Did you get a Weasel error right beforehand? That always hard-locks my Xbone networking, so I have to do a full reset (hold the power button for 10 seconds, etc).
i got a canary error and then my Xbone just went off-line completely and told me my wireless password was wrong.
is all fixed now, it just had to happen right as the expansion launched.
EDIT: anyway, i'm up for running NF, weekly, any HoW story missions or bounties. anything really on Xbone.
Just to be clear, nothing requires vanguard/crucible marks anymore; and they're only used for rep gains; correct?
EDIT: shite, was gonna wait to do the nightfall till I had done the story missions; but I think I want the xp/rep buff before I start diving into the other stuff.
Guess I'm up for nightfall(s) after I drop my daughter off at the bus stop, so like...30m ish.

Wow. I don't know if the helmets that DO and NM had before are what they have now, but they look pretty slick on a Hunter. I turned in my (very few) blue engrams which put me to the new rank and got a Legendary Chest engram from the postmaster. Turned into what I'm guessing is a Crucible chest. Hooray for not having to level it up to get the 36 Light out of it! That's pretty awesome. Also, I didn't realize that Exotics would be Ascended with shards. I misunderstood when people were buying them en masse, I thought it was to upgrade them ... a different way. I dunno. I was busy with a newborn, sue me!
How much does the aim assist column actually impact pvp? I've akways sniped with revenge which had the worst assist. For quick swipe sniping I could see a big assist number being huge if it makes it more sticky ass you pass the head.
Also what's with the new sidearm guns?
Today is the worst day! Destiny is my crack and weapon stats on spreadsheets is my ecstasy...

Don't put off the story mission and do Nightfall first, you get the Vestian Destiny sidearm early from the story missions and it's great for the burn.
I think I'm going to trash the majority of my pre 333 weapons. Most don't have perks that are good enough to warrant spending the materials to upgrade them to 333 and certainly not use a light to get to 365. For some reason I was thinking their material requirements would be reduced in HoW so I hang on to a ton.
Also, bummed that salvaging HoW legendary weapons just gave motes of light, and no shards. It's kind of obnoxious that the only source for TDB radiants is CE and only CE. Granted, the only equipment that uses them are from CE, but...still. :P

So I quit playing crotas end and destiny because I hit 31 and realized it would be like...... 40(?) more shards to hit 32 and fuck that. So I am going to have to go back and farm more shards out of CE to get to 34 anyways because I need to ascend my gear?

Well, the influx of new items and gear and weapons (oh god the WEAPONS) has forced me to consider culling my weapon stash down even further. I suppose I don't really need a pair of Solar Harm's Ways. I don't think I need to have three Atheon's Epilogues. Maybe just one? I only use the weapon when I go into the Vault.
I guess I need to decide if I really need multiples of some raid weapons and exotics. As it was, I was just hanging onto all of them for the most part and only sharding them if I got above three. But my vault overflows again.
Hmm...I guess my thought needs to be "Would you Ascend this?"
If so, keep multiples and plan on Ascending at least one. But then, I would like to have an Ascended Epilogue but not three of them...
Damn it, they just increased the size of the vault. And I'm already back to this position? Never a more apt example of "growing to fit" than this, I think.

HoW equipment upgrades is really confusing the Tower Ghost chrome plugin, it doesn't seem able to tell what things are actually missing xp now, vs simply not being upgraded to HoW.

While I agree in concept, I generally have the defender setup so ALL my melee hits generate orbs of light while force barrier is active so... :biggrin:

Ascending gear does not require Radiant (or Ascendant) shards. Ascending legendary gear requires Etheric Light; Ascending exotic gear requires Exotic Shards.

I can't imagine it doesn't? They'd have had to made those specific rep gains separate from every other rep gain that gets the buff.
Hanging onto mine until after the nightfall.
And am seriously regretting decrypting all the stuff on my characters inventories, before realizing that I lost a ton of rep by not waiting.
At least I still have all the armor in my vault waiting to decrypt.
