I don't understand how you guys farm gold for heirlooms at a speed comparable to flying around to fires.
I rack up 500-2000 gold a day just signing in and doing garrisons and my JC daily, depending on how lucky I am with garrison quests actually dropping a 500 golder one.
That's like 2-3 days per heirloom.
IMO, focus on all the ones that give you exp first, then pump gold into the weapons, then finish it off with the necklaces.

Which heirlooms to get is not a huge issue for me, it's getting the 5k gold per to upgrade from 90 to 100 on the several that I already have.
I don't get nearly 500g a day from garrison missions, though I guess part of that is only have 1 level 100 character. I guess this is just an issue of having not played for a year plus. That'll teach me to get bored of Siege of Orgrimmar.

Yeah once all your dudes have 675 gear, it's no big deal to get money. I get probably 2-5 gold missions a day, and with the treasure seeker followers it's like I'm rolling around in gold. I never broke 100k before, even chugging down the max amount of dailies I could do a day.

I don't plan on upgrading any heirlooms. It's already stupid fast to level through WoD; and I have the Garrosh weaps (most of them)
I dont think you understand how great the heirlooms are in WoD content. I just finished levelling my mage through there. He was 95 and a half by the end of Frostfire Ridge, I did a dungeon to break 96, then I went right to Spires. Didn't touch Gorgrond, Talador, or Nagrand at all.
I don't think the 90-100 weapon upgrades are worth it, nor the Garrosh heirlooms. For ~500g you can pick up an ilevel 640 crafted weapon - they only require lvl 91 to equip. The heirloom weapons don't give XP so are largely pointless.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that the heirlooms aren't overly needed 90-100. Quest blues are thrown at you constantly and there are relatively easy ways to gear up quick once you hit 100.
In other news, it looks like I'll be relearning Elemental for the upcoming tier. Enh and SV are apparently near the bottom in most analysis.
What's funny is part of me just wants to prove my raid wrong and laugh at anyone I beat on meters.
Once flying is enabled and packed with heirlooms, it will be extremely possible to just fly around after Tanaan and just level by grabbing treasures, maybe grabbing a bonus objective here and there

I couldn't even get a 630 blue weapon for less than 2000g

2000G is chump change though, especially when the alternative is a significantly less powerful heirloom for 5000g.
5000g for something that maxes out at ilevel 605, compared with the crafted one that is 630 all the way through.
There's really no reason to get the 90 to 100 upgrade for weapons, even if you're leveling on a new server, since you can save up the cost of a crafted by just ignoring flying in any zone where it's not needed to get around while leveling (any expac content where you can almost max out in the first zone, which is everything except Wrath content). Just skip the flying upgrades and buy a weapon for hitting 91, and you'll have enough from vendored quest weapons to go back and get the flying upgrades you skipped out on before you hit 100.
But then you have the collectors like me, who want all of it anyways because it looks -wrong- for some things to not be maxed out.
Edit - Dear lord, I forgot how horrible the default UI is for Garrisons. Master Plan needs to be updated quick, fast, and in a hurry.
I'm not sure if it's just a bad day or what, but wow, I've gotten... like... one gold mission today. For 55g.
I hope that's just an outlier. I only have one 100 character, and I was kind of hoping the nerfs weren't going to shank me in the ass that fucking bad.
I grabbed another garrison mod and man it really makes me miss the compactness of Master Plan.

Hopped in late and found the guild doing HFC. The Gurtogg/Council fight was pretty fun. I was worried that it would be Maidens 2.0.
Then did Kazzak on my alt. Kinda nice having a world boss that's a pushover that also drops useful/usable gear.
Also ran a mythic dungeon with the guildies. We did Shadowmoon Burial. Place is a giant F U to melee toons. Also found a bug where telegraphed attacks were not matching up with their telegraphs.
Too shy to try? It won't throw you into a real raid immediately no matter what.
In my experience, assuming we're talking about the "raid" button in the new Adventure Journal, the button will point you at LFR. Ironically LFR is not enabled this week so it is a button that dead-ends real quick. However the results may vary with gear. It also suggested that I do "Mythic Blackrock Furnace" with a different character on one of the tabs which means it is actively looking at your gear and attempting to point you to a good raiding choice.
Hilarious that it thinks that just slapping together a Mythic group would be something feasible but I suppose it's really supposed to be more of a guide line...
FYI: If you use one of the new tokens that drops from literally everything in Tanaan and get an Epic upgrade to 670 from it, that +20 ilvls doesn't remain when you spend the 20k apexis to upgrade it as I discovered last night.
The Amperial constructs (portal elementals) from mage tower are bugging out. Instead of leaping, my characters now do the hyperfast shuffle from one portal to another.
I get that our ilvl helped us, but it's not like characters that didn't do much mythic are necessarily that far behind (my druid's never even stepped into a mythic raid and is 693ilvl or something)
we did brute force hellfire council to kind of a hilarious degree though

Heroic is not endgame for bleeding edge guilds. My guild main raid ran normal with half mains half alts, then tonight they switch around. Then tomorrow and Monday is heroic the same way. Idea being too get set bonuses and class trinkets to as many mains as possible for the Mythic race that starts next week.
Welp. Chatting with my guildies and such today has convinced me that I'm pretty much done with WoW. The random crazy ass changes made to all sorts of things just pretty much killed the little fun I was having with it. Oh well. Maybe they'll change some other stuff and it will be fun again in the next expac. I guess we'll see.

What tipped you over the edge?
I haven't enjoyed this expansion at all. We raid once a week but aren't having much fun outside of that. The new content seems a little bit better than what they had before but there's really nothing outside of raids keeping us subbed. Don't know if we'll manage to even get 10 people anyway but reports from HFC sounds like there's a bigger step up from normal to heroic this time than BRF which is bound to cause people to bow out of the group as we'd have to field pugs. The pugs we got for BRF heroic were awful even on the easier bosses like Gruul.

They feel very Iron Maidens / Blast Furnace respectively.

If I push the raid button it will take me to a real raid or to the lfr?
yeah I did Shadowmoon Burial on my rogue and said nope to any more dungeons

Heroic HFC is super tightly tuned, right now. The vast majority of guilds making any heroic progress at all are the ones who were deep in BRF Mythic

Well I guess we know what the next expansion is. Not that it's really a surprise.
Assuming they have no more raid content planned for this one.

We were able to get 11/13 Normal and 9/13 Heroic done so far,
I am dreading Heroic Zul'horrac. I think it's going to be a nightmare.
we finished up iskar tonight, that fight was fun
