This game has finally sunk its hooks into me. I wanted to get lost in it previously but there was always some sticking point that blocked me. Not anymore, they did all the stuff with melee and movement that I wanted them to do. Progression feels a lot better now too. And all the sheer content they've put in is just blowing my mind. I'm super happy I decided to try playing it again.
pnptcn is my in game space ninja handle. I'd really like an invite to the clan, I'll even sweep the space dojo.

You know I played a few minutes with my ex when the game first came out. Was going to play on PS4 before I found out that they pulled out a lot of the fancy effects. I haven't touched it since, but I keep running the updater on PC from time to time. How different does it feel now compared to launch?

My only questions are did they nerf miasma from being a negative debuff powerhouse, and did they buff venom?
Miasma seems pretty nerfed. It kind of needs enemies to be pre-virused in some way, then it'll feel a bit like the old one, but it's not press 4 to win anymore.
Also this last updated busted the Jordas raids, it bugs out on the last part when killing Jordas and severing his nerves. Makes me sads.

If you want players to synergize their skills better, make that a bonus, not a "get to previous levels of output" thing.

yeah, I'm not too super crazy about how they are changing some things, but i feel overall it would be for the better. Maybe not necessarily for saryn, but the frost changes were great, and some of the rhino changes are looking like they're quite good. I can see how their though process might be less "this ability wins the game" to more "make the engagements more engaging"
I'm also starting to run out of built forma, and im debating if i want to just buy whole ones from the market, or build/rush the foundry ones. I'm thinking the later, but im hoping well see a double resource weekend soon. My current plan for the next double resource weekend is to buy a resource booster to go along with it and get 4x drop rate, and farm nothing but nurodes and neural sensors all day.

I have suspicions that DE didn't properly understand the math behind the pre-rework Miasma, because the patch notes make it sound like it should be doing more baseline damage, but it very much isn't. And having taken a look at the math behind the old miasma, the damage per tick was apparently divided by the duration (so damage went up if you tanked your duration). I suppose it's possible the wiki had faulty data on the maths, but what the christ.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.
Warframe/Steam: NFyt
I have to admit that forma is one of those thing that I just buy. I used to keep a running stack of them but then I made a bunch of clan weapons and haven't really gotten back into the habit of building them again.
I'll see how the new Saryn plays out, but everything I'm reading at this point says it's a step back. Spamming Miasma is a thing you could have done, but not really the only thing you could do with her. (Edit: rest of this sentence got lost somehow).
Also... her EHP has dropped, but is she still slow?
If they want us to use "Toxic Lash" more that's certainly a bizarre way to do it. Hell, if it was a toggle power I would have used it more. Can't see myself using Toxic Lash when she seems more energy intensive than before.
edit: I mean, I guess spam Spores/lash would be the thing? Idk.

“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
I haven't been playing all that much lately but I've built up a stack of 25+ built formas because I'm not using them on any weapons until I see how the multishot changes are going to shake out.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKERS
I've already seen how the new Saryn is playing out and its even more powerful than before, depending on how you play it. Lots of experimenting going on, that's a good thing.
I've seen the following combination of powers just decimate all of Draco and other similarily sized defensive position tiles single handedly:
- The Saryn put up a Molt.
- The Saryn cast Spores on the Molt and then damaged the Molt to spread the Spores and pretty much all of the enemies were effected.
- The Saryn cast Miasma and anything that was wasn't dead already soon was. Only Eximus targets survived and even then not with much hp left.
The main issue for the Saryn seemed to be efficiency and energy pool, so a Trinity on the team probably wouldn't go amiss. And it seems she lost a bit of hp from her stats but that Molt, hot damn. Use it, abuse it, amuse it.
Well, good luck with your builds, but it looks like some people have already figured out ways that Saryn is a beast again.

Yeah, Saryn kicks ass and now I do more than just spam 4 and occasionally hit 2.
Does anybody still play this? The PA guild seems dead on PC.
Trying to farm the Jordas golem for atlas parts, but no one seems to want to do it? And I can't level my Archwing past 12 for the life of me.
I was on, but I'm still new so I couldn't help you with that. Also, lemme know if anyone wants to run some void keys. I gotta get some control modules to build some stuff.
Control modules get! Some friendly Clan members ran me through a couple void keys. Thanks!

