So the double resource thing is doubling the syndicate medallions picked up, just like last time. I guess they haven't noticed yet, unless it's intentional.
so i decided that since the double weekend happened, i would also just buy a booster, so i get double doubles! killing alad v for 8 neural sensors a run seems like a good trade off.
i stocked over 100 neurals and over 80 neurodes. And since i bought the 7 day booster, i still have double right now.
It also has helped in Jordas raid being able to get 4 tellerium per drop. Also you can sell all those extra injector fragments, 25 credits per, so they're worth quite a bit.
I've maxed out some basic stuff, like the beginner pistol. It's apparently an ingredient in crafting later? Should I sell these things or what?
Unless you're super-strapped for plat and need the extra slots, it's usually better to just hold onto them, so you don't have to go through the hassle of recrafting them when you decide to go for the thing that uses them in its recipes. Especially when it comes to some of the more obnoxious weapon requirements, like the AkJagara needing the Akbolto.

Unless you're super-strapped for plat and need the extra slots, it's usually better to just hold onto them, so you don't have to go through the hassle of recrafting them when you decide to go for the thing that uses them in its recipes. Especially when it comes to some of the more obnoxious weapon requirements, like the AkJagara needing the Akbolto.
otoh you can just buy the lato whenever you need to craft it later, since crafting doesn't require the weapon be mastered or anything. and the lato is pretty meh, so it might be more worthwhile to free up weapon space with it. though the most efficient way would be to start working on whatever requires it to build right now so you can get it out of the way when you have a free copy.

And yes, my weapons are piling up quick. I was pretty meh about the Paris at first, but it has grown on me. Skewering a whole line of dudes is fun now that I have Metal Auger to put on it. And I built a Kohm. That is a pretty fun piece of hardware alright.

Depends on how much plat you've bought, really. I got suckered into the $200 bundle (50% off), and after wasting a ton of it on stuff I didn't understand, giving a few hundred to friends, potatoing pretty much every frame and weapon I've built, and buying Mesa, Frost Prime, 10-20 mods, and over a thousand plat of cosmetics, I still have a thousand plat, plus tons of rare mods and prime parts I haven't even thought of selling.
If you've bought plat, the best thing to spend plat on as a new player is probably rare mods. Past that, get a prime Warframe and weapon, use that to do hard content while you farm mats to build other stuff. Don't buy warframes from the store, aside from Excalibur (cheap vs difficulty to acquire) or Atlas (would take weeks for a new player to get to). NEVER buy weapons from the store.
Aside from that, buy cosmetics. If there's one thing Digital Extremes is good at, it's making some good looking models/textures.
@Darkewolfe: Build the Lato into a Bolto, which is around 50 times better than the Lato. Then build Dual Skana, buy another Lato, and build that into a second Bolto. Buy the AkBolto recipe to turn your two Boltos into an AkBolto, which is twice as good as the Bolto.
While you're doing all this, make sure to level one of the Latos, one of the Boltos, the Dual Skanas, and the AkBoltos to level 30. Leveling up weapons increases your account level (called Mastery Level) and allows you to gain access to new weapons. You'll also want to get your hands on two Orokin Cells which drop from bosses (such as The Sergeant on Mars) and on Saturn.
Once you've got all that bullshit done, turn your AkBoltos and Dual Skana into the Akagara, which is a pretty good weapon.
I'm on the Xbox and would love some company. I've stopped and restarted a few times since the pc beta, just started back up this past double drop weekend.
Additional question: does the Xbox have the 75% off platinum thing? I maxed out my only frame (volt) a bit ago and haven't been able to build a new one yet. I wouldn't mind dropping a few bucks to get another frame in the mix, especially since I'm given to understand that plat purchased frames come with a slot and potato. I don't want to spend $60 on a prime package though. What's a good option?

Hey Drake, just FYI, IIRC the Paris (and other bows) have a innate penetration at full draw, later if you find yourself wanting to put some other mod in that slot, go for it.

Remind me why this stuff is time-exclusive in the first place? I get the Founder's program's permanent exclusivity because that was one of the selling points, but they don't gain ANYTHING by only selling this stuff some of the time.

Afaik that only shifts sales, and doesn't increase them. Would make sense anyways. But why would you rather have sale surges than a larger steady stream of sales?
I got the 75% off platinum thing on pc yesterday. I was comparing the two to make sure I would stick with xbox.
I assume the markets are separate and I can't use that to advantage my xbox account somehow.

Oh, Prime frames can be found via trips to the void unless they're "vaulted," which you will be able to get at a later date when they rework the void.
There's a thread on the WF forums with where to go to get the prime parts, and the wiki entries show them. The prime access thing just offers the most recently released prime frame... Kind of juggling between stuff and can't pull that information down to this post atm.
Rhino is an all around good frame to have.

Not really. There's a clan I got drunk and built one evening with all the labs and a trading post, though. If you give me your GT (here, xbox message, whatever) I can get you in. I think there's like... 5 people.

Hey Drake, just FYI, IIRC the Paris (and other bows) have a innate penetration at full draw, later if you find yourself wanting to put some other mod in that slot, go for it.
Yeah I caught that on the Wiki when reading up on punchthrough. The Paris' charged punchthrough is cool but more punchthrough makes it even better!
And I spent a bit of plat on Loki and Saryn when I came back and found I was enjoying all the new features. I think having a frame or two with reactors already installed is a big help if you just have one of the starter frames. I guess Loki isn't going to be a great frame for all players but if you click with his speed and abilities he's a lot of fun and doesn't cost much at all. Having a few different frames with their individual revives and playstyles really helps smooth out the start.

It's fun on Draco getting a nuke every few seconds just by standing still and letting the DPS do their thing.

I'm currently working on: Braton, Aklato, Skana.
Also, don't buy non-prime warframes. The normal warframes don't come with additional plat, but would have the slot/potato in em.
If there's a specific frame you want to get a taxi can be arranged.
Can shoot you some mods and stuff too, but you'd have to let me know what you need.
