Crystal did pretty great with obviously canned animations in the Tomb Raider reboot so it's pretty exciting to see them working with some beefier tech
I am finding it increasingly hilarious that Platinum is basically getting people running to them screaming "PLEASE MAKE OUR GAME FOR US!"
There was a point where I wasn't sure they'd last much longer, so I'm really happy for them. And if it were 10 years ago, I doubt it would've happened either, but their cult following has grown fairly strong and publishers have recognised both it and how amazing they are at gameplay design.

That announcement literally made me go "I don't even care anymore, this is better" about the FF7 Remake announcement.
Nier 2 by Platnum + Nier Director + Nier Composer is something I never even imagined would happen in a million years and I am shaking and crying and I don't even know what to do anymore.
Well, that was Nintendo's showing. Interesting games, nothing to wow about or surprising. Pretty much everything in there we knew or suspected, and the Chibi metroid is kinda odd, but I suppose they need to keep the brand alive somehow after the absolutely fucking ASININE last game.
Now where is the Square conference being streamed?

They already announced it a few months ago. They're not bothering with the PS3 version, so it's PS4 exclusive. I think that was just a quick wrap-up of what other games they're not going to cover during the conference, namely the FFXIV expansion and DQ Heroes.

On the other, nearly everything they're doing is making everyone else's games, which is a slight bummer. Ah well, gotta do what you gotta do to survive this crazy new world, I guess.
