You should be getting text messages and calls and stuff from mission-givers - Trevor and Simeon and whoever. Those are the missions that were mentioned - accepting them will put you in a lobby where you can invite others to co-op help you on the mission.
Yeah, nothing like that yet, though plenty of texts about races and heists.
Can't find anything but team on team PVP or races. Some cursory googling shows I need level 6 for some co-op stuff.
Contact missions have level requirements, because they used to have very different enemy layouts and levels of resistence, which was balanced by a much higher payout. this led to some missions give you like 6k for killing 10 guys and driving, vs killing 45 guys, blowing up 2 vans and getting 45k(which was a insane amount of money at the time). Things have really balanced out since then, but content is still level gated, probably to keep drip feeding you new content.
So, basically you need to join someone and ask them to do a cool mission. Sadly they really spread out the tutorial stuff for basic functionality, you really don't get a full lobby experience until level 15 when dailies, and bounties(10?) unlock.
You should also be able to directly select and host some of them.

Don't forget that there's jobs that people create themselves and then invite others to play. Those generally don't show up anywhere at all unless you have them bookmarked. I've got like 10 races that I mess with when noone's around just because the tracks are fun and technical to run around on. That might be the reason the Jobs you all are having trouble finding aren't showing up anywhere.

Nah...I only run R* missions (as handed out by the GTA5 NPCs either from calling them and requesting a job or by them automatically sending me a text when I become level appropriate). Unless the NPCs hand out player-created missions too...

Since I still can't join crew games for some odd reason, are there any WANG members (especially European GMT/GMT+1, due to the time zones) playing on PC that would add me as a friend or that I could add as friends? The random sessions remind me a bit too much of DayZ, and I'd love to actually get some coop games and heists going with people who aren't psychotic, or at least people who are psychotic in fun ways. So in addition to not having my original cars transfer from 360 (and filing a ticket 10 days ago I haven't heard back about), I've lost two cars worth about 1 million due to a glitch that causes a stolen car to duplicate in your garage.
So as per someone else's post in this thread, I tried out the new beta AMD drivers for my 280X. Suffice to say if you own one of these or probably any other AMD card you should definitely get on this. From limited testing last night I got a solid 15 FPS boost and far less spikes. As per the name they are in beta, so downloader beware and all that jazz!
I never thought I'd say this, but I kind of miss the BS, made up news articles from the Indian Business Times. They haven't regurgitated a 'discerning' Youtuber's wish list as a genuine leak for a while now; I guess they're being crowded out by proper websites with actual news now that the PC version is live.
Lesson learned: don't use the unarmed driveby mode to flip off sketchy looking dudes hanging around in bad areas at night.
Another lesson learned: Keep a closer eye on red-shaded dots better, especially after sniping them to avenge your earlier death.
Third lesson: Don't jack a getaway car in front of police.

WwE need to get groups going regularly cause it is a blast playing some of these game modes. Never played raid before but it was hilarious trying to not get blown up. It was also helpful in realising that controller vs kbam is actually pretty doable in this game. I was wrecking folks with my shitty 360 pad. Well... Getting kills.

Big ups to @Erlkönig and Chaos_Introvert for sticking through the entire Prison Break heist from top to bottom last night. It's amazing how much smoother those things go when everyone is talking and has a semblance of normalcy.
So I was running a heist -the prison break one- with my crew. I started it sunday night and we tried to get the plane but failed miserably.
Came back with the crew Wednesday night, and successfully did the plane and the bus section of the heist.
Got on last night (same crew) and attempted to do the Station portion only to find out......
The heist disappeared. It was no where on my board. It just...POOF.....went away. No refund of the $40k i laid out, nothing. We had to restart the whole thing.
Is that a bug, or do Heists disappear after so many days? (even if you've been active on it)

So, PS4 WANG dudes. My GTA Online character is up to level..uhh...16 now, I think, and I've been going solo the entire time. I get a shitload of invites when I'm playing, but I dunno if they're from you guys or randoms, so I just kind of do my own thing. I would like to start doing heists and such, though, so would anyone on PS4 be willing to invite me to tag along for a few? My PSN is krayven1980, I'm sure I already have some of you added. I'm just deathly afraid of doing anything that requires teamwork with randoms.
I'm running this on a i5 2500K @4.2GHz, slightly overclocked HD7950 3GB and 8GB of RAM, from an average speed SSD.
I found that completely shutting down all browsers, including Chrome's notification icon helps a LOT with random choppiness, it goes away completely.
This way I get the game to run @1080p 60fps without any major issues.

Invites (sometimes) come as messages on your phone. Bring your phone up and check the middle option or something. You should see any invites you've recently received listed there.
So last night dropped the new GTX 970 into the machine, installed new drivers, fired up the game and changed settings. Now, everything is butter smooth at 2048X1152 (weird native monitor resolution) and I turned up a bunch of things as well. Been only playing the story so far. Wondering when I should drop online. Maybe get my feet wet tonight or something.
I just upgraded to the 970 last night as well, it's amazing how good and smooth the game looks now, with mostly everything cranked to Very High (Ultra doesn't have any discernible difference, visually).
Only played 20 minutes, will have to see if it helps with my stutter.
