So, I went away to my happy sporting event, after having some nice talks with people. And I was safe, because the game they were talking about was region locked by some bizarre account system. I know this, because it was refunded in the dale for precisely this reason.
And now it turns out you can gift steam wallet money. And there was a traitor, in my own hemisphere.

Thanks to Viking, for Final Fantasy XIV, where I must now check out the tail animations, once it finishes downloading. I suspect the other, "Pixelated Pixie" is behind this breakdown of trans-tasman peace.
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about at all. None. Consequently, this was just plain uncalled-for:
And do you really want to make this all international and stuff? That shit gets ugly fast.
Awesome, thank you! Hopefully I will get some time to try it out tonight. Some heavy rain passed through and the water came in through the walls. Talk about uninvited guests x_x

Fantastic. I don't remember my GFWL password and when I select 'Forgot Password?' and prompts me that it's going to open a new window, it crashes. Such a piece of shit. Let me Bulletstorm goddamnit! This is probably why I never got around to playing it in the first place
Thanks again, Zavian! I gave it a go and found very fun. Some interesting design choices and power-ups.
Boss health bar is built "into" the level, so if you move too far down, you won't be able to see it.
Going up means you choose the "hard" level this go-around (you can choose again after the boss). I guess it's denoted by the skull, but my first two was something like "Dungeon" and "Cellar" and I took the latter to mean something about a basement

Some massive silly goose in the webcomic spoiled the entire ending resolution of Freak Angels as I was still working my way through the second or third chapter. Then someone else spoiled the twist of that anime.....gangantua....Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet just last week.
Fuck geese that ruin other people's fun by recklessly flapping their toothed tongues.
Convoy is like a car with poor alignment. Its not the best thing, and you can't take hands off the wheel, but it gets the job done when it needs to. Ramming people out of the path of your convoy so they don't hit it with their wreck when they die, buying abilities for your convoy, and experimenting with positioning and weapons is fun. Overall, it feels like FTL light, information needs to be conveyed better and I have no idea what setting it was that I turned off but once I did, I actually had a fucking clue what was going on.
Good Idea: Finding an A.I.D. unit, slapping it on your highest ranked vehicle, and upgrading that MoFo like Immortal Joe was steering it himself
Bad Idea: Letting that treaded beast you stole from the enemy drive right into an electrical tower.
Horrible Idea: Disabling that repeating transmission, you're a monster.

I'm possibly missing the function or area, but is there a list you can view that updates when games come off early access and go live?

@Berylline That was a good stream. I don't have a twitch account so I couldn't post, but I managed to watch most of it I think. Portal 2 coop looks a lot harder than the single player :P
That was fun! My strongest games were definitely One Way Heroics (which I'd played very, very briefly before - like, got stuck on a wall in the starting castle briefly), and Trackmania. For Trackmania, I'd played the muscle car version before (Trackmania: Canyon), so it was mostly a matter of seeing how the car performed a little differently. Silver medal on the first run's not too shabby.* Hope my nonstandard screenshot counts.
Bulletstorm was hard at first because the game kept telling me to sprint using LShift. The actual keybinding is spacebar. I am waaaaay out of practice in Bejeweled, and I haven't actually played pinball in something like 20 years until this contest.
* Okay, it was actually my second** run, though my first complete run, because partway through the first run, I accidentally hit the right bumper on my controller. This is, apparently, bound to "Reset the run." I was beating the gold guy at the time, too! (Though, honestly, he was probably about to pass me near the last sharp turn.)
** Okay, I actually accidentally hit that button a lot, right at the first big turn. I usually bind brakes to it, so I don't have to move my thumb off the accelerator too much when I need to do a drift turn, and muscle memory is hard to erase. I kinda swore at the screen a bit, there. Not sure why I didn't just rebind the damn thing. But, yeah - I basically completed the course ~twice, but played through the first 100m about a dozen times.
I just "finished" The Secret World again. That was a good Tokyo expansion. I liked the way they incorporate MMO mechanics into their storyline, like the callback to the tutorial
Sarah, the character who you used when you relived her memories of the subway to teach you how to fight, is still alive. She is alive and forced to re-experience the tutorial every time a new TSW character is created.
Or the fight you have with other Bee-powered "player character" NPCs
who respawn and charge back into battle, because you can't stop a Bee agent by just killing them.
But my favourite part is their handling of the long delay between Issue 8 (added repeatable VR training scenarios) and Issue 9 (actually getting to Tokyo).
The VR training process has been compromised by the Phoenicians, and the whole thing is red tape to stop you getting to Tokyo. The bad guys were plotting to delay the expansion.
Steam Badger A greasemonkey script for better gifting and peering
Convoy on easy down, that final boss was.....interesting, poorly timed clicking brought me down to one vehicle, who was continually driving in circles, thankful for high level shields and armor, while my convoy's two weapons (thank god I brought two) helped a little.
That was.....some old school combat shit, with squad based strategy. Like something from the NES days had a baby with XCOM....I liked it.
I was about to clear convoy from my hard drive.....It has workshop content. Soundpacks and a few models so far. This may be troublesome in the future.
So, a free Portal 2 mod got released, Portal Stories: Mel. It's a free stand-alone game, but you need to at least own Portal 2 to play it. http://store.steampowered.com/app/317400/
I'll let you know how it is after it finishes downloading.
Just finished this.
Man was this thing hard. In a good way though; I really had to wrack my brain to think of every single thing I could accomplish with the tools at hand. Got stuck in quite a few spots (though occasionally it's because I missed something) but I was able to beat every single one without cheating. It's one of the few games I've played recent where I'd get stuck, take a break, and then 15 minutes later get excited to go back in and try to figure out the puzzle again!
The story was surpisingly good for a mod; though the voice acting was a little off in spots. Overall, the presentation was near Valve-level in some areas, though ultimately it has some rough edges. I occasionally got stuck on scenery. For a free mod, it is SUPER high quality; one of the better ones I've played. If you liked Portal or Portal 2 and want a challenge, I totally recommend this.
Now that the sale stuff has blown over and the thread has slowed back down and it won't get washed away in the current of generosity that flows through this thread, I want to make a post to thank my perennial favorite human being @Berylline for hooking me up with Hexells Infinite, Dirt Rally, and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood a few days ago.
She knows my love for driving cars on dirt roads, and she knew my anguish when I wasn't able to grab a copy of The Old Blood on the day of the encore sale because that day essentially consisted of nothing more than an awful/long shift at work and immediate sleep when I got home, and she knows that puzzle games might as well be a ditch with the way I dig them.
Thank you Bery, you're the best. Now sleep off that hangover!

Eh, I'm touchy about my moving and shooting in first person shooters. I'd by lying if I said I didn't have fun with Borderlands at one time. That initial playthrough with Lilith was a blast. Attempts at subsequent plays suffered big time until I reached a point where I had a difficult time remembering what I ever enjoyed about the game. The magic was definitely gone.
