I don't know why they bother with all those powers when all I'm going to do is carry my dead lover's tortured heart around and devour people with demon rats.
Also, did they bring kicking back? Messiah was such an amazing game.
The mighty boot was so good in that game.
Now I'm imagining a Dishonored where you can grab a guy, teleport up to a roof, and then kick him off of it.
Now you're thinking with dishonor!
I pre-ordered D2, because I live on the razors edge. May need to give the first another run through on my new laptop.
My brother pre-ordered this game for me for my birthday.
I'm really excited to re-enter the universe of Corvo and the outsider. Can't say im super pleased that Delilah will be returning though. She's very much on my "i'd rather you died all the way" list.

She's that terrible intersection of "no redeeming qualities or interesting personality facets" and "refuses to fucking die" that made Kai Leng so annoying.
I liked Delilah. She was an otherwise unknown threat that Daud uncovers and stops her evil plan. In a world with the Outsider and characters like Granny Rags she fits right in.
When Kai Leng showed up out of nowhere (and no, none of this "if you read the books" crap) it was the last damn straw for Mass Effect 3. I've never gone back to beat that game.

I don't understand how this fits with the actual game. Kai-Leng has literal plot armor that prevents him from dying, despite me having a weapon powerful enough to kill him in one shot easily. Delilah has the same ability to survive that's already been demonstrated in the game already by a previous, non-DLC character. It's not like she invents some new plot contrivance there and besides, the game assumes Daud did things in the specific low chaos ending to that.
Which is unbelievably god damned satisfying.
Edit: Also, it's worth noting, at no point does Delilah eat Daud's cereal.

Goddamn you can tell in some of their walkthroughs that they took notes from some of those "kill compilations" that people did for Dishonored on youtube. Everything's so slick and fluid looking now.
I wonder if you used Domino on three people and just let them go on with their lives, if one of them just like, got super into some shitty romance novel or something then everyone else would feel vaguely shitty for no discernible reason. I'd be such a dick if I were Emily.

I would be 100% certain they actually found and got those people in to do those for Dishonored 2.
I'm tempted to go back and play the original again, especially I never finished the DLC but I don't want to burn out on Dishonored before the sequel comes out.
(Also the fact that the PS4 version doesn't hit 60fps makes me far less inclined to pick it up.)

Yes, and one of them is called Volound.

On the subject of voice acting, I'm excited to hear what Sam Rockwell does with his character. He is typically such a great actor to watch, and I hope he really gives it a go. I was pleased with most of the celebrity voices in Dishonored so hopefully it stays good.
Also saw Emily is voiced by a character from "The Last Man on Earth" so I hope she does a different voice or I'll be thinking of her character and laughing the whole time.
I reinstalled Dishonored since I never played any of the DLC, just started Knife of Dunwall, it's really fucking good!
Especially since I played Dishonored mostly ghost, and it feels good to play a character with a powerset that encourages you to go crazy psycho murderer.

I'm playing through the whole game again right now! I did a stealthy run but fully murderous, last time, and got the chaos ending. I didn't like the way they implemented chaos, but on the other hand there needs to be a penalty for the use of all your powers to murder indiscriminately and making the game fairly easy because of it. It's just a shame that creative murder is the most fun way to play!
This time I'm opting for non lethal as much as possible, with no reloads unless something bugs out or I accidentally blink in front of a walker instead of freezing time or something. The puzzle solving approach is pretty fun.
I might replay the tower level as a full frontal assault and see if you get some new events or dialog.
Looking forward to the DLC, I've heard good things.
I'm pretty close to preordering this, given how much I loved the original, how much the DLC managed to improve on what was already a great game, the fact that I have a fancy upgraded computer and want to give it stuff to chew on, plus the cherry on top is that they hired Cara Ellison to do a bit of the writing for the game and she's neato. On the other hand, preordering is for dopes, so maybe I'll just wait until it comes out just in case it's a sad broken followup. Either way, my anticipation is definitely building!
Denuvo requires an online connection and phones homes occasionally. There is some concern with what happened years down the road and the servers are taken down. Some people don't care and from what I understand about Denuvo it's not root kit level of intrusions. Still not great if you care about having control over your own computer.

Yea this is definitely one of those "has no meaning to me" sorta things so yay!
DRM bums me out because it's just another thing pushing me away from PC gaming.
Probably not the end of the world for most people, but I rely on my computer to get work done and gunking it up with questionable borderline malware DRM is not going to work for me.
I'm personally going PS4, hopefully the port is solid.

As long as you don't attempt to kill everyone in a level, you have a pretty generous threshold for staying in low chaos. I think it's something like a quarter of the total people in a level killed to bump up the chaos level from low. Given that time stop + sleeping darts to the face can get you out of a lot of surprise bungled attempts at stealth there aren't too many times you need to stab your way out of a room. Choking people out is still ridiculously slow if you don't luck into finding a Strong Hands bone charm though.
Most recent games have used Denuvo as the drm, Doom, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mad Max, Battlefront, JC3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hitman, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided to name a handful. So if you haven't had a problem with any of those I doubt you'll have any problems with Dishonored 2.

I've not had any problems with those and my computer is regularly offline as well. Did they change something in Dishonored 2?

Cool, I have played a number of those games with no issue so that certainly puts my fears to rest.

So when do they start selling the flipout blade?
Killing better people supposedly contributes more to chaos-rating.
That is exactly how it work now. Good people contribute more to chaos if murdered than if you kill the guy who eats poor people for fun.
"...only mights and maybes."
I.e. do I need to play it again?
