God. I played so much of 2, just fucking DESTROYING dudes in it. You just rip people apart in that game.

I've been wanting to play SoF for a long time. The shotgun in the game looks brutal.
Also, voting is going on for 3 games right now. Winner will be free in a couple days. The choices are Shadow Warrior 2, Firewatch, or Superhot. Personally hoping SW2 wins.

I went for Superhot since I heard SW2 isn't as good as 1.

Superhot is cool, though I've already gotten it free twice now through twitch prime and games with gold.
The 10th anniversary collections have some pretty damn good deals. I pulled the trigger on the $10 one (Owlboy, Dragon Age Origins, Homeworld remastered). The $5 one is amazing too, but I have all of them except Another World/Out of this World.
You beat me by a few minutes. Came over to post the same thing.
it's a slow day at work so I've been sitting here watching, waiting until I could actually get through to confirm the link. I just got the email confirmation that it has been added to my account.
I must have got lucky since I loaded the page and clicked the "yeah I would like a free game" button just fine. WOO!!! I so wanted to buy the $5 or $10 level but realized I had all the games in them already.
I must have played through Dark Sun: Shattered Lands a million times but I can barely get a quarter of the way through Wake of the Ravager before I throw my hands up in frustration. Such a shit sequel.
I remember seeing reviews of the Dark Sun games back in the day and thinking they looked cool, but old D&D CRPG implementations tend to be hard as balls. Hell, I play actual D&D games these days and their CRPGs are still a collection of obtuse systems and DM Wants To Kill The Players difficulty...
I don't remember anything about the contents of the games, but I remember hours I spent min-maxing my config.sys and autoexec.bat to have enough low memory to run Wage of the ravager from the cd-rom.

I do know I finished Wake of the Ravager, but I think I've only played it once or twice, whereas as I've played Shattered Lands many times. It's been so long since I've played Wake of the Ravager that I barely remember anything of it, other than it was pretty buggy. They're still some of my favorite D&D games, though. The Dark Sun setting was so unique.

That tweet is so ridiculously unprofessional(lacking punctuation namely) that it feels like an intern or someone with no idea of what they were doing wrote it.
Edit: Just read an article supporting the guy who got fired. They made it sound like he was victim of doxing and threats that were not warranted. Also sounds like others supported the guy and blamed GoG. If what I read here this wasn't his first mistake and just a string of mistakes and his canning was justified.
Granted, I don't know if this is confirmed or not despite him writing "confirmed." I'm not sure how much I trust a site called lulz, which is what he linked to.
I never heard of this game before. What is so special about it?
It was pretty unique when it came out. It used the rotoscoping animation of games like Another World and Prince of Persia (and played pretty much like those). It had a (IMO) decent sci-fi story with a "They Live" twist. It featured platforming and puzzle-solving, creating a pretty neat mix. I personally just liked the setting and the level design. A lot of people didn't like the puzzles and felt the game suffered because of them, and I can see that, but it never bothered me. The first level is probably the longest/hardest in that respect, so it exacerbated things having it come up first.
If you like Another World or Prince of Persia, you definitely should check it out.

I'm seeing US $19.99 regular price when I click from the announcement to the NWN:EE page. Am I missing something?
Edit: Ah, you're looking at the Digital Deluxe version. Nevermind.

Kind of sad it's just W3 tracks... was hoping to see Peaceful Moments or The Dike performed.
They blame someone for all those stupid posts?

I loved this game on the Genesis, but never got the PC version. It's $9.99, but currently 10% off at $8.99.
