Well, Alad's ahead by 2, and the current conflict is going in his favor. The event ends at noon EDT tomorrow, so Nef will need to pull some last minute shenanigans with the rewards if he's even gonna have a chance at winning.
I have a sinking feeling that team edge gun is going to win.
Alad has pretty much won every conflict where the rewards weren't stacked in Nef's favor.
Has Nef even been in the lead at any point in this event? Everytime I looked it was clean sweep Alad victories until a series of potatoes or fusion cores brings the score back to parity.... Where Alad promptly takes the lead again.

I believe Nef actually was ahead for a bit, but then it evened out. Then Alad took the lead by offering a potato, even though he was even with Nef. He's been ahead since then.

I'd imagine they will, the assets are already all there, it's just a matter of letting the players get their mitts on it. And when it comes down to it, work that's already been done is cheaper than designing something new.

Really, really liking Chroma. The way his abilities work, with some scaling off duration and some not, lets you customize your build based on the situation at hand. And the elemental buffs/attacks based on energy color add an extra level of depth that I've barely been able to sink my teeth into and already I can't get enough. There are just so many ways to build him, and I don't even feel the need to use any forma.
So far I've got my A-spec set as a duration based build that leverages Primed Flow, Rage, and Quick Thinking into a super tanky, nigh-unkillable sumbitch. 50 second duration on Vex Armor and Elemental Ward mean those armor and damage buffs are up for long periods and setting the element to Cold gives an amazing damage reflect.
B-spec is a Fire based build with negative duration that turns Elemental Ward into a spammable group heal. It'll be even more spammable once I get a Transient Fortitude.
C-spec goes for pure efficiency, using Primed Flow as a battery to keep Effigy going more or less indefinitely. +Strength to help it kill things for those bonus credit drops. This is pretty great on infested defense, as I can let my skinsuit guard the pod while I run around collecting drops.
He'd probably be a good candidate for Equilibrium, considering how often he'll be running around below max health and energy.

I've always believed DE when they said that the gear was going into the Disney vault for re-release. I've certainly been vocal on DE's forums in pointing out that the gear is merely semi-exclusive instead of exclusive and that the only gear guaranteed to never come back are the founder's gear and closed beta gear. I've even supported using tactical alerts as a vehicle as a re-release so that old gear won't steal the thunder of new gear for their major events
I was simply very extremely extraordinarily displeased with DE's reluctance to back up their words with action.

If we're just going by lore reasons, destroying the method of reversing the infestation infection is probably way more of a dick move than letting alad v stay infested.
But it's not like we really have a say in how the story (what of it there is) unfolds, DE gonna DE, so I don't feel bad for getting all those potatos and cores supporting nef.

This was cloning research anyway. I have a hard time believing it will be very applicable for curing a parasitic infestation. Alad just played everybody.

That research is probably stuff that should be destroyed anyway, so Nef Anyo paying to do it because he wants to dick over Alad V is a win-win

Oh, Karak. It's been so long since I leveled you. I'd forgotten how spray & pray you are, with that accuracy giving you shotgun-like spread at mid range. It's weird how the Soma has the same exact accuracy and yet it seems to fire laser-straight in comparison.
Still, the Wraith ain't bad. With the innate V polarity and free potato you can fit Serration, Split Chamber, 4 dual-stat elements and a 10-point Shred. Beyond that you'll need to use 2-3 Formas and I kind of doubt it'll be worth it when there are so many better performing rifles.
