Compaq ram in my comp with Cruical bad idea?

I came across some working compaq DDR 400 ram and my computer needs ram bad. Bad idea to put it in with my current cruical ram?

    The COMPAQ ram goes bad and you have to buy some more. Or it lasts forever, despite your best efforts. Who's to say?

    Might be a good idea to pull the Crucial and run Memtest86+ on the Compaq stick, just to be sure.

    Even if the Compaq RAM was bad somehow... it's not like it'd infect the Crucial RAM or something.

    And even if it DOES... Crucial has a lifetime warranty.

    Man up and shove that RAM into that slot, son. Mount that thing into the motherboard.
