RPG's with multiple systems tend to take a bit to fully understand, much less unlock sometimes. Some of them won't allow you access to them until story progression is made to a certain point even when it's pretty critical to the game as a whole.
I don't really have a set time for when I'll decide if a game is good or not. I just use the idea of whether or not I want to keep playing it the next day. Some games I'll put ten hours in, decide I don't want to play more the next day, and that's it the game is done.
Today I dumped all the elemental into fire, instead of spreading even across all. Fire does 113k, non fire does 13k. Make really short work of fire-weak monsters.

Taking a long time to understand isn't my issue. Taking a long time to be fun is. I don't have a complete grasp of how best to play Massive Chalice, but I'm having a good time even when I'm failing. I have fun in Invisible Inc even when I'm failing. What I've played of Souls games aren't fun to me. Telling me that the fun comes later doesn't make me want to suffer through the not fun when I could just boot something else up and have fun immediately.
@Spoit is actually a bad person, for now wanting to see George Miller direct a post-apocalyptic transformers film in the Australian Outback, or something. Also, for gifting things. Specifically, Convoy!
Uhhh... @destroyah87 just class-bombed me. He launched ICBMs. Jesus. Thanks for Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Saints Row IV, and Defense Gird 2. In the words of one of my friends, "Great gobs of gooseshit!"
And this was amazing. Destroyah is amazing. He's also dangerous and should probably be gift-bombed into the dark ages... Just to be safe.

He tends to retaliate though. Sometimes I think about making an alt account like Nobody uses just to fling something safely.
At some point today, @Jeix declared war with a reference to a dark time in my past. Those are fighting words, sir, and there will be a reckoning! Pistols at dawn?

definitely understandable
Dark Souls contrasts well with Hotline Miami in that way, for me
both games were really difficult and can be annoying at first, but with Hotline I was hooked from the get go (the catchy music probably helped)
I know it's the smallest of the games you were gifted @chasm, but don't ignore Defense Grid 2. The original Defense Grid is the best TD I've ever played, and the second is almost as good.
Do not start down this road. Just imagine the consequences for Shade, when he gets literally dowsed in kittens every birthday. Or Isy, sending Bengal tigers to random people.
That sort of thing will get you arrested. Isy can't be encouraged to engage in endangered animal trading.

Every game on my phone (any phone I've owned, really) has been a tower defense game. Trust me, it won't be neglected.

But if not from the generosity of the Steam Thread where will I manage to obtain an adorable French Bulldog for my wife? Won't somebody think of the poor, neglected wives of the world and their desire for overpriced French dogs?

@Antoshka giftbombed me with Hatred because of things @mts said in chat. While I encourage you to bomb Antoshka I would be thoroughly pleased for mts to be destroyed with extreme haughty professor prejudice.

I finally got all the eternity splinters I needed for doom! Then got an extra costume box because he was the final hero I needed!
Then got Pirate Deadpool costume!
Fuck. Now theres a chance I'm going to have to cosmic deadpool and his stupid costume if our steam-thread charity reaches the incentive goal.
We need to get that donation pool up to $5500 because now we can officially make @CorriganX cosmic Deadpool with the Pirate costume and sound on! Come on, I believe!
All you people saying that today's sales aren't great must already have Project Zomboid and The Long Dark, then? Because both games are fantastic, even if they are early access, and they are both dailies.

I guess that's a difference between you and me. Like, in Massive Chalice I tried the tutorial and my reaction was "with how boring that tutorial was, this thing is going to take forever for this to actually become fun, isn't it" so I never actually bought it for myself, while with Dark Souls the first I was hooked the second I was out of the tutorial and I needed to get myself a copy minutes after starting trying it.
Granted, I consider Monster Hunter games to be some of the best things to have come out of the video game market, so my opinion on methodical third person action games is inherently positive :P.
thanks to @yoshua for gifting me massive chalice after hearing my GF was preggers and i was freaking out, so that i can continue to freak out and constantly be reminded of it while tinkering with eugenics in the game! (it actually does seem like a pretty cool game so far though.
@cardboard delusions has done some learning from the wishlistnomancer, and sent keys for Spy Chameleon,Duke Nukem - Manhatten Project (Nostalgia Squee Here), and Mount And Blade - which I'm certain I've played, yet did not exist in my library. I'm currently experiencing a weird feeling of displacement, since a game I was sure I had on Steam seems to not be in the Library, which is the exact opposite of what has been the case since first talking to you crazy people half a decade ago.

I know that the majority of you already have Brothers, but if you don't, you should pick it up! It's one of my absolute favorite games on Steam. It's short, but it has a great story and sense of adventure. There's basically no dialogue, but you can still really see the characters' personalities, too. And it has feels. (You do need to play it with a controller though.) $1.49 is an absolute steal.

I played on 360 in (I think) a single sitting. It was fantastic. Definitely felt like playing a fairy tale.
How did the D4 release end up being? Haven't heard anyone mention actually playing it yet. Curious if it was borked like the Deadly Premonition release or if it actually came out ok this time.
Also that Dead Rising Franchise pack costs more than the sum of its parts.
