also, to that review bitching about 'why does no one just shoot him?', someone tries in the very first fucking fight! seriously, they deal with that issue from the very beginning and i doubt that it'll be the only time it comes up. it really seems like that guy was just trying to find fault.
am impressed so far, and can't wait to see where they go with it.
got my second wind and moving onto five.
because after 4 how could i not.

He's better comedy relief than Foggy.

really? i'm loving him so far and really didn't expect too. oh well.
anyway, 2nd episode down and god damn!! Matt is certainly a different breed of hero than we've previously seen in the MCU.
episode 2
seriously, if this is just the beginning then i can't wait to see what's next, both in this show and the rest of the Netflix MCU shows.
Frank is going to play jump rope with intestines and rip off their jaws in graphic detail.

The mind is willing but the flesh is weak.
How do they (if they do at all) depict his powers, aka his radar sense. Or does he even have it?
Because he doesn't look old enough to actually be a lawyer when he shaves. :-p
It's not really ever shown. (i'm at episode 6)
there's a brief scene where he says that he "sees the world on fire" and they cut to a quick glimpse of how he interprets things and that's it.
Haven't seen anything like radar sense on screen. He describes his vision as a combination of sound, smells, variations in air pressure, temperature, etc. etc., constructing an "impressionist painting" of the world around him. You don't see that except very briefly once. They rely on audio cues and close ups and so forth to show how it works.
Largely they don't. They just focus heavily on sound in the fights rather than cover it up with something else.

Episode 9
I'm up to episode 9, and can confirm this works until episode 9 so far
how very like daredevil you are...
this is where i'm at. just finished episode 4 and its amazing how every episode has out done the previous in terms of 'holy shit' moments without it feeling forced. it shocking, but not just for the sake of it. and the action and brutality is served so well by the long quieter periods that explore the crime/conspiracy drama at the heart of everything. they've struck a great balance between the two aspects of the show with neither feeling short-changed.

They have the camera go blurring surrounding a person then zoom in on them. It's subtle. Often used for lie detecting. IIRC they slow down fight scenes for a second to do this when he dodges hits. He has enhanced hearing, it's like he's hearing a cell phone call. No fancy movie stuff like Affleck's, it works.
Jesus.

Guess the title gives this one away. Stick!
