Trying to get Two Worlds to work

I bought Two Worlds Epic Edition from GOG a while ago, and installed it yesterday. When I tried to run it, it completely froze at the main menu. All I could do was move my mouse cursor; I couldn't click on anything, and keypresses didn't respond either. I ended up having to close it via Task Manager. I looked around and found several people saying you need to install Nvidia PhysX Legacy version. I did that, and it still doesn't work. Since that's the only recommendation I've found for this problem, I don't know what to do now. I'd appreciate some help.
