The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'm not convinced the things coming toward her head are bones, for two reasons. First, as they get closer to Annie's head, she gets more upset, and when she regains control, they vanish. That is the opposite of how her emotional state should be affected if they are bones. (Bones=whatever her dad did to trap her fire-spirit thing in the earlier chapter.) Second, they're drawn more like tears, as if Annie's control/mask is being torn from her.
The way she puts her hands over her face and then the panel focusing on her slowly removing them from her face is reminiscent of putting on a mask. So that I am convinced about. But not the bone thing.
I'm seeing annie about to completely lose her shit and taking a beat to collect herself because she does not want to lose her shit
Yeah, I don't see any mask or bone spears or whatever. Antimony just looks like she's about to break down and bawl, then gets a grip. Of course, it's been so long I don't even know what those are anyway so I wouldn't know what to look for.
When Annie was unconscious zimmy went into the ether/her mind to try and fix her, and she saw a bunch of really long white spikes that lead all the way back to tony, which kind of sort of looked like the lines drawn around Annie's head in the most recent page, insofar as they were looking that colored and pointy
And there was also a vision of Annie's forged homework hidden under a mask, which is so painfully symbolic that I'm shocked anyone would take it as anything other than abstract imagery
Oooooh, okay I kinda vaguely remember the Zimmy thing now. I don't remember the mask thing at all though, so I think I'll use this as an excuse to archive binge at work tomorrow.

wincing in panel three, where the grey pointy things invade the panel. straight object in background distorts.
buying face in hands and shaking in panel four, hair askew again, as the grey pointy things are depicted beginning to pierce into her head
kat's perspective in panel five, indicating aetheric nature of grey pointy things
panel six - suddenly hair flat, instead of lifting head from hands, unnatural gesture of parting hands away from face
The way she puts her hands over her face and then the panel focusing on her slowly removing them from her face is reminiscent of putting on a mask. So that I am convinced about. But not the bone thing.
they vanish because kat can't see aetheric stuff. whether or not panels are in AetherVision is indicated by distortions in the background art
burying her face in her hands is a natural reaction, it's her motion in removing her hands that is one usually used to present a face
Thank you! But I'm still going to binge archive it because I will have nothing better to do all day at work. :rotate:
This chapter has been full of that kind of stuff
