His count is good so may as well let him go until he gets in a bit of trouble. Could be his last game with the Nats, get yer money's worth. :P

I’m not - he just made it to 100 pitches. I don’t think he’ll be back in the 9th, though.

The important thing is, regardless of how this game ends up Verlander is still winless in the WS

I’m a little surprised they’re letting Strasbourg pitch the 8th.

Under 100 pitches? I would let him pitch the 9th if there hadnt been a break between 5 and 6(IE i can count on doolittle to close 6 and 7)

You probably dont have stasburg tomorrow for the starter save anyway so pushing it merely a performance issue.

Houston has really mismanaged their pitchers. Like... using a 3 man rotation was dumb in the prior two series and its not helping here. Not even Verlander can go that often on short rest.

Anthony Rendon really wants to play again tomorrow.

Lol, doesn't he not even really like baseball? I think I read a quote about that and how he gets bored during the game when he's not doing anything.

8 1/3 for Strasburg. Damnfine job.

I mean I don’t really have a problem with it

I’m just old enough to remember when they shut him down in the playoffs because they were afraid of burning out his arm.

    To be fair

Baseball is often an excruciatingly boring activity, punctuated by brief bursts of action

Burning out his arm is something your worry about on game 1, not game 6

Apparently, across the three US sports franchises that do a best-of-seven series, this is the first time in any of those sports (baseball, hockey, basketball), that it's gone to the 7th game without the home team ever winning.

I heard that on the broadcast and it annoyed the shit out of me because its impossible to have 6/7 wins away without the first six being won away. Its also impossible to have 5 wins away(exactly) and go to game 7.

What's his World Series record at this point, 0-6? Oof.

Why the Verlander hate? I've never heard a bad thing about him. Or are we just mad that he's married to Kate Upton? :P

Any particular reason for the Verlander hate?

I still think the astros take this, but at least the nationals made it competitive after they blew their advantage.

No way. I think Scherzer is going to be lights out. He is fucking HUNGRY for this. I wouldn't be surprised if he slept in the dugout. And Grienke isn't that great anymore. Plus, this wacky timeline requires that the home team doesn't win a game in this series.

I just don't think that the stros lose 4 at home. Like I can't see that being possible.

I would normally agree with you.

At the same time I never expected the Nats to drop 3 in a row at home.

    Its been a weird series.

B.) Channel the South Siders from Chicago ( Yeah,. Preacher I know fuck Hark Harrellson, but it's the South side; ,you can put it on the boooarrrds, yes !")

Sorry Preach and any White Sox haters. I'm just trying to give the Nats a lift. But Fernando Rodney on the Nays will negate that.

    The Nats oppose.

    Go Nats!

I forgot about the baby shark thing. Now my favourite team of all time, as much as love my Blue Jays. This is just an epic series for the NATS!!!!
