Priests aren't these invincible fortresses of anwers and card advantage. They have only so many removal so they have to decide what they spend it on, and they have to measure the board to get card advantage off Northshire Cleric (that doesn't go unanswered against any decent opponent).
I play Priest mostly (though fully F2P), and you can always try to play them to see for yourself.
Well, duh. You only have 30 cards.
Priest4Life.
34 cards. Or maybe its only 32? I don't know if you should count the Thoughtsteal.

I retooled my grim patron warrior to match closer to StrifeCro's (no Commanding Shout, Loot Hoarders, Acolytes, and Gnomish Inventors, but don't have Grom) and played it for a quest. Beat two hunters quite, even though I made a huge mistake in the first game that should have cost me.
That deck seems really strong against face hunters, and it is incredibly cheap too.

Anyone know of good arena articles lately? I took a long break from when naxx came out to now. I've been doing 9-10 win arenas and infinite for the past few weeks but I don't think I'm quite grasping all the changes that the new cards brought. I don't even know who's writing where about HS anymore sooooo help appreciated.
Hungry Dragon must be pretty new because I think I'd been playing for a week again before it started showing up. I will windmill slam that card all day.

Can you post deck or link to deck? I loved playing tempo warrior a year ago and this sounds similar.

Mr Burton, you should probably write the arena articles if you are hitting 9-10 wins on average in arena.

I just went from a 10-3 to a 2-3 so apparently I'm not all I'm cracked up to be! I feel like priest is significantly worse than it was or else I just don't play it right anymore. Need to draft all the dragons!
Meanwhile, it seems like warrior and shaman are a lot better? Paladin and Mage of course are still paladin and mage.

Shaman is a lot better. The new 4-drop that turns into a 4-7/6 is killer and Crackle is great.
I don't know about Warrior. They were always super deck dependent and they seem just as reliant on getting their weapons as ever, though the addition of Death's Bite between War Axe and Arcanite Reaper helps.

Yeah, but I've always had enough with Weaponsmith and War Axe. I lean so heavily on 2/1 value cards with warrior then you armor up if there's any sort of stalemate so they don't come out of nowhere.
I need to try Warlock. Imp-losion keeps fucking wrecking me. Imp Gang Boss is super efficient too.
People would be a lot less salty if everyone was playing face hunter (or zoo, or mech mage) in reaction to lots of slow control decks instead of just because of the stupid ranking system.
hahaha no, people would still be incredibly salty, hearthstone attracts a huge number of people who do not actually have the patience or openmindedness for a card game due to its free nature
it doesn't matter what you do, people will pick out a deck or class to ostracize
I'm developing a Pavlovian wince for EVERYONE GET IN HERE. Although I did brawl a full board of them earlier today, which was very satisfying and appropriate.
When I don't like a deck I normally try to play something which preys on it, tilt my deck towards beating it and accept that I'm giving up percentages against the rest of the field.
This game is random enough that salt is inevitable really. Any less so however and it'd get stale.

People enjoy card games for different reasons! and oftentimes there is a direct counter that limits that enjoyment
So yes, most people have an archetype, deck, or class they hate and therefore ostracize it

Destroying someone's hopes and dreams that is playing patron warrior is amazing. Lightbombing them when they go for the last ditch comeback is awesome. Mind controlling their 2nd patron is also satisfying. The combination of 2x thoughtsteal and Nefarion basically giving you patron combo to smack them with is icing. *note these did not happen all in one game, even I would have felt sorry for the guy lol.
I did manage to get a mech mage with a subpar draw to frostbolt a piloted mech that I coined out on T3 and also w/e it popped out when it died. Only for my T4 play to be Resurrect x2 and getting the mech both times.
I'm basically toying around with "The rock" as a priest deck. Just using a lot of efficient creatures with a few good spells. It seems to be doing ok, but I haven't really gone against any zoo or face hunter yet.
I don't think that is mechanically possible. A battlecry like fire elemental's that was turned into a deathrattle would need to be aim-able during the opponent's turn if they traded into it, and HS doesn't allow any action to be taken during an opponent's turn.

The other way around would work and be interesting, though.
Presumably that's why it's a 2/2 for 1. The text is a drawback. I just don't think that drawback is interesting enough to justify it.

Then 1-3... wow. This one guy slowrolled so long then did a play that let me die on the 1 fatigue damage thanks to that mill 3 8/8. I never should've mentioned how well things were going and tried to look at articles.

I gotta say the worst part about disconnecting lately is it never ever resumes the game I was in. That used to actually be pretty reliable so if I realized fast enough I wouldn't even miss a turn. now I literally have gotten it to resume one time in the last month. bizarro.
(this is part of why I said I think it's on my end earlier)

Fwiw, I don't think anybody is writing arena articles. You can watch streamers, though. Kripp, guardsmanBob and I think ratsmah do mostly arena.

on my iphone it's given me a fair number of losses until i realized if you minimize out then go back it will give you 1 turn of connectivity. it makes for... long games.
also i was 2-3 i saw when i went back. 2 in a row. i blame trying to draft a warlock.

also do not try to contact blizzard support over iphone disconnects when you have internet and cell service very strong... their response was seriously "lol sorry not our problem ask the phone lol"
some of the worst customer service i've gotten in a long, long time.
You would never want a battlecry to become a deathrattle. The other way around would be pretty op with voildcaller and malganis.
There are negative battlecries as well though (mostly demons). Imagine Legion Deathwalker > Coin > Flame Imp for example. Then if you trade off the Deathwalker before the Imp dies you don't have to pay the health afterward. Jaraxxus would be especially interesting; Voidcaller out a 3/15, then play Deathwalker before he dies and you get both sides of the card.
So while having a Pyromancer in play, I Muster for battle. Opponent scoffs well played and loses an abusive sergant in the process, while I play a 1 mana Solemn Vigil to kill his Knifejuggler and my Pyromancer while I kill his 1/3 tauntdemon with my 1/4 weapon. Then I play two Volcanic Dragons for free. May not be the best turn 4 play, but it sure felt good!

Yup, is the same on Magic, people don't like:
* Aggro decks.
* Control decks.
* Combo decks.
* Midrange decks that have more money invested than theirs.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure I beat the same Paladin at 9 wins and for the final win. He did not seem happy.
It's a pretty slow deck, and by all accounts not that great. Just run face hunter or demon zoolock until you get past the glut.

Grom if you've got the other Warrior cards to make a solid Control deck. Otherwise I'd go with Antonidas.
