You clicked on the "Hail Hydra!" button back in September 2014 when Jars mentioned Touhou vocal tracks
Dropckick Murphy's - Dirty Glass
Weezer - El Scorcho
Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - You and Me and The Bottle makes Three.
This was awesome Hawkstone, I knew all of them but the last one but hadn't listened to them in ages.

I want to see some other people make mix tapes to themselves.
I'll put up the Hip ballads list tonight, as that's totally one for myself. For others I am stumped, I am too broad in music, I will make tapes for everyone, I just need a nudge into a basic theme/direction for a person or I get lost in overly random selections and get stuck.
Thou Shalt Not - Trial By Fire
Junip - In Every Direction
Kelley Polar - Entropy Reigns(In The Celestial City)
The Black And White Years - Up!

I adore mix-tapes, but like some others, I'm afraid I'm not quite active enough with folks on here to be known too well. I'll post up one for myself in a bit, but between being a dad, husband, and full-time student, I would love for other folks to put up new music or stuff I haven't thought about in a while.
If it helps anyone to learn my taste, I posted a ton of stuff on the PA collaborative Spotify playlist last year: My name is Joshua Yoakam.
edit: I just remembered that a huge douche kept erasing that playlist, so it was re-uploaded by folks who had it saved. Also, Spotify doesn't seem to list contributors for me anymore?
Here is the massive mix mislabeled Party Music that I rock out to now:
It actually makes me happy that you don't know anything about ptsd
Honestly, not sure how to respond to this. First response off of the cuff is you are a big SILLY GOOSE because I have been diagnosed with ptsd and currently deal with the results of it. You are not the only one... I mean, seriously, what kind of response is this other than incendiary. I was trying to post something that is a kickass response to growing older, but I guess you decide to turn it to this.

No I honestly was. I don't feel bad about being old. I feel old because having a flashback wears me out emotionally. I thought you were completely missing the point of what I was saying.
I'm sorry you have to go through that. It's fucking terrible.

Ok, I'll let it go. Probably good advice generally. Music is better.
Please listen to the Latyryx jam. It is damn good and uplifting.
Edit: Sorry, Metal. I get a bit touchy about that stuff. Hope you understand.

ptsd flashbacks aren't nearly as cool as they make them out in movies.
Maybe I'll tell you all about it but right now I feel Really. Fucking. Old.
I am sorry that you are suffering PTSD flashbacks, I cannot even imagine how terrible that must be. I am also sorry that you feel so old, so I offer this in an effort to try to get a chuckle out of you:

A mix that is me:
Tori Amos ~ Take to the Sky
Conure One ~ Center of the Sun
AFI ~ Silver and Cold
The Goo Goo Dolls ~ Naked
(TW) Tori Amos ~ Me and a Gun
The Patrick McNamara Problem ~ Bridges
Econoline Crush ~ The Devil You Know
Cole Porter ~ So In Love
Allison Krauss and Gillian Welch ~ I'll Fly Away
Joydrop ~ Beautiful
The Patrick McNamara Problem ~ Dr Manhattan
Tori Amos ~ Spark
Goldfinger ~ Here In Your Bedroom
Tori Amos ~ Strange
Ingrid Michaelson ~ The Chain
There are so, so many songs I relate to in a powerful way. I could go on. Some of these songs are very new to me and some of them have followed me for years as things I could sink into and feel for a little while, but there are many, many more.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

Eh, to yourself doesn't count.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
Backstreet Boys - Backstreet's Back
Korn - Freak On a Leash
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get
Pennywise - Bro Hymn
All Saints - Never Ever
Third Eye Blind - How's It Going To Be
...because I'm pretty sure that's literally what one of my mix tapes was back then.
FYI Backstreet's Back is only included because Larger Than Life came out in 1999 so I technically couldn't include it even though it's the superior song.
