eshop releases, like getting 2 copies of Don't Starve, Mudds loyalty etc.
- Aforementioned Amiibos
- N64 and DS(!) VC
- Localizations of formerly Japan-only games like Fatal Frame and Attack on Titan
- FExSMT, some people have really been wanting that
Overall some good stuff.
