Man, I really want to make a fighting game now. Brainstorming new characters and mechanics is pretty fun. The basic idea I have is simple inputs with lots of tools and decision-making, you can take risks if you want but your opponent can't force you to gamble with vortexes and such, and short combos with a focus on footsies where you try to force your opponent to make mistakes. Unfortunately fighting games are like the worst genre for a single person or small team to take on.
Really looking forward to SF5, with no weird zig-zag inputs and more forgiving timing it sounds like just the game for me.
[edit] Though what I really need to do is to take these games that I've spent like $100 on and friggin play them online. The training room is nice and cozy but I gotta go out there and get my ass kicked!
....or anyone else for that matter? With sfv coming up I'll be needing a ps4 stick.
I have it. It's a pretty good stick! I replaced the Hayabusa with a sanwa lever and octo-gate though (first time using octo for me), but I did play with the Hayabusa a bit, and it's pretty good!
Buttons, though, are a bit muddy. I didn't like the Kuro buttons at all.
Marn commentating at SEAM is like someone sneezing all over a fancy feast. It's like someone taking a dump in the pool during a pool party. Someone threw up on the amusement ride seats. I'm at a concert but this one guy keeps coughing directly into my mouth

How hard was it to replace parts? I was worried about the hyabusa. Is it that much worse than the sanwa?
It was actually easier than I thought it would be. It didn't take me too long to do it.
The hayabusa stick is great if you want to stick to a square gate. The only reason I switched it out is because I wanted to give octo a shot (and you can't do octo on a hayabusa).

So I'm going to buy Ultra Street Fighter IV for the PS3 to get me ready for SFV coming out next year. Is the community still going strong or is it kind of a ghost town now?

I do love that V-Trigger though.

Adon's jaguar kicks plus fireballs.
Either way, SFV is looking nice.
Still haven't seen a character who I'm interested in but I'm sure we probably have around 20 reveals left.

Think I'll get it then. Don't really feel like fooling with the ps4 pad just to plug in a ps3 stick.
