So you're saying I should reroll my +2 to strength thingy? Damn it!
That depends on how much you feel like min-maxing it. If you're rolling in uniques and Hulk is gonna be your 'main' and feel like re-rolling it half a dozen more times after you get +1 INT, +2 Speed, +1 fighting, etc. then go for it.
If you're me, and you're more of an alt-aholic with lots of other things you're feeding, I'd take that +2 and just use it. I've got a +2 energy on Scarlet Witch and I'm just using it for now. Maybe when I've got a stash tab of uniques I'm not using that I want to burn, then I'll see if I can reroll it.

You either download the test center client from the website. This acts just like the normal client from the website but breaks easier.
Or you can go into steam and right click on Marvel Heroes that is installed and go to properties. Go to Betas and click on the "select the beta you would like to opt into". Click on only option which should be something like pub_mh_testcenter. And click ok. It will download the files you need to patch the steam client. This will over write your steam client and so you will have to go into properties and select NONE to patch back to normal if you need to log into live from steam. When you patch back from TC to live on Steam it just re downloads what you have to patch to get back to live and is pretty fast.
Okay, so I can either opt int/opt out with steam or download the separate test client. If I download the separate test client, will it require a whole new separate installation of Marvel Heroes? I know the Steam route would not.

Yes. And the default patcher is kind of crap. There were many times I had to redownload the entire TC because I started the patcher too early or I just had to. The only problem with opting in and out is that you will have to redownload live to play live. But not the entire live. Just what was patched.
Note: It doesnt look like the TC is up on steam.

For team ups I still need Arachne, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman, The Deadpool Kid, Pirate Deadpool, the achievement Groot, and Wasp.

it also depends on your access to pets and heroes.
+3 fighting is generally considered (imho and iirc and afaik) to be BIS for pets with the added benefit of you being able to use the pet on any new hero straight from lvl 1 as pets are not bound to heroes.
or if you want to roleplay a Scarlet Witch with +2 strength then now you can!
so if you have one pet you might as well go for bust and reroll till you get it, unless of course you want 50 relics multiple times or hella cash or something.
I do too. i wish you had the option to consider your current roll the floor on future rolls for things like Uniques.

The Diablo 3 system of spending materials to generate a re-roll on an item, but then deciding if you want that one or if you want to stick with what you have already is much much better. So the sink is still there but it is far more user friendly.
I'd like if when you roll something, you can choose to use it, or remove it from that pet's possible rolls. So if you get +1 int, you won't get that roll again.

Well you want +3 in your stat of choice or +1 to all stats. Reroll everything else.
I wouldn't reroll +2 strength until I had a +3 strength available
+2 is good enough and really noticeable rather than spending the 6 months with nothing because the RNG gods hate you
fuck gendered marketing

So whats the deal with Gaz as far as using X-Men stuff goes?
Seems like Marvel has been clamping down on licensing mutant stuff lately, not an X-Men fan myself so it doesn't really affect me but was curious on how that might translate into video game related stuff.
Fox owns the rights to live action versions of the X-Men and most relating characters, as they have since the 90s, but Disney/Marvel still own the right to everything else and are producing material as usual
pretty sure Gaz' deal for mutants are the same as all other characters
Don't pay any attention to that rumour. It makes zero sense and Marvel has absolutely nothing to gain by doing that.
Edit: To be clear, I'm referring to this.
Of course long term readers on Bleeding Cool can just add this to the long list of withdrawn licenses from Marvel for anything related to the X-Men or Fantastic Four… as part of the publishers dispute with Fox, who owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four movie licenses.

They literally aren't publishing any more runs of the Fantastic Four expansion for Legendary because Marvel doesn't want to publish more Fantastic Four stuff. I think that they are also supposed to be axing the FF title comic after this summer.
It's part of the reason why they are pumping the Inhumans so hard. It lets Marvel essentially roll them into being the new "mutants"

But the X-Men books are still huge. Currently, almost everything's on hiatus because of Secret Wars, but it'll all be back in some form. Marvel has far more to gain from promoting FF and X-Men stuff than not because the movies and merch make far more money than the comics.

They could be taking a long view of trying to get the rights back.

Money that goes to Fox.
Essentially, them promoting the Xmen is them promoting a vehicle where the one who profits most from it is someone else.
And yes, Xmen has one of the most titles, but they're supposed to be paring back on them after the summer.
It doesn't do Marvel a whole lot of good to be pushing Xmen so hard when they don't get most of the money for all the work. It's free promotion for Fox.

Download, let it patch and then log in with your usual ID and password.
Severs seem to be down right now though.

That is...
Green: +8% health, 1% damage reduction, 2% area damage reduction, or 2% boss damage reduction
Blue: +50 Spirit
Purple: +10% brutal damage
Cosmic: +1 to all skills
Unique: +3 Fighting
That'll be useful on any hero, and then you can go through the hell of trying to make a second or third pet or so on more uniquely tailored
but it is a hell that you can use and fall back on.

Seems to be a lot of stories like this going around these days.
Something similar with the removal of Fantastic Four and X-Men characters on secret wars t-shirts, apparently.
Thats what I thought. Wasn't sure though.

Really? What pets?
Its a guilty pleasure. And I think after awhile, I started reading it so much I can miss the sensationalism at times.
I like the reports like that though. Him poking the bear and mildly annoying Tom Brevoort.
It's a mini sentinel, pic from the forums.
I'll probably pick one up tonight.

They could be taking a long view of trying to get the rights back.
it has no effect on whether the movies are popular or not
Marvel can only hope to get the rights back organically, or by working out deals like they did with Spider-Man
meanwhile, their best bet is to keep making comics about X-Men and FF so they get some payout if the movies are popular
Money that goes to Fox.

the audience for x-men comics is locked into seeing the films anyway; all marvel's doing by not publishing them is leaving money on the table.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
