I got newest dlc and started playing Harald Fairhair, king of Noregr in 866 start.
I subjucated petty king of Sjaelland because i want to reform norse faith, and all were well. I managed to get a title of King of Noregr.
Then my vassal, controlling 3 counties, managed to subjucate petty king of Jylland, and instead of adding his lands to my kingdom, he became independent, even though his rank, petty king, is still lesser than mine.
Is this some new bug? I never experienced something like that while playing norse.

The new primary title was not in your kingdom, he gains the independent title and is now independent. Special wargoals like that are outside the normal system. I saw something similar happen when a vassal of an empire got the kingdom of Jerusalem in a crusade.
However, you should have wargoals against his counties inside your kingdom, so get to fighting! Or your kid can subjugate him.
He's a shy overambitious dog-catcher on the wrong side of the law. She's an orphaned psychic mercenary with the power to bend men's minds. They fight crime!
Court physician made for my character a potion of fertility because I couldn't get a male successor.
After drinking it, king woke up in chamber with his wife and 3 other women, all in love with him. Every single one of them got pregnant after that night.
Immediately after, king became homosexual.
Crusader Kings II: game, where hot orgy will turn you gay
On the other hand, I have no idea why there is no option in this game to be bisexual - if you are gay you can still sleep with your wife to produce a heir, but if you have a seduction focus you can only use it on other homosexual characters, which means that character is not interested in other gender. You can be only hetero- or -homo-, there is no middle ground.
Has the latest content patch reworked the epidemics/diseases? I found that my family members tend to die often despite the presence of a physician and hospital.
I prepared invasion for Egypt, I got almost 30k army.
I declared war.
... only problem is, that i clicked on "Great Holy War for Egypt", not "Prepared Invsion for Egypt", which means that, because i waited for a last moment with it all, I lost all of my army because it HAD TO be prepared invasion casus belli.
There goes a work of a lifetime of my current character. He is norse king king of Wallachia, who can get at most 7k army, while ERE already declared war twice against him and i don;t think i can survive third attempt.
Im afraid that my game is over, and all because of mine epic fail.
Being a devil worshiper is so fun. Just got back into the game and I started at the standard date as the Duke of Flanders. Now I'm going to see if I can corrupt all of France for my dark lords.
Seems like it's extra great if you're a woman, so I hope I get a chance to try that soon too.
I started as the Dude of Gotland, I'm in the second generation and I'm five counties away from forming the Empire of Scandinavia
Just wondering how I'm going to get to India for the Legacy of the Indo-Norse achievement, starting in 769 probably wasn't the smartest idea (I think Haesteinn could do it pretty easily)
Unfortunately provinces bordering the Caspian don't count as coastal provinces, otherwise that's where I would've started
Heheheheheheheheh. So good news. I had a spawn of Satan who became an awesome character. Bad news? She inherited some small piece of land in Denmark by a fluke and because of the HRE's stupid inheritance laws I'll never get to play as her. Silver lining? She made her satan worshipping mama proud within the span of like two years.
Also FYI: Pretty sure she periodically disfigures her own husband for style points?
Oh, and more funny stuff, here's the current state of the above character's mama.
Yeah it's a weird family.
Man this has been an awesome game. Other things I did was curse the Kaiser's entire family once he learned my original character was a satanist because, at that point, why not? Also my current character is another devil spawn but is like the good-ish devil spawn sibling to her big sister's ultimate darkness? Also, the Basileus is a satan worshiper?

Did you have a nice night at town with your friend and that family?
A chess game with death in the guise of a homosexual nun?
Bring it on.
Ended up gambling the life of one of my children for better odds and won...now have a permanent +2 health buff. Good thing I won, not just for me but the child "she" picked was my demon child. Quite keen to see what it can achieve.
Oh, the times I became Eastern Roman Emperor without ever intending it
My favorite was when I inherited a duchy in the ERE as a young lady of about six. My mother (my previous character) had been randomly murdered by a duke with an intrigue focus. I decided that my young lady would devote her life to getting revenge on her mother's murderer. I tried an intrigue focus at first, but I couldn't get a plot going and I had no events that would facilitate revenge. I decided to try a different tactic: I switched to seduction, and basically seduced every man in the ERE to get them on board with my plot.
I failed at killing the duke I was after, as he kept avoiding death at the hands of my conspirators. However, when the Emperor died, I found myself the new Empress, which came as pretty much a total surprise. The duke soon found himself in the Imperial cells, where I had him castrated. And then it was back to the cells for blinding. And then I murdered his entire family. And then I stripped him off his lands and exiled him.
I'm pretty sure that that Empress got the title "the Holy."
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

And it seems like whenever I get a Lunatic they're also always a genius so I feel like the game agrees with me.
Also in that game I learned how the Hermetic Society is almost as fun as Satan Worshiping, and without all the negative side-effects. Things I've gotten from it include a 100 year +tax/-buildcost/-buildtime modifier on my capital, tons of stat boosting artifacts, and a

I saw that OP has DLC advice - which I was wondering about now that I felt an urge to return to this game. I think I bought up to Republics last time I played it.
Anyone have any opinion on DLC otherwise? I don't think I'll be getting close to all of it but if anyone has any stand-out favorites I'd be interested to find out!

A bit more explanation to the above recommendation:
Old Gods lets you do an earlier start date and really reshape the map plus lets you play as a lot of pagan lords. It's a big change in how you approach the game.
Way of Life doesn't seem like a huge thing but it really shores up your character as a character and not just a collection of titles and stats. It gives you a lot of things to pursue during downtime when you're not at war or waiting for claims to fabricate or other plans to come to fruition.
Nope, there is really nothing for heresies in this dlc.
The only hope is that because Paradox admitted that they didn't have enough time to properly finish Monks & Mystics, we will get more options in next patches.
Because seriously, they made DLC about religion and then they didn't do anything about heresies. What the hell?
Decided to do the "The Caliphate Strikes Back" achievement and it took me eighty years to hold an empire title as the 1066 Abbasid Caliph
I thought this would be a longer process but the Caliphate Subjugation CB is really fun
I'm now returning to my goal of setting up a Norse kingdom in India, I'm experimenting with Prepared Invasions as Haesteinn - one time the game gave me 30k troops
Heads up, It's a Paradox Sale weekend because the Stellaris expac came out, so deals for a lot of CK stuff.
But...not the M&M expac.... grrrr.
But... if you want to get a friend into throwing kids of balconies, marrying their sisters, and contracting the plague, the CK bundle (sans M&M) is going pretty cheap for gifting.
Not sure if I want Reaper's Due or not. I like some of the stuff it adds, but not a fan of the idea of diseases run amok.
It's much more interesting than how diseases used to work. Especially when the Black Death shows up, which might take a few years to get to you but WILL ruin your day. (Along with everyone else's day.)

I can only speculate that it went something like that one Futurama episode:
"Well, thanks to the Internet I'm now bored with sex."