Theres usually at least half a dozen people on in the evenings but the problem is the chat system is hot garbage, you can only see one channel at a time so frequently people won't be able to see clan chat. Also some people hate Archwing stuff.
But that's all just fluff, I wouldn't have forma'ed multiple times if I hadn't learned one simple thing, it doesn't matter how good your gear is if you use the Archwing's speed and dodge. It would be kinda like if you ever met someone who refused to parkour (2.0) with their warframe, of course they are getting smacked around more than those who use it.
And you don't even have to leave the comfort of a Warframe mission to level the Archwing really fast with a bit of help (aka bring a squad of friends). Just head to a Submersible mission, I suggest Assur, Uranus (Dark Sector, Survival, Infected) and find this tile (I had to run the mission 3 times to find it for the screen shots, Your Mileage May Vary):
Then jump in the water, interesting thing to note, at a low angle with a weapon like the Grattler or Fluctus, you can still contribute to killing enemies on the floor above the water.
And if you go under that floor, you can suck up goodies dropped on the floor just above you with the Archwing. But that's not the only benefit under there, swim to the back...
And pop up in this room, that can only be unlocked from this side if you hack the panel near the door. Let the enemies pour into this choke point and you can kill till you run out of Life Support or you get bored and extract. And this is where your friends on your squad come in, if they sit in that now open room and lay waste to the oncoming hordes, while you swim in the water with your Archwing, shooting at that same horde and using abilities like the Elytron Thumper, you will gain exp at a quite a comfortable rate while still being able to gather drops, with abilities like Itzal's Cosmic Crush.
But, if you actually feel like being a Ace Archwing Pilot and earning the exp the challenging way, head with a squad to the Interception (Grineer) mission Caelus. Tips for making the Interception better:
- Run. Speed is your ally, dodging will save you countless times, and don't even try to stay still to capture a point if there is any chance the enemy is flanking and swarming you, you can always speed back there with Sprint (Hyperion) Thrusters and Space Afterburners once they've cleared off.
- Hide. There is cover all around you, use it. There are even some tubes you can get in that spawn on a point sometimes that will let you capture the point in near full 360 degree cover.
- Anti-Missile Ability. Every Archwing has one, familiarize yourself with it and a the slightest hint you have incoming, use it. The missile barrages the Grineer send your way can be sometimes so densely packed, it will instantly take you out of the fight. Also another good reason to keep moving and keep your distance, so you aren't an easy mark because anti missile abilities often confuse the missiles but they are still coming, so pop those flares and change your vector.
- Snipe. Find the loner enemy and pick it off at the max possible distance, work the outside edges of the swarm, don't just charge in.
- Out Flank. Keep the enemy guessing on your lead by capturing points simultaneously with your squad mates at the start of a match, don't have more than one player capturing a point before the round starts and then once it starts, do it together to increase capture time so you don't have to hover for as long and you have more concentrated fire power. That should give you a significant % lead in the main objective, so that if need be you can coast to victory with only 2 points captured at any time and you won't be forced to go into the swarm to try to do a desperation capture where you will be a sitting duck.
- Strafing Runs. Once the enemies are highlighted when you reach 100% and the round is nearly over, your squad should regroup and will need to pick off the remaining enemies without getting swarmed and possibly with low ranked, no modded weapons ... and you are going to want to take the time to pick up all the mods dropped. Use a strafing run, don't engage in a locked in melee, it makes you a sitting duck for missiles and more. So, strafing runs can be accomplished in three ways: 1) Backwards circle shoot strafing, 2) Afterburner slide shoot afterburner, and 3) Afterburner slide melee spin attack afterburner. Combine these three together as a squad, use as you feel the situation dictates to pick the Oogmas and Shielded Missile bastards apart, one by one till there are none left.
Remember, the longer you and your friends stay in the mission, the more exp those higher level enemies are going to be worth in Assur or Caelus. Before you know it, you'll be wondering why anyone says its hard to get exp in Archwing too.
Also good to remember, the Frames have always leveled slower than the weapons, same holds true of Archwing as well, so might be a good idea to focus on making a wicked good weapon first (orokin + formas + ranked mods) to help out earning your Wings' capacity for awesome
My problem is, using the Odonata and Imperator, I can't kill anything aside from with my melee weapon (150 Imperator rounds to kill something), and even then I die in a few seconds on Caelus. I feel like I'm stuck on level 20 mobile defense missions trying to scrounge up damage mods, getting a level per half hour.
I'll try out the sumbersible missions though, see how that goes.

have you modded out your imperator with rubedo-lined barrel and the elemental mods (definitely get corrosion since all grineer archmobs have armor)
the imperator is honestly a very solid weapon
it's hitscan with a much longer effective range than most archguns, with a solid damage range of around 1000 meters iirc and complete falloff beyond 2000 meters, so you can snipe a lot of things

The Itzal seriously feels pretty gross sometimes. The fact that it regenerates its own energy makes it even worse.
Wut o.O
Itzal doesn't regenerate its own energy, where did you ever get that silly idea from?
Oh, I think I know! Do you have a Energy Siphon Aura on the Frame you had piloting the Archwing? Did you know the Aura of the Frame you are using to pilot carries over, so you could have had Rejuvenation or Steel Charge or whatever going on as well if you want. I know its not like clearly documented that is happening, so I won't blame ya if you didn't know.
