Doesn't look like it - just a pun on Air B&B. Get on it, PA tech guys!
I'm in two minds about its potential - one the one hand, it would be great to find more people to play with. On the other, there are a lot of people out there that I wouldn't want to be stuck in a room with for an evening. Axe murderers, meth heads, rules lawyers, people who say 4th Edition D&D sucks...
DC has a lot of public places that are good for playing so worst case scenario I'd just have a less than pleasant time at a bar. Alternatively it could be a fun way to meet new people.
Mainly I just don't want to be the one running a game but otherwise they never happen.

Must be pretty difficult for you since 4th edition was pretty bad...

The closest I can think of off the top of my head is GameFindr.
Not out yet, but should be soon.
You can leave thumbs up and down based on your interaction as well as a few lines explaining! Game Findr not only lets you connect with people who love the same games but it also lets you do a bit of research beforehand
People who get into tedious arguments about which editions of D&D are good and which ones are bad will be imprisoned in a gulag.
There are actual human beings who do this?
It's crazy that so many people do, because I never played an edition of D&D that I disliked. I happen to like 4th the best, but I'll play any edition, even an old fashioned game of 2nd edition (despite hating THAC0).
You fuck wit' Die Antwoord, you fuck wit' da army.
I started wayyyyy back in the days of what would later(!) be called "First Edition", and so I have a strong sentimental attachment. But when Gary passed, and I decided to run a memorial game with my friends, I found it a bit of a struggle to go back to those rules and try to run everything out of the book. So much forgotten, or added on later, and so much that was... let's say "a product of its time".
Lots of interesting (to me, anyway) tidbits in today's Jerry newspost.
Gavin came up with AirDND at lunch, and it was too good to leave on the table.
Is there somebody named Gavin who works at PA I don't know have forgotten? Or is this the usual altering of Gabe's name (Glorb, etc.) and it inadvertently wrapped back around to being another real name?
Utilizing long-forgetten alchemical techniques, including those we have transmuted this notion into a comic strip.
Am I reading this wrong is or there a Tychopo here? What does "including those" refer to? Long-forgotten alchemical techniques, including... which ones?
They’ll have a much easier time when they use this engine for Cyberpunk 2077, no doubt; in the grim darkness of the far future, nobody can afford decorative plants.
When I played D&D in the 90's we used a system that incorporated 1st edition and the proficiency's from 2nd. It worked for us. I'm sure if we'd played longer we would have tweaked it. People arguing over which edition is 'best' are silly.
I could see arguing over D&D versions as a past time, but... y'know... just play what you like I guess instead of telling other people what they should like instead? I'm sure it's sacrilege, but I think there's so many different (sometimes even better) systems than D&D that I say just adapt whatever the heck you want to play to whatever system you want to play it on and have at it.

I wonder what the street value is for three bags of chips, three rules books and fifty assorted dice (going off my gaming bag)...
Nope. 4E is rad.
Guys, guys.
You've both made good points...
Sidenote. I'm glad we're half a page in and we've already got edition wars and bitch!

Instant nerd drama! Awesome.
It's the single most popular d&d related topic online.
Very meta
No, I think Geth handles throwing people into the gulag.
Hah, it agrees!
Effing perfect.
