Well, mutants and inhumans both have a mix of those. Blackbolt looks like a perfectly normal person, he just can't speak or he'll cause massive destruction. On the other hand, Beast doesn't look human at all.
I'm convinced Maximus' mutation was to become a handsome summbitch
No kidding.
Somehow he was nailing Rogue not too long ago.
Age and the super villian thing have not slowed him down over the years apparently.
Maximus can control people can't he?
I know he is controlling
Blackbolt
via mind control or something or one point, and is limited in the number of people he can control at once.
Also yeah, the inhumans do have human looking ones as well, but it seems to be in far less number than the mutants. Although xmen has gotten better about that in the last few iterations of making more monstrous mutants.

He was controlling Black Bolt for a short while but Black Bolt ended up paying him back by whispering his hands off.
Maximus fell off a cliff afterwards but you know how is it in comics, you don't see a body, they're not dead. And even if you do see the body, they'll just spring back up in a year anyway.
Once you get her clone ability, shes really fun to play in melee, just flipping out, slicing people, sliding around, teleporting. It was super fun to play her, but she is really squishy and exploded easily in Cosmic Midtown.

Her ranged build is still squishy but can tag shit from a safe distance. And still teleports out of danger. So as long as you don't run into mass AoE...
Fucking zooming around on a surfboard shooting space lasers at people is way more fun than it
Nope
As fun as it sounds.

Ms./Captain Marvel is so much fun. Plus the voice acting (which absolutely fits her character) makes me think this is her internal monologue as I play.
"Can I punch/kick/uppercut it?"
If yes: "Awesome! Time to punch things. Like a girl! Which is boss!"
If No: "Drat, but can I blast it?"
"Oh Carol, you can always blast it, like in twenty different ways."
"That's right! Sometimes I just forget how awesome I am."
"Wait Carol, you could also fly real high, crash into them for an energy explosion, explode again with energy, then punch/kick/uppercut the crap out of them and then blast anyone left standing."
"Now Carol, that's some impressive thinking."

Hello everyone,
As part of the 2nd birthday of Marvel Heroes, we are including a change to a major game system.
Starting with the 2nd anniversary patch, you will no longer need a Retcon Device to change your Power Points or Omega Points allocation.
This is obviously a pretty big change, but the time has come to go for it.
The original intent for semi-permanent Power allocations was to create important decision making choices with regards to combinations of powers and builds.
This design philosophy has roots in classic RPGs, including the esteemed Diablo 2. The design created attachment to specific hero builds and allowed players to identify themselves as a specific play style - “I’m a Hammerdin”, “I’m a Skellymancer”.
With the evolution of the Marvel Heroes over the last two years, the sheer number of heroes that exist, the number of items, item slots, synergies and the ever increasing game modes, including raids with various mechanics and upcoming content such as Danger Room and Leaderboards, the time has come to allow player flexibility to win out over permanence of decision making when it comes to power point allocation.
This was a fairly tough decision, but the change became more and more obvious as the game grows and expands and it’s obviously something that’s been discussed and requested frequently over the past couple of years.
Below is a short FAQ about the change - if you have any additional questions, please feel free to post them in this thread and we’ll get them answered.
FUN FAQ
When does this change to Retcon Devices take effect?
The change will take effect at the start of the second anniversary of Marvel Heroes, during the first week of June, 2015.
How I will reset my Power Points once this change is made?
You’ll be able to reset Power Points in any zone when out of combat using the reset button in the Powers interface.
There is no restriction to the number of times you may reset your Power Points and there is no cost associated with it. It’s completely free and flexible.
How will this change affect the Omega System?
Omega Points will get the same treatment - they may be changed freely any number of times at no cost.
What will happen to existing Retcon Devices?
Existing Retcon Devices will remain in your inventory; each one will be converted to an “Ancient Forgotten Device” with unlimited stack size.
You’ll be able to trade in these new Devices for various items from Clea. The list of items Clea will provide will be available after the patch, but will include some inexpensive items for a small number of exchanged Devices and some items worth many Retcon Devices for the veteran players who have accumulated hundreds of them over the last two years.
What About Forced Respecs When Powers Change?
As a side effect of the Retcon change, we will much less frequently need to create “forced reset” of power points whenever a change is made to a hero.
What about Advance Pack 2 owners?
Owners of Advance Pack 2 are owed some Retcon devices with each hero release. Those Retcon Devices will be upgraded to a pack of potions with a higher value than the Retcons to ensure those players come out ahead.

Is there a dummy guide to the Omega points and/or the Hero Synergy systems? They were added after I got Hawkeye up to 50ish and stopped playing for awhile.
I think early on you're fairly safe to throw omega points into Spintech (+damage rating vs bosses). By the time you've earned enough to actually spend it anywhere else, maybe you'll have looked up specific builds and they'll show you more.
X-23 is Wolvie 2.0. Better in pretty much every way. I have a friend who testifies to the movement build, I have never tried it myself, as one of the quickest cosmic boss clearing characters. I went bleed route and she was very strong there too.

Fun. And holy bajeesus does she do some raw damage. Probably the highest damage character I have.
I found the bleed tree and build to be consistant, but honestly a little dull. The movement build is great though. Lots of flipping around and executing fools.
The only thing about her is that a lot of her moves are kinda understated. Not a lot of big flashy as I'm used to playing people like Scarlet Witch or Storm. But man o' man does she kill folks good. It's so easy to hit rediculous crit numbers on her. And then using her Ult to turn those ALL into brutals.
I keep looking at x23 she's cheap for eternity splinters, but honestly I should probably just stick with hulk for a bit and do some cool farms before I jump ship to a new character.
I also like Ms Marvel if only for dem boots were made for walking.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

At some point you're gonna want to level some other characters. Partly because it gives a bonus to XP for more Omegas, partly because the synergies, and partly because some of them are so much fun. Juggernaut for instance. I play him terrible but I giggle happily while doing so because he's just so much fun. Gaz nailed what I wanted in the Juggernaut play experience. I run around dudes, give them a lariat and sometimes elbow drop fools.
Yeah I figure I'll level some others. I mean eventually ghost rider. But I was thinking since I did hulk maybe go with someone who's ranged? I do have magneto from a random.

Cyclops is universally good for his synergy Preach. Especially for a new player.

her movement build is really solid. She's not heavy on defense, so the extra little bit you get from that tree really does help. She still gets some decent bleeds and when you get enough crit/brut she really starts tearing through mobs. What's even better is when you're teamed with another hero who has the Empower on their ult. If she pops her ult during that time, whatever boss you're going against will be torn to shreds in no time.

Kid Cyclops is alright though.
Being more interesting than wolvie isn't really a feat.
