Do you know the significance of the date 4/20?
That's correct! 25 years ago today,
Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi, the first game in the long-running
Fire Emblem tactical rpg series was released!
back then, Marth looked like this:
...it was a simpler time.
and despite 25 years of ups and downs, the series is still chugging along today, with the newest entry: Fire Emblem if, scheduled for a Japanese release this year and a western release in (hopefully early) 2016! There's also a bunch of stuff happening in Japan this year, like a card game and an anniversary concert, that we won't ever see a hint of. Yay.
here are some very anime trailers:
anyways, welcome back to the Nintendo thread. Feel free to talk about zelda, and kirbies.

Even more news, I mean.
Man. Awakening really did a number on the series's popularity, huh?
Why I fear the ocean.
there's been a lot of news recently, yeah. and probably more coming up, considering intsys is making a fairly big deal out of the concert/presentation thing!
it's going to be a busy year, please stop me from spending money on importing merchandise, oh god
I'm so excited for it. It'll probably be the next game I buy.
Seriously the hardest Mario level
I wouldn't even be able to beat it without the Tanooki suit
The Awakening lead artist is all about some Fire Emblems
Aw man
The next major area might be the coolest in the whole game (or the whole series, even)
Hyrule Warriors is still a lot of fun. I think Sheik is my favorite, with Zelda in 2nd and Ganonndorf in third.
*Ness' nightmare used PSI Rain Ω*
:?
Also the stat boost you get is bonkers, it's kinda weird to not have Ness be the slowest member of the group anymore.
That's what people said about Mega Man battle network
I enjoyed them
Mines similar but insert Impa at #1.
I think most of my enjoyment of Ganon comes from his special.
I'm really liking it a ton. Perfect little bite size levels for commuting.

I knew that didn't sound right because I know my dad had our Game Boy in 1990
Whoops, yeah. Fixed.
So I may have ordered a Wii U...
thanks to the auto wii u shutoff, i've lost a full hour of progress, including getting the swift sail
that's just fucking spectacular
This happened to me while I was collecting heart pieces. I could not remember which pieces I had collected since last saving so it was this nightmare of sailing all over to try and figure it out.
Zelda games still do not autosave as of Link Between Worlds
It's not a thing they do
that's bad design
it is a nintendo product, though
ignoring quality of life changes that are well established in other things is basically their MO at this point
You can save literally anywhere you want, at any time, for any reason. Some players save every thirty seconds because, well, I don't know why even after they've explained it to me but they do it
The games don't really need autosaves, I don't think
