Well, I got my Hunter to 32. Took two exotic shards and 120 Crucible marks to do it, but whatever. Downside is I am now wearing the Dead Orbit helm. Upside is I'm wearing my Don't Touch Me's for the first time, really.

Did the Nightfalls and got one of the new Exotics... The Titan boots that I called extremely useless... At least they look really cool and - Shaders affect it!
I also got an Etheric Light from another Nightfall, we basically bumrushed them to get the Nightfall bonus, no idea what I'm going to use the Etheric Light for yet.
Also, turning in Exotic Quests gives weapons with a max of 365!
The nightfall is surprisingly fun and not particularly painful.
I got an etheric light, the Lucky Raspberry, and some forgettable fusion rifle. I'll probably put the etheric light on my hunter so he can hit 33 for HM Crota shenanigans, and the Lucky Raspberry completes my pre-HoW exotic collection!
So, you can apparently reforge your Iron Banner weapons already.
But you can't get Firefly and Outlaw at the same time anymore on Gheleon's Demise.
Also, they removed Hammerforged from Shotguns (Felwinter's Lie) and Field Scout from everything, meaning you can't get a Field Scout Jolder's Hammer anymore. I guess I can go ahead and reroll the spare one I had kept then. I know there are a couple of replacement Field Scout perks, but they do the thing where you lose something as well. So, obviously not as good.
Oh man... it's gonna be a tough call as to which gun I Ascend first: Timur's Lash or Fatebringer. I have a 300 dmg Timur's with Spray and Play; Field Scout/Single Point Sling (bleh)/Explosive Rounds; Third Eye.
That's really going to be a tough call, cuz that Timur's was just a beast before TDB dropped.

Also as originally guessed you can transcend 300 -> 365.
Good thing I saved my old 300 damage Gjallarhorn, which is now my 2nd 365 Gjallarhorn.
I saved a Super Good Advice to turn in. Looks like it has max attack but you still need to fill the circles. I scrapped it for the exotic shard and ascended my maxed out 331 to get it to 365.
Is the new crucible and vanguard gear worth getting?
Depends on what you need, I suppose.
It's base light 36, so getting 4 slots will immediately get you to 32 with no leveling of your gear.
So that's a boon if you're behind the curve, or don't have CE gear.
If you're already 32, not really, unless you just want them for looks.
Weapons, well, just depends on what you need, again. They start at 331, so they're better out of the gate than pre HoW weapons, but the ultimately have the same damage cap as past legendaries, when upgraded with Etheric Light.
Maybe some perks are only on HoW stuff? I'm not sure about that, but basically, if you don't have 331 weapons and you see something from a vendor, go for it?
Just like before, the vendor gear is catch up gear. It'll get you out of the gate to the base cap of the previous DLC (or base game), but isn't better than gear you can find out in the wild.

I don't think you can reroll them at all.

I wasn't 32, decided to hit 32 in my shiny new boots, chest, and head piece. Loads me up on INT and DIsc so it's good for PVP mostly. Will probably get the gloves to finish the load out but I spent a shard in Claws of Ahamakara and I like them for PvE anyways. (At least until I finish leveling my praise the sun chestpeice )
Beating the Nightfall gave me a Dead Orbit rank, which gave me a package with Revenant! Today has officially been the best day of Destiny, ever. Also got the DO shoulders, which look dope. Here's my character atm:

look Destiny, I'm really happy with my Helm of Inmost Light, i'm not going to be swapping it for anything else any time soon. so please stop giving my Titan legendary helms! please! i've gotten 3 new purple helms today. 4 if you count the warlock helm i got too. enough already!
on the other hand, i did just get an Admonisher III from a drop on Venus so that's not so bad.
Myself @Corporal Carl and @BlitzAce1981 have done all the story missions and the Nightfall on one of our characters each. Went pretty well, and we're now all rolling in the Grimoire and emblems.
We found 3 Ghosts in the outpost and 3 more on missions.
Also, the ascendening has begun. Most of the important stuff done, just couldn't be bothered going to the tower for glimmer exchange to do the rest. 365 vex fuckgun feels goooood.
Had to take a break for dinner and antibiotics but I'll be coming back for prison of elders soon.

My Glasshouse went from 119 Int to 126 Int. So not a huge boost, but still good.
