1. What motherboard should I replaced it with? (on the longer story... my computer won't restart: the monitor wasn't even picking up a signal and the keyboard lights won't even flash when I reboot the system even after I replaced the power supply. The CPU fan and the Video Card fan does spin after I turn on the computer and I swear I heard a beep when I turn on the computer...)
(My Spec: Themaltake V3 Black Edition ATX mid tower black case/ GeForce GX 550 Ti / AMD phenom II x6 1090T Thuban 6 core processor)
2. I'm a bit of a computer illiterate so I got a friend who's willing to help me change the board this Saturday. However I'm a bit impatient. How difficult it is to change the motherboard and what are the Risk?
3. My computer was reving heavily and just rebooted twice before it just died (RIP). I was wondering what could have happened to it...

Thanks in advance for all advices.
I'd recommend peanut oil next time.
Honestly, considering that your equipment is at least two years old, I would be looking at a full refresh. At the very least, you'll be wanting to replace the MB, CPU, RAM, and power supply (seriously, your MB fried - I would not trust the power supply.)

Fortunately, if you want to try and resurrect the system, AM3+ motherboards are still being made (good on AMD for not randomly changing sockets when they don't need to).
I would second testing the PSU to make sure that's not the issue, although given the age of your system it's possible that it's a motherboard fault.
i would agree with angel. probably better to repace the whole shebang. yes, 2 years is old, but who knows what went down when the board got shot. and it might save you some headaches
I'm going to concur with replace the CPU/Mobo/Memory and PSU.
You're probably looking to spend about $300 to replace all those. Definitely ask in the thread like djmitchella said. The video card should be salvageable.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
Thank for everyone's response. I replaced the power unit and the mothetboard. I got a friend to help me out but now the computer reboots every times when it tried to run windows. The bios sees all my hardware: cpu, my video card, my ram ,my hard drive, my cd rom, but it just blue screen and reboot when it tries to run windows. Sigh. It looks like i'll have to shell more money and get someone at the shop to take a look at it
Update: it's fixed and everything works fine now. The Problem was the Motherboard doesn't know how to read the partitioned drive and therefore can't find windows. Changed the Boot setting from IED to ADHI and it works fine.

also make sure your cpu fan is on securely, though overheat might just cause it to power down rather than reboot
