i don't know how people get "this champion doesn't crit" to "we are testing no one critting"
like this isn't testing the waters to see how people react, this is giving someone an exciting passive that has to do with crit, like yasuo
It's just wishful thinking because a lot of us are hoping that between one of the seasons soon they're going to remove RNG crit mechanics, because they're fucking dumb. I didn't jump to saying the Ashe passive is definitely them going there. I probably used poor wording but all I meant was that they can use this to test an ADC who builds IE but isn't getting RNG out of it. Sure, they'll have to tweak Ashe again if they ever do that, but that was going to be true no matter what.
I definitely think that at some point, crit as RNG is going to go away from league. Pro ADCs hate it, players hate it, straight RNG luck just has no place in competition.
Her Q made me instantly want to play her, it looks cool. Can't crit slowed target but instead slows amp her damage and her current Q is moved to her passive. Seems a little flashier and more fun to play, I like it.
awww geeze
i just started to main ashe as ADC a few weeks ago. Starting to get a really good feel for her flow and power spikes.

what happens if every marksman and melee carry ends up interacting with crit differently
New Ashe looks like a lot of fun, and on occasion I already play her so yay. Her new Q looks fantastic. Build up stacks positioning and prodding the nearest target, then when the initiation goes down you pelt them with volleys for kills. I can see her making LCS if she is remotely competitive as an ADC, because global vision you can even double stack is crazy helpful.
To bring up warding locations, one of my favorites is the jungle ramp by chickens. You position it outside the lip so it gives you vision of river and the general area of the intersection. It doesn't tell you if an enemy is parked in a bush, but if they pass through the area you will see them and where they are going. Plus so many people sweep up by chickens and in every bush that they often miss it. It's also in a good spot to safely poke someone if they do try and clear it. I tend to always drop my trinket ward there when I play mid, and pink the bush on blue side that wraps around.
Generally, I find an early pink is not hard to budget for, and if you place it right it might be there all game.
but they are experimenting with changing the RNG nature of crit into a constant damage amp given that you fulfill certain conditions, it looks like
Normalize a wonky mechanic through specific tweaks to a single champion? When has Riot ever done THAT before?
Hm, yes, Ashe update looks appealing. Eager to try it. Happy that I won't be forgetting to activate or de-activate Q, and I really like the concept of spamming a bunch of hawkshots right before dragon or baron; that's pretty cool!
@psyck0 : would love to duo but it remains unclear when I will actually be able to play ranked. Perhaps I can make it happen this weekend. I hope so! (although maybe I just want to solo/hard push my way back to gold before I duo? Not sure what the best strategy is, other than of course playing more, which would be nice...)
This is a little complicated, but the short of it is that the Dragon's Might buff was calculating its +6% AD a little weird. First, it didn't multiply with bonus attack damage (so that's no good) and second, it assumed a 1.0 AD ratio for anything that used an AD ratio (even if that ratio was, in reality, much lower). This isn't to say that AD scaling spells were all using 1.0 ratios, just that the +6% AD on Dragon's Might was scaling like that. This also probably exposes a bit of how math works in our game, but that's a confusing bag of goodies in and of itself.
I really like the new rapid fire active on Ashe, and I don't even play her.
Also has anyone else noticed that Talon getting the SSW skin means he can now dress up as Strider Hiryu and Altair?
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
So, for anyone with a PBE account, every skin they have up is suddenly 1 IP. I now have an account (even it is only PBE) with everything. My desire to collect stuff is sated, it's oddly freeing.
There have been plenty of stories and rumours that Riot has a super inefficient work environment, though, and adding a fucking bar to the office probably isn't going to help that
Don't care about the bar. I only care about the gym.
Yeah if people are being cool and trying to make something of it then I'll ride it out, but a chance of winning won't make me stay any longer in a cage of shit flinging baboons any longer than I have to.

That totally explains why we don't play together anymore.

Damn, that new Ashe looks fun. I love not having to toggle the slow, and it'll be interesting to see how the scaling damage on slowed enemies from crit feels, since it's kind of a pilot for maybe getting rid of crit altogether for everybody(plz).
I like the new Q active, and it looks like she traded bonus gold on her E for having 2 charges and it being global? I'd say that's worth.
Bonus gold was pretty powerful though. The main things she gets is a burst steroid, and making her Q slow automatic. The ability to build crit as damage is also very interesting because it should open up more itemization options for her. I.E. normally its a bad idea to open into a avarice blade because 10% crit with no AD kind of sucks. But you might be able to do that when crit is bonus damage because its an item now with actual damage.
The only thing is that randomness when you have selection power can actually be an advantage. So this could be a slight nerf overall to her burst and fight. I am optimistic though

Her W is a bit weaker. It used to be that as soon as you were hit by 1 arrow other arrows would pass through you. Now you can really effectively body block it.
Won lane as Darius vs an Ezreal and I'm quite proud of managing that. Won the game too.

Also, is it a coincidence that Smite comes out with an anime skin and then we get this on PBE?

100% a coincidence, they could not have made this in time to respond to Smite's release last week
they've said for a while that one of the mistakes they've made with designing lux skins is they've all been very "tough girl", and nothing to play into the magical happy fun fantasy a lot of lux players like, the only skin that really supports it is sorceress lux
which i mean, i think is a good thing, because sorceress lux is anime weeaboo trash, but tomato tomato
It looks super good though, magical girls aren't my anime preference, but the design is really good i think.

Wait... how is this going to interact with Sword of the Divine?
All new magical girl skins based on Magica Puella.
Teemo will be Kyuubee.
Nah, Teemo isn't appropriate. Teemo is outright evil.
That said, I can't think of the right champion for that thing.
Gnar?

That said I was just not the problem in this slightly laggy game. I...man, I've tanked my normal elo hard, haven't I...
When I sneak games at work, I'm at 101 ping. On long island, its high 80s.
