Also Nowi talking about Tharja's hair instead of her boobs in the European version. Weird that the US version has more "sexual" content in it than the EU one.
Specifically, from staring at her chest to touching her hair, because it would seem like an overreaction to staring at hair.
People touching your hair does grate on your nerves.
I've been checking that for days hoping there'd be some Kamui and Rinka/Hinoka. Those two and
Severa/Luna and Shara (Not-Tharja)
are the characters I'm most interested in.
The first two because I've liked their badass designs since I first saw them and they just HAVE to have good supports.
Speaking of which, after reading Shara's supports with F-Kamui, I'll definitely be playing a female character in the Nohr campaign, if she's available. God I hope she's available in the Nohr campaign. There's already just too many characters In Hoshido I like as it is!

Shara is locked to Hoshido, and probably the third campaign - you won't have the opportunity to recruit her in Nohr

Damn it, there are too many characters in the Hoshido path I like. This is me pretty much right now :P
Been playing Fire Emblem if's Byakuya route. Up to stage 20, 12 hours in.
Just want to say that I think it's really fucking stupid how
1) What weapons you can buy are limited by your route
2) The main character comes with two unique weapons, one of which can only be used by their unique class (the other is a sword because of course it is)
This REALLY limits your class choices. When creating your character you choose something they're good at which gives you a tiny stat boost and determines the classes you can change to, and I got the magic classes, but I CAN'T EVEN GET ANY SPELLBOOKS ON THIS ROUTE (the magic classes themselves belong to the other route and even say so in their descriptions) which is plain silly. And of course since you're given a unique sword which is also important story-wise you're probably going to end up using a class that uses swords. Eh. From a roleplaying perspective I guess this is pretty appropriate but it's kind of horrid from a gameplay perspective. I guess I could just use the stupid social stuff and buy spellbooks from other players' castles but still.
I like the social aspects but being able to buy the skills of anyone you defeat real cheap coupled with how you get rewards for having people visit your castle and fight you of course resulted in people leaving around parties of one guy with no equipment loaded with all the best skills and everyone visiting them. I preferred having to (and being able to) change your class around to learn skills.
So far, Kakusei's just a way better game in terms of gameplay, story and characterisation. The only thing I've been really liking is the whole castle thing, and even that seems to not be implemented all that well (some of the problems with other stuff unfortunately seem to stem from the castle thing).
Splitting stuff up into three routes seems like a decent enough idea but I can't help but feel that it's making things in the individual routes kind of shallow.
Also who the hell was in charge of the wording on the stage 6 route split because
it boils down to
CHOOSE ONE:
1) Fight for your mother who was just murdered in cold blood in a terrorist attack on a major civilian centre targeting you
2) Fight for the guy who just murdered your mother in cold blood by bombing a town trying to kill you, oh and betray your long-lost siblings who were so happy to be reunited with you after so many years even though their mother just died
wait what
There are of course valid reasons to choose the second option but why would you include that guy as one of them
I can't help but feel that the route split is just handled really badly

Honestly, I like the idea of just being able to buy skills.
Grinding out promotes in Awakening was annoying. Especially once a character reached full xp retardation.

The thing is is they actually fixed that by having your level not be reset when changing classes, and by you getting a skill each level once past the required level for them.
But there's basically no point in doing that because with the social stuff you can just poke some naked guy to death and buy a game-breaking endgame skill for basically nothing.
I don't think it's BAD, and most people will probably appreciate it, but it's silly. (This kind of applies to most of the game though)

That's actually really appealing to me because the less time I have to grind the better. Seriously in Awakening I spent forever maxing levels, stats and skills that by the time I finished I was so mentally drained. I know it's my own fault, but I just can't stop myself. Not maxing out these things just doesn't feel right.
Not resetting the level also means that if you gain too much experience before you have enough seals, you're fucked. I heard something about raising the level-cap, though.
Changing the lunch-conversation to pies might have been someone having a laugh. Sure, people will only fully relate to that specific lunch-model in Japan, but where will people be munching on homemade pies every day while playing?
I think most of the world makes some kind of ready lunch. At least for workplaces and excursions without local foodservice.

Wait, so, all skills are available to anyone? Or just for the avatar?
Also what difficulty settings are there, has Lunatic/Luna+ been changed/improved at all?

Apparently Lunatic is way more balanced this time. I don't know if anyone's beaten it yet to find out if Lunatic+ exists.
Advanced a little further because Internet being out at night means I have lots of time that would otherwise go to FFXIV. Anyway, recruited Gaius but only just barely. The dimwit decided to poke at a Level 14 Chrom paired with Sumia and was left with 2 HP after that brilliant decision. Managed to talk to him though and now I need to find room for him on the team because I find it hilarious how big of a sweet tooth he has.
Aside from that, Donnel and Kellam reached A rank support status so maaaaybe I should pair Donnel with someone else now. Sumia I'm building up from scratch because apparently that leads to a good Lucina when paired with Chrom? And I want Lucina in my team. Vaike and Sully are also becoming fast friends, with Sully critting every other attack and Vaike finishing off anything left standing. Sully alone held the entire left hall of the castle in the mission, taking down all comers. When I tried poking the boss to get him low enough to feed to Sumia those two decided to critical him into oblivion.
Buying skills isn't a bad setup. I just miss FE 9/10 where everything was finite, but some skills were available for purchase or transfer in mystery scrolls. It's a worthwhile tactic, but only if the scrolls are a limited resource, otherwise it could just become boring.
I get that the appeal is supposed to be to mimic other RPGs where you can build a godly endgame team with enough time investment, but you could do that in FE 9/10 as well, only it meant you were clever with EXP distribution and fought smart and that was how you got everyone to be that strong.

Well...there is a mode where resources are finite.
Before release there were already people complaining about the game being split up into multiple parts and other people claimed it wouldn't be a problem because the story is contained and completed in each route.
It's now pretty apparent that that's utter bullshit.

Also its optional.
The in-game route descriptions say that Byakuya lets you grind while Anya doesn't and suggests they're supposed to be played in that order. There's no option to disable free battles and such in the Byakuya route, not that there's anything stopping you from just not doing them.
Fire Emblem Amie stuff is, quite frankly, weird and off-putting so I won't mourn if NoA axes it.
Also the gay pairings really feels like IS putting as little effort as they can to avoid the same criticism as Awakening. I'm waiting to get a better explanation from NoA on what we're recieving before getting all bitter about it, but Fates has been turning me off.

so, with Zero being a father of a child and the potential S-rank support with male avatar, what happens if you S-Rank with Zero? Do you just not get access to either Kanna or Eponine? Or is wizardry involved.

On the same difficulty settings, the Byakuya route is "clear the entire game on autobattle" easy while the Anya route is plain fucking unfair, a slog, and at times just plain not fun to play. Also the whole three route thing with no carryover means raising characters feels like it's going to be pointless in the end (though you can save five characters each time you clear the game to be used as horrendously expensive guest summons or skill stores for the corresponding characters in future playthroughs)

I trust Nintendo over the censor-happy 8-4 any day.

The Nier and Drakengard 3 localization team.
Censor happy.
Over Nintendo. I... shouldn't have to go to the records for this, should I? Do I have to get out the records? They're... extensive.
Why I fear the ocean.
They're not especially censor-happy when you just look at the stuff they translate and how
