I wonder how much if it is the appeal of quite nearly every single yokai being a pun that only really works in Japanese. I'm seeing some interesting localization options that try to mimic it in English, but... ehh...
I've never played a Hitman game before, but that looked pretty damn cool
Hitman games are generally pretty good, provided you try to play them as they are meant to be played. You can sneak around and do a lot of cool stuff, but they can be broken because you can also just go in guns blazing in a lot of them.
