SkyRush put up the SWTOR: URC # 3 Highlight video.
The "Ultimate Regstar Championship" (URC) is a community organized 1v1 PvP tournament on the Red Eclips server (English PvE server).
It start with one tournament for stealth classes and one non-stealth.
Number one in each meet, to settle who's the best of them all.
Number 2 in each fight it out for spots 3 and 4.
(Anyone can contribute credits and items for rewards.)
Weird thing about the video (IMO) is that it starts of by showing you the end results. (No audio, though.)
So if you don't want to know who won, either close your eyes until the audio returns 40 sec later, or jump to 0:00:40.
I feel like I need to include a warning,
I've heard the Welsh guy use "SJW" as an insult (with a straight face), and both commentators refer to one of the operative's attacks as "AIDS injection". Honestly don't remember if retardation is discussed, but would be surprised if it wasn't.
What I'm trying to say is, don't expect these guys to be PC or even respectful. If that's a deal-breaker, might as well skip this.
It isn't required viewing.
Stat Changes All classes now use the same main stat: Mastery. Existing items with Aim, Cunning, Strength, and Willpower had these stats replaced with Mastery. Endurance is unaffected. Datacrons that provide a main stat other than Endurance have been updated to provide Mastery. Critical Rating has been rolled into Surge Rating. The new stat is named Critical Rating, and is now a tertiary stat (it's on enhancements instead of mods). Surge Rating no longer exists in the game.
I'm not surprised, since some of the class changes made it look to me like they were trying to get all roles to play more like each other. (i.e. the funneling continues.)
And with one less stat that people can tune, all the easier to balance.
Material Grade Crunch
With 4.0 there are currently no new crew skill-acquired crafting materials. New recipes will use existing crew skill-acquired materials. Current crafting materials have had their item grade / level range updated.
[...] Obsolete Materials
The following materials have beeen converted to Obsolete Materials. They have no use, and can be sold to a vendor.
[...] Crafting Components Most crafting recipes have been updated to require pre-crafted components rather than raw materials. These crafted components require 2x each of the two gathering materials for their item grade and 2x of the vendor supplement for the item grade. War Supplies still require raw materials for crafting.
[...] Exotic Crafting Material Sources
Personal Conquest Goal - Strategic Resource Matrix
Hard Mode Flashpoints - Exotic Isotope Stabilizer
New/Changed Modifications
Advanced Resistive Armoring 43 - Crafted by Armormech
Advanced Versatile Armoring 43 - Crafted by Synthweaving

Jeeeeez. Those are some major changes. I'll be curious what the end version ends up being.
Seriously. I was just thinking last night "I would love to swap companions more but fuck keeping 5 different gear sets updated while leveling."
I'm sure some people will hate it to no end, because omg reasons and/or dumbing down the game or something, but I've yet to see a willpower-based scoundrel.
As longs as Bioware doesn't do anything crazy like try to separate player gear and companion gear (like they have in the past), or try to limit the use of Bound to Legacy gear for ... 'reasons', I see nothing but great things coming from this.
I'm sure some people will hate it to no end, because omg reasons and/or dumbing down the game or something
Anyone who hates the crafting mats crunch is probably insane. It looks pretty sensible and will go a long way to un-fucking the GTN.
That being said, the new 2 + 2 + 2 intermediate materials are a bit weird. I'm not sure what purpose they serve. I guess that they make companion crafting crit bonuses even more important? Unless they change how the bonuses work, crafting crit will give you both a chance to get free mats and a chance to get a free augment slot. That's way better than an efficiency bonus, which only affects time to craft.

The crunch is nice. The making of many materials into cheap grey vendor fodder, instead of converting them into comparable same-grade materials, not so much. It's early, so maybe that'll change, but it matches what they've done in the past.
The intermediary materials are probably just intended to add complexity, make the crafting process feel a bit more involved. Or maybe it's meant to assist in leveling up crafting, assembling parts with the materials in then assembling the parts, so that it's more potential skill ups per produced item. Or it could just be meant to make the subscription bonus of queuing up crafting orders more appealing. I just hope the overall material cost of making items doesn't balloon up too much; that Defiant Jacket recipe seemed to require quite a bunch of the Hard Mode Flashpoint material.
do the same professions make the intermediary mats as make the finished stuff? It sounded like it was just an attempt to add some middleman steps, but if it's all done by the same people it seems pointless
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
did they ever implement a way to go back and do story missions that you already completed? I'd like to have a recording of my inq doing the speech at the end of corellia, but obviously can't go back (and don't really wanna level an identical one just for that)
also, did starfighter ever turn into anything interesting, or is it still basically a little minigame?

you can't go back to do previous missions. I don't think that was ever in the design.
there are space missions, which is still just a mini-game of you flying through a map on rails to take out objectives. Then there is Galactic Starfighter which, while not as big as I'm sure bioware wanted it to be, is pretty fun. It'll take time to level your ship(s) and get the appropriate upgrades, but there are plenty guides for all of that.

