So that pirate deadpool teamup is kinda absurdly easy now that the steps are known, if anyone wants him
Step 1: /listen 10 times at Buccaneer Beach, not every hero has this emote so find one that does.
Step 2: Defeat hydra agents in Buccaneer Beach until the achievement for the bottle pops.
Step 3: Kill Hand Ninjas anywhere, I did it in the hand tower in chapter 3, it took me about 3 runs
Step 4: Fully clear the green Hood terminal, it took me about 3 runs
Step 5: Go murder dudes in Norway
Step 6: Fully clear the Man-Ape Oneshot, took me about a run and a half
Step 7: Defeat anyone in the Dino Jungle in chapter 7.
Something's up with the achievements, the notification won't pop up until you rezone, so occasionally check your inventory to see if you have another reward coffer if you do move on. Also the teamup itself drops on the ground after opening the box for the last achievement, so be careful and make sure you pick it up
So I went into the trial to see what was what. Beat it first try with Doom with mediocre equipment. That said I have some serious worries about it.
A) It has a heavy aoe focus- Doom and SW wont have trouble with it but they dont have trouble with anything. Melee characters that arent able to nuke the screens outside ults may have trouble beating the trial just because of the way the character works. There is no mechanics or anything testing the player- Nothing here tests the players ability to do much of anything. Nothing but a "can your character do x damage in y time" test .
c) Is nothing like cosmic midtown - The biggest problem of them all . While this one is subjective once I finished I was confused what that had to do with anything.
*Personal quirk* I enjoy seeing lots of different characters , when I went to CMM almost everyone I saw was either Doom or Wanda
These are my impressions make of them what you will. I will go back to bitching in supergroup chat about how slow my cosmic prestige is going.
its annoying that its a 5-7 minute event you will have to repeat 50 times in order to get all your heroes the flag, there should be some sort of complete with 1/2 of a team to fully flag the rest (half the xmen half the ff half the avengers etc).
BTW Jean is pretty nice now. Kind of like SW but without the TP and better quips. Well probably not as good as SW but her AoE is nice if not changed to be a bit bursty. I went full mental, lawl, on her and cleared Cosmic Kurse without a lego leveled up at all, no blessings and not the best gear.
I finished the cosmic test no problem on thing and he's very melee heavy. And I've seen a lot of heros in cosmic mid town, and sadly it has been a lot cleaner cosmics then before. Scrubs get no love.

I had a lot of trouble on Hulk because guess what, he couldn't really tank the damage that was being done there. I failed 6x, always either just after Madame Hydra spawned with 4 yellows still up, or when she goes invincible and the Bodyguard spawns. That bodyguard hits ridicilously hard.
I switched my Omegas all to health regen and equipped 2 artifacts with Energy Defense to deal with that and then I oneshotted though.
Also please don't run it 50 times unless you love it and want to do it again next week, because shockingly its got a bug that everyone will have to redo the trial ( hopefully with some kind of reward this time?) a second time after next weeks patch.

They added more drive drops because with so many things to buy on vendor now and Gaz's inability to run events on a regular schedule people didn't want to wait six months to get stuff. Plus, from what people were saying last night, it seems there is a 30 minute timer between buff drops.
There is a timer between buff drops, I did get the armor poison arti and threw it on my thing, it seemed to up my damage from when I had a hyde's in that slot, but I dunno I'm not the best min maxer, but this seemed like a damage boost over the hydes.
Also thanks a million for the Pirate Deadpool guide, hes awesome dps from what I have seen, well either that or I somehow unlocked an awesome dps thing from him and didn't notice.

Yeah I saw your topic , last night . Was wondering what happened to it. So I got a super good roll on the nano posion artifact on the last refresh of the store. +2 fighting +211 damage each stack and 3.9k health regen. Now I just need to get high enough level to use it.
the gate is so easy that it won't filter out anybody but the absolute most undergeared; there's videos of people doing it with only basic powers, one where iceman does it while afk, etc. I don't think those people were really a problem anyway, but whatever. Red patrols will probably mollify those folks somewhat (and be a better gameplay experience.)

so, something I've been wondering for a while is whether non-enhanced costumes ever have animation or voice changes associated with them
there are times that I could swear powers look different or characters will use VA that I haven't heard before, but I can't tell if that's just coincidence or the game reducing particle counts. Do they do little custom stuff like that, or is it only for the enhanced costumes?

I wonder what percentage of cosmic midtowners would need to be SW or doom for gaz to realize there's a problem; it already seems like it's about 25%

As someone said above, it really has absolutely nothing to do with any of the patrols though. Which is so weird for a patrol gate.

That is my major complaint. Its 6.5 hours to unlock content I already had access to just yesterday.
Was hoping his Fear Itself costume was going to be live with yesterday's patch, though.
