Ebay Questions

So two weeks agoish I got an email from eBay offering a deal where if you listed video games to sell by date xxx and it sold by date xxx eBay would match your final sale amounts in a coupon up to $100. So I listed some stuff and amazingly most of it sold. Now the fun part.

The first item sold and I got an email the next day from the seller asking to cancel. Of course, this is after the promotional listing cutoff, so it meant I'd be re-listing it after the promo ended, thus losing not only their $30, but the $30 in matching ebay money.

Then, another of my buyers despite my followup explaining I need payment by date X decided not to pay in time to make the cut off for "completed sale" meaning I'm out another $30 and will again have to relist.

Do I have any options here? I've tried calling eBay but their customer service was pretty terrible and had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and just said "callback once it resells" on the first situation. Does anyone have a real contact for eBay that isn't a super basic outsourced call center?

Unfortunately eBay's whole process is skewed pretty hard to the buyer, you've basically just got to relist and wave bye-bye to $60 in promotional coupon.

Only assistance I can offer is to say, you got off easy, use it as a learning experience and never use eBay again.

I think I'll wait for the coupon to hit for the lower amount and then call them and try to raise a little heck. I was going to list some more stuff this weekend, now I'm really unsure given this. It's easy to throw stones at ebay but the alternatives to get rid of stuff is pretty much yard sale or craigslist.