I'm sure they've touched on this, and I think one hurdle mentioned was the gear you were wearing.
(Other games get around this by having you wear the gear you currently have equipped when re-watching the scene.)
It's one of these things where I'm sure they know that many people want this feature but, a) are there enough to warrant the resources required to get it working properly, and b) is there a way to monetize it without being too dickish about?
(I think currently the answers are No, and Sorta.)
It's not guaranteed that it'll make it in, but a community manager has confirmed that
they are trying to make Datacron collection Legacy-wide. Combined with the main stat change, that'll make collecting them seem a fair bit more worthwhile.
I actually logged in to mess around a little bit, it was nice to see that they have continued to add increasingly ridiculous weapons
I saw that they added a new 'healing' shot rather than just letting rapid shot be both though? whyyyy
I saw last night that they added increasingly ridiculous mounts too, like rancors all armored up, a engine with a seat on the front, and a literal scout walker which sadly requires an exalted faction ranking to use which is the most gigantic cocktease come on Bioware.
And Togruta race unlock is about as expensive in credits as I expected.

Actually, the walker was first introduced as part of a cartel pack, so buying it for coin only would cost you millions. Them putting it as part of a reputation grind is actually pretty cool of them.
There's also a chance for it to drop during one of the new flashpoints.

I've seen the walker drop from 2 of the flashpoints so far. The one with the walker at the end, and the assault on Tython. It may just be rarer for it to drop elsewhere.
Sorry, should have clarified that it was in reference to med shot.
There are some abilities I know I should have on my bars somewhere, but I just can't be bothered because there are SO MANY FUCKING SKILLS I need to have on there to begin with.
was there some reason they did that? It seems super inconvenient, and using it to kill weak mobs or heal was one of the more elegant things about BH/trooper

I assume so that non-healing spec commandos / mercenaries could use it. And I suppose so that people could use it on themselves while having an enemy targeted, like most other healing abilities.
I've no idea what the official reasoning was, but the practical result seemed to be that damage-spec members of the advanced class gained a minor amount of accessible self healing that they could perform on the move. Perhaps since damage scoundrels had their instant HoT and a short cast heal, and damage sages had force armor and rejuvenate, someone thought that damage commandos needed a bit more healing utility.

I've got to say, the Galactic Legends pack was great. Picked up a bunch of KOTOR outfits for a couple hundred K apiece.

Yeah, it's a decent filler, but I'm sad, because i pulled ALOT and didn't get a Revan ANYTHING. No Reborn, no normal, no Champion set.
But I DID pull 5(FIVE) Kreia sets.
Those will be worth a bit down the road!
Wait 6 months and they'll probably be worth a mil or two apiece. Or more...
Yeah, I traded one to complete a set that I wanted, giving one to my Consular because yeah I'm gonna USE it, and the other three will just sit there and let that value stack up.
The Galactic Legends Pack is for a FULL set, right? Otherwise it's a little pricey and random. Is it still around, cause I just got my coin and might get that instead of unlocking Togruda. Full armor set packs are always up for a very limited time.
+1

Yeah, it's a full set. Unfortunately, it went down already (yesterday?).
But lots of the sets are for sale on GTN now at a significant discount from the usual price.
I recently came back to the game, haven't played since a month or so after launch. It seems I have a good amount ~3600ish cartel coins, is there a good way to turn that into credits? What kind of exchange rate am I looking at?

You can buy unlocks on the cartel market, then sell them on the GTN.
The exchange rate is usually 100 cartel = 100,000 credits (approximately).
But I would check the GTN before deciding what to buy.
For example, Togruta were very much over average exchange rate when they first came out, then they bottomed out and I think even overcorrected to be temporarily lower than the regular rate (because of people just trying to get rid of the unlock they bought to get quick cash). By now it's probably evened out to the regular exchange rate, but as I said it's best to check first.
So I was cruising the GTN, threw up a random search for Revan stuff.
SOMEONE ACCIDENTALLY LISTED THE REVANITE CHAMPION SET FOR 100K.
AND I BOUGHTS IT.
I EVEN HAD TO SWITCH TO A CHARACTER THAT HAD THE MONEY
BUT HOLY SHIT. The super rare set that was only available for a limited time in a one time special pack. Going for 20 MILLION, right NOW, I BOUGHT FOR 100K
THIS MAKES UP FOR ALL THE BAD PULL LUCK IN RECORD KEEPER AND MY PACKS.
Thanks! I'll probably wait until I have a real need for credits before looking into it. I blew 50-55 in like two hours and now I'm starting the Revan prequel stuff. This is why I came back, so I'm excited to see the story!

A hard DS Sith Warrior and a Light-Side Jedi Consular.
I'm particularly happy with the Sith Warrior though. I always used either body type 2 for my female characters, and occasionally body type 4.
But then it hit me that a Cyborg badass Sith lady Body type 3 is PERFECT. Super intimidating and large while not being swoledudebro or a super-model.
