It is indeed super fast. By the third time we ran it our initial burn of the priest ended with my asking "Is that two ships at once?" and it was. He had a sliver of health left so I decided to go all YOLO and hunt him down with my Hunger of Crota rather than grind out the adds.

Ya he just melted lol. Got a shard, I mean an icebreaker. Final haul was 2 icebreakers and a no land beyond for the third guy. I don't exactly want that gun, but I don't have one so I would have played with it and been horrible before putting it in the vault I'm sure.
A fun triple Nightfall run with @Boozer and @Corporal Carl netted me a Ram, a shiny new Hawkmoon, and an Armamentarium. Carl came out with an Etheric Light! I'm so jealous.

Skolas is "Melee Damage Boost - Melee Damage from any source is greatly increased." No elemental burn is going to be long and slow. But as least as long as I don't get punched, it should be profoundly easier than last week.
Arc/solar burn plus small arms is going to make the nightfall a breeze with my fatebringer. This should be fun!

Now I just have to wait what the IB boots/gloves are going to be before spending that Etheric...

So is the Nightfall still bugged where you need someone down low or the Vex waves reset?
Wasn't that in patch notes? If so "bugged" is probably not the right term for it.
If you chill past the bridge in that area where Hobs spawn on wave 2 it works just fine. Really, it only stops you from being ridiculously far away so I don't have much issue with it though why they bothered to change that of all things if a little baffling.

So Bungie's own website is wrong? Go figure.
If it's a void burn it will be a very easy fight! I'm looking forward to not dying near instantly over and over.

Did you hear the one about the “stealth fix” that made the Winter’s Run Strike harder to complete? Well, that was a rumor. Yes, the Strike did gain some complexity for the encounter at the base of the Fallen Ketch. It just wasn’t our intention.
EDIT: In any event, it simply keeps me from soloing the Nightfall. If anyone is around later, I'm interested.

Good to know House of Wolves has some surprises left. I'm still expecting some sort of event to offer Queen's Guard class items (which already exist in the database, I still have my Cloak of the Sixth Reign from back in October).
Week 5 is going to be telling - if we get back to gloves and it's still strength it's Bungies way of saying "You can get to 34 quickly, but it is still up to RNG to get to 34 with the stats you want."
It doesn't really bother me that it's all strength though - both VoG and Crotes gave me sucky stat rolls on my armor for the first few weeks (if it even gave me armor!)
So I'm going to be popping on for Nightfalls on PS4 in about an hour to an hour and a half from now.

You know what's really cool? As soon as you hit rank 2 with Variks you get a Judgment's Grant every week. Has a mix of planetary resources, glimmer consumables and the like.
I figured the one I got last week was a one time deal, but he just gave me another after the reset.
With my expert crucible skills (lie) I carried (this is lie also) @AngryPuppy and @hoodie13 through the Trials of Osiris unscathed to reach the beauty that is Mercury.
Honestly, both those guys shoulders are sore from lifting me to Mercury - scored an Arc Jewel of Osiris for the effort - was immensely great fun, although I now need a sedative for the adrenaline running through my system at the moment. Unfortunately, @hoodie13 couldn't join us in the hallowed halls, but I'm guaranteeing that as soon as he is available again, I will allow him to carry me back to help him reach Mercury...
Let my folly be your warning:
Always check your Trials card before you begin your run. I accidentally had one loss on it from last week, and that loss (and not having the buffs) kept me from Mercury.
Zhere's no Banana like Iron Banana it's ze best Banana in ze land. And ze other Banana, iz a bullshit Banana, if you played it for a day you'd understand.
So I'm going to be popping on for Nightfalls on PS4 in about an hour to an hour and a half from now.
