in the manga Lt. Surge (along with Sabrina, Koga, and Blaine) works for Team Rocket
He fights Red with a grenade launcher that fires Voltorbs, complete with a bandalier of voltorbs that he loads them from. He also has Magnetons sitting on his shoulders like epaulets, which create an electromagnetic forcefield around him. The entire getup is powered by the Zapdos he's captured and mind controlled, which is perched on his back
oh god
i had forgotten how tragically super dumb that comic was
nonplayable girl con artist trainer, i forget if they were Blue or Green, was pretty cool though
she's playable in the GBA remakes!
although that version of the character does not stuff her bra with Pokeballs
(Sabrina captures her and ties her up and she escapes by mocking Sabrina for being more flat chested than a fourteen year old girl until Sabrina punches her boobs only to discover that her "boobs" are pokeballs and they open up and her pokemon attack her)
I can't decide if that's awful or awesome. Gonna go with "both".

are you sure you were reading a pokemon manga and not an issue of tarot?
The horrifying thing about Lt. Surge that I never realized at the time was that he said he was a former soldier and had been through battles with his Raichu. Meaning that Raichu has most likely killed people before. Pokemon being used as weapons by the military.
They did
Back when Pokémon first came out the our Commander really did call everyone to the deck and threatened to start tossing Game Boys overboard if we did not shut the fuck up about Pokémon!
We live in the information age
On yonder internet is all the info you need to solve a puzzle given by a townie for Professor Layton.
Instead of using a hint coin

Walkthroughs, especially for Layton puzzles, are an absolute last resort for me
I would rather try to play the game instead of checking off items on a "to do" list
There's a Layton wiki out there that outlines the hints you get from the hint coins before outlining the solution if you want to go that method instead.

Good thing I am going to the hospital tomorrow, because you may have just killed me with that image.

today so that Devil survivor background should be up as well
I also bought Etrian mystery dungeon yesterday and boy did the time fly by so did the battery charge
I really should play Citizens of Earth I bought it when it was 10 on the 3ds but I never got around to playing it since I played about 40 minutes of the demo during lunch one day

Earthbound, nearing the end
"Alright, one last check of Onett and the meteor to see if anything has changed... nope, off to Saturn Valley"
Dr Ardonauts: "You need to head to Onett and get a piece of the meteor, oh and Giygas and his forces have invaded the town"
white version is awakening-esque in terms of letting you dick around on the world map and grind if you need to, black version is more fire emblem classic, with more varied map objectives and just letting those mistakes you made really sink in
the story paths split 1/6 of the way through the game, at chapter 5, which means they're both about as long as awakening's campaign individually.
difficulty can be changed midway through, which is nice.
the cast is largely shared, but won't be appearing on the same terms in one campaign as in the other. So a lot of characters will be showing up as bosses on the other campaign, I'm guessing. That'll be fun.
Yay for it being one game over here. Still haven't played Awakening.
Hyrule Warriors is pretty fun so far though, just got the point in Legend where everything goes to hell. That sure didn't take long. Also Impa made me roll my eyes again during the Triforce bit when it showed up on Sheik's hand and she expressed confusion because it should be on Zelda. Yeah, no shit, now put two and two together.
Also apparently Nintendo gave me some free DLC? I can now play as Cia, Volgas, and Wizzro.

well, they haven't confirmed it'll be one game, actually, re-reading that
(it will though, considering how the NOA direct edited out all the two-game stuff)

they're in like a magical forest that sabrina has conjured

Lance was particularly fond of targeting trainers with his Dragonite's hyper beam.
well, I guess that makes sense
with a spoon even
i'm not sure whether or not it's a shame this series wasn't the basis for the cartoon, it at least seems bonkers in a more interesting way???
to be fair lance (and the rest of the elite 4) were a group of environmental terrorists

Also Blue uses his Charmeleon to slice Koga's Arbok in half. (it gets better)

Sign me up for the next war
Marth retired though
I hoarded Hint Coins in other games, but I'm not even halfway done (I assume, ~45 puzzles found) and I've used more than fucking thirty of the things
Making puzzles more vague doesn't make them harder, it makes them more frustrating

When you've had a steady bong rip it's a Christmas miracle to get off your own couch, I don't blame him one bit for retirement

"We must find the hero of legend! Oh we won't find him among these recruit Zelda."
*Zelda staring at the only recruit without a helmet who is unmistakably Link*
Then later in the battle doesn't recognize him at all despite boring a hole through his head with how hard she was staring earlier.
Hyrule Warriors isn't the best story ever
Even with Tingle
I think Impa took a few too many blows to the head to not recognize her.
Why I fear the ocean.
Because there was one. Only found out about it when I found a complete collection at a library.
...Wasn't too crap, all things considered.
