Okay guys. I finally made it to top 100. Albeit the Era is fresh so the boards have yet been filled with greater rift fishers and luckers. Had it been during Era 2 it would have been rank ~110ish.
It's time to put down the sword and pick up Barbarian or maybe WD... Monk? Gosh I know I should have decided by now.
If you hate GRifts, what content would you prefer to do? Just T6 rifts ad nausem?
It's all the fucking same anyways when you get down to it, no amount of new or revised items are gonna change that... and i'd love to give Season 3 a chance, but I do believe people here have let it be known that they could give 2 shits about a new season so why should I give 2 shits if i'm not gonna have anybody to play with.
And yes, this coming from somebody who plays Destiny is pretty fucking hilarious, but at least I've got truly new content on the way instead of the same. ol. shit.
So it looks like they yanked the new barb bracers, which apparently were a big part of some of the new builds on the PTR. I'm pretty bummed cause I leveled a barb in anticipation of using those and the new IK/WW combo. Hope they make it into the game eventually.

What did Mortick's Brace do again? The scuttlebutt I'm reading is that it was wildly overpowered, but without having tested it or an IK barb I don't have any personal knowledge or context for that statement.
So... Wrath of the Wastes can compete with IK now? I don't see it as a big deal, honestly.

That does seem really, really good. Wizards basically need an entire set to get the same effect for their transformation, and they can't make it permanent.
Honestly Mortick's Brace is so over powered for using just one slot to obtain:
Activating Wrath of the Berserker deals 3400% weapon damage as Fire to all enemies within 15 yards.
While active, gain 50% increased damage.
While active, Critical Hits have a chance to cause an eruption of blood dealing 300% weapon damage to enemies within 15 yards.
Reduce all damage taken by 50%.
While active, gain 5364 Life per Fury spent.
Others will argue that you do need Immortal King and Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac to maintain permanent WOTB so it's not that over powered.
But things like Armor of Akkhan requires 6 piece set, crazy amount of CDR, and we only get to choose one Akkarat's Champion rune so....

We weren't happy with the final iteration of Mortick’s Brace on the PTR, so we have disabled it from dropping with the 2.2.0 patch. We may revisit this item in a later patch. I understand why they didn't go this way, but I'd really be much happier if the Frost Nova runes that actually freeze enemies triggered Tal's new 6pc bonus. Melee builds are so awkward without Frost Nova, and there's no room on the bar for it in a new Tal's build.

Wow, this totally sucks. I'm glad I read this before blowing my 1000 shards on barb bracers. It was a strong item but even with it barbs still lagged behind most other classes in single target damage. I just don't understand why they would remove it at the last minute. Why not weeks ago when PTR testing was still in full swing?
Now I don't know what to gamble, IK pants or the new shield bash bracers. A lot of my enthusiasm for the patch just flew right out the window.

It essentially renders every bit of barb PTR testing worthless, since every build assumed you were using Mortick's Brace. Now no one knows how powerful or weak barbs will be, and it looks like Raekor plus pylon fishing may still be the best setup for season 3. Boourns.
It was too strong an affix to have on one item that doesn't compete with a set item slot, but it still didn't make barbs as powerful as demon hunters for GR play. Maybe they will move it to the IK 6-bonus since that 100% damage bonus is weak sauce.
Found that earlier. It's good enough to use, though not ideal. COTA damage rolled very low, but everything else was okay. No Gift so I'm missing a potential stat too, but it's fine. This will allow me to run IK6/Raekor4 and use Boulder Toss as my Fury spender. 2 Boulders and WotB is off cooldown, it's so silly.

I have the best luck.
My Wizard got to 103 paragon in Season 2(Only played her for the last 1.5 weeks of the season). The patch made having three pieces of Firebird (With the RRoG of course) alot more powerful than it was previously, so I've been playing some today, did a few Torment V and one Torment VI rift. Tried a level 22 GRift and did it in 9 minutes.
And I still have not seen a single legendary amulet drop on that character. Not. One.
so I guess with the change to blood shards (getting to increase their limit with GRs), if you go over your cap with seasonal roll over and then gamble, you lose ALL the shards you have over the cap
6-piece Tal Rasha + 4-piece Firebirds was tons of fun and since we cleared GR36 in record time with my WD buddy it can't even be that bad. And that was with a build I just tossed together in 2 minutes (fire magic missile, arcane hydra, electricity black hole, cold blizzard with the 2.5s freeze rune, energy armor, mirror images). Then I gambled and got one of the new +meteor damage as extra primary affix Tal Rasha sources to replace my old one. Fun times! 8-)

but they were too fucking good, they should have at least gone "uhhh okay it give you this rune, not all. ship it" rather than nuke it entirely
