because they're just such religious people trying to do the right thing and they're being persecuted for their beliefs by these atheists and enemies of Christianity that don't understand that that God's already forgiven him so like, we're fucking cool now, ok, everything's cool

Its made a bit worse by the fact that the guy was part of a political group that literally claims homosexuals are child molesters

Is it just the US Red Cross that needs Ripley'd, or is the whole Red Cross terrible?

    There isn't a huge difference.

I am guess you read the pro publica piece?

The Red Cross is basically a multinational organization that works on disaster relief. With that they are really good.

They are not a development organization and never have been. The fact they tried to was more because they had more money than they ever needed and was earmarked for Haiti and such so they went in and made ever mistake possible when doing development because they have never done development.

They are still good at getting blankets, setting up emergency camps and getting food to folks who are hit by an earthquake, flood or other disaster. Not good for anything else because they don't have the organizational skills or focus for that.

Damn that is a pretty broad definition of sexual assault.

I'm just saying I've grabbed some ass, some of it less than wanted. I went to some crazy parties.

To be fair, nobody I was related too.

how is this a broad definition of sexual assault

he fondled his sisters' breasts and vaginal areas while they were sleeping without their consent (and possibly their knowledge, at least in the beginning)? That is like, the quintessential definition of sexual assault?

I think there is a misconception brought on by the word "assault" in that people think it has to mean physical harm/battery. This is very untrue.

yeah but was he punching them while fondling them

i mean it has the word assault right in the title hakkes

His father waited a year before reporting it to the police, and when he did it was to a police officer friend who didn't do anything (who was later charged with child pornography) and his "punishment" was "counseling" with a construction worker friend who made him build houses for a couple months. It's absolutely terrible.

Yeah, people think of battery when they hear assault.

It's why I use the word abuse, which is less ambiguous at least in this context.

Hur hur hur you have to do work now!

As if making people annoyed that they can't check their email is going to make them more willing to do work.

I've seen a lot of places that block personal email websites.

    It's pretty rediculous.

I take the new age philosophy of "if your work gets done I don't give a fuck what you're doing."

The happier you are, the more likely you are not to go look for employment elsewhere, and less turnover is good because I don't spend a ton of my time training or making usernames or whatever. That means more time to do my work.

I don't get why people treat work like a fucking concentration camp.

The infosec guys I know claim that it's not about productivity, but about keeping viruses/malware /etc out and sensitivie files in. Basically, they know how well their internal email filter/capture works, but that all gets circumvented when someone logs into personal email. Of course, I've also known some senior managers who get upset that my teams work collaboratively on a lot of projects and aren't just silent worker drones, so petty reasonongs are just as likely imo.
