Also I think I only posted this on the SE thread but lots of info to go through if you wanna explore some of the systems but not story spoilers for P5.

Oh fucking hell.
That annoyed the shit out of me with Tales of Zestiria. I fucking hope it doesn't linger in the NA Version.
Should I be doing Random Fusion or Demon Strengthen in this DDS thing?
In my experience, Random Fusion sucks.
I think I had an awesome one in Soul Hackers via DDS but I have not had any luck here. Growth isn't much better, though. I've only gotten +1 to one attribute.

Should I maybe do Fusion at the beginning of the game and then just strengthen towards the end maybe?
You can experiment with it. It's never provided me with anything interesting the few times I tried. It's usually easy enough to make whatever you want via normal fusion without worrying about randomness. Maybe you can get lucky and get something good? I just didn't really see any good benefit.
Although if you have a lot of demon slots I guess it's not bad I didn't invest in those for a long time. Doesn't hurt to throw something in there if you can't fuse it normally.
Really either option is fine. Like I said that's more of the secondary effect. Whatever you feel like doing there is completely fine.
Hey, let's not forget pit mazes (where you have to keep jumping down pits and climbing back up to advance), though those are predictable and so less silly.
EO is okay in the few instances they come up as the ingame mapping makes it simpler to deal with.
If the map tells you where it goes, a teleporter is just a door.
Nah doors go two ways and you know where it's taking you before it you go through it.
But I said that.
??
You can see where a door goes. It goes to the other side of the door.
You don't know where a teleporter goes until you step through it. And then you are in a new area and cant just turn around.
Whether a map shows you where you just came from for future reference or not doesn't change any of those aspects of a teleporter making them still very different from a door.

Is there any point in Apoc where I'm but dress up stupidly? Kind of sucks to see all these hunters in badass uniforms and I'm here in a freaking tutu or some crap

Each new city opens up a few new options.
The first couple are all silly but there are cool ones later.

We'll all basically going ??? to your complaints @DemonStacey because they're common things in Dungeon RPGs. The last few SMT games aren't anything special in that regard.
Wizardry. Etrian Odyessey. Eliminage. Generation Xth/Operation Abyss. Demon Gaze. Stranger of Sword City. Etc.
Teleporters. One-way doors. Trapped floors. Trapped chests. Spinning blocks. One-Way movement blocks. Etc.
Operation Abyss probably being the most abusively sadistic, with that one section with the alternating water and anti-magic strips. God there was nothing fun about that.
I always try to do teleporter dungeons in one sitting, so I can keep all the warps in my head.
That said, I hated Monochrome Forest with a passion in SMT4.
I also hated Camp Ichigaya. No teleporters in that one, but it was my least favorite dungeon next to Monochrome Forest with all the damned one-way doors.

Operation Abyss had such good dungeon design.
Sword of the Stranger too. Only with much better combat.

I was saying that having well marked map does not turn teleporters into doors. That's just incorrect. And if they are set up in such a way that this is the case then making personal notes also just turns them into doors so that argument still isn't very strong.
My personal problem with making real world notes is it just doesn't make any sense in the game world perspective unless I can make notes in game/ on the game map myself.
Like if making notes is the smart thing to do the character in the game who actually has the map in front of them should be doing that. I don't actually have the map in front me to be making notes on.

While everybody and their grandmother is playing Apocalypse, I'm still going through SMTIV for the first time.
Was surprised to find a demonica suit at level 20.
For some reason I wasn't expecting to be able to get these this early in the game, assumed you would have to earn them in an optional side dungeon later on or something.
You won't hear me complaining though. Looks great.

MY GOD.
Yea especially if the minimap doesn't mark where they took you.
Because if you have to stop in the middle and try to resume you're basically just starting from scratch.
I hear the final dungeon is filled with teleporters and real long.
Not looking forward to that.

Just do strengthen.
It doesn't do much but the main draw is the XP tomes and APP point cards not the demon stuff so don't worry about it too much.

Well it gets turned into a new demon.
So yea don't put something up that you want to keep as it is or have specific other fusion plans for it.
Boy, don't play Strange Journey......
Teleporters are a dungeon crawling staple. Most in the genre have them.
// Switch: SW-5306-0651-6424 //
There's good teleporters and bad teleporters.
And bad teleporters are made even worse when you add one way doors to the mix C'MON APOCALYPSE, REALLY?!
You should play Experience Inc. DRPGs.

Exactly. One of the big points of teleporter dungeons is taking your own notes.

Going old-school solves that problem.
