Nothing says awkward being disguised as a bar tender and then a naked bartender walks in and spots you while trying to poison another mans drink.
Just keep calm and say "Sir, we do have a strict dress code."
Anyone want to give some solicited advice?
I'm attempting Master SASO Bangkok, and I'm stuck.
I poisoned Ken easily enough (sacrifice one coin to distract the waiter, poison third dish from the right, done), and spent another coin distracting the guys on the roof so I could sneak across and climb up to the studio.
Now I'm stuck in this bathroom:
I coin-lured one of the guards in and stuffed him in the closet, which seems to have broken their routine of wandering in every minute, which is nice.
But I've got these two tech guys in the middle I need to take out to have a clear shot at Jordan, and if I drop a coin, they both go to check it out, which is new to me.
I have a silenced pistol, a loudened pistol from the guard, a pool ball for throwing at dudes, and a single coin.

Leave the loud pistol on the ground for someone to take to a weapons cache?

Only works for security guys.
Non-security guys just go get a security guy, and there are too many too close to take advantage of the gap.
I eventually solved it, though.
I managed to lure them in the other direction, pool ball the one behind, then run up and choke his friend before he could turn around.
Then to celebrate, I spent a solid hour trying and failing to get the Tuppence a Wish challenge. Did they change the coin physics in this one or something? Lining up rebounds doesn't seem to work.
I've never seen a confirmed way to do it. Half the things I find about it swear you have to bounce 13 coins off the mirror into the water (I've tried, but never managed 13 in a row without some falling short thanks to coin physics), and half swear you have to bounce coins off the mirror to hit the two rocks (and I can't manage those shots at all).
I got it in the first game, so it's wasn't impossible-bugged then. IOI just seem to delight in making one incredibly obscure redacted challenge per level.
edit: Got it. Definitely not by bouncing them off two rocks, as I was aiming all of them to the left. So I guess the 13 coins thing is the way to do it. Or there are two ways to do it. Honestly, they could be a little more upfront about this one.
Decided to pick up Hitman 2, sprung for the season 1 pack too. I'm not what you would call a good hitman, but I do get the job done. I was doing the love letter side thing in the Columbia level, and was having trouble isolating the guy who had the letter. Decided "fuck it" and John Wick'd it in the kitchen with the silenced pistol. Two dead chefs and the guard, and nowhere to hide them all. Just kinda hoped that no one else would go into the kitchen... Didn't get any "bodies found" notification for the rest of the mission, so I guess no one did.
Then I had to knock out a guy for his glue, but a lady saw me. So I had to conk her out too, buuuuut.... I hit the wrong button trying to drag her, and snapped her neck Whoopsie doo!
Also for the New Zealand target, is it random as to whether she uses sugar or honey in her tea? I can't seem to knock out that feat for poisoning the tea. I've tried poisoning the sugar, but nothing. So I poisoned the honey, and still nothing.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
You can easily do that with "noisy distractions"
In that particular case, by turning on the ice machine in the storeroom.
One chef will come to investigate, you knock them out, store them, and then you turn it on again.
Next round, the letter holder comes into an empty room

Yeah, it's random. And it randomises every time, so you can't just wait to see which she says, then reload to poison the right one.
Fortunately, with a little careful manoeuvring, you can hide on the far side of the bar and wait for her to choose, then immediately poison the right one. Sean 2 doesn't see you if you do it right away, even though he totally should.
(Getting out of there is a little hairy, but you should have time to nip around the back and hide in a crate before any guards come around to see you)

You can also wait until he's stepped up to the counter, after which he crouches down and rummages around underneath for a little while while she's on the phone.
Finished the new destinations (with plenty of replays), slowly replaying the Hitman 1 destinations. I have to say though, as someone who doesn't usually go loud in Hitman, it was super fun to go loud in the last destination in Hitman 2. And I went in really loud my last play through.
As in, I don't think the Ark Society exists anymore. Or anyone who knows anything about it. Or their second cousins twice removed.

I'm having surprising trouble understanding what the editions are about. Both looking at a Gamespot guide for it and the Hitman website, it sure does look like the $90 Gold version is the only way to get all of the maps.
I think the Gold Edition comes with the two DLC levels that aren't out yet. That's what I got it for, anyway. You can probably buy them separately later like they did with season 1.

Oh oh, I thought those packs were talking about the currently available levels. That makes more sense, thank you.
Still think I enjoy the highs and novelty of season 1 more, because often in season 2 you're following a set thing because otherwise you're screwed on actually being able to get to the target while they're holed up in their fortress. Scripted stuff felt more involved this time around, so I do wonder how the speed run community will enjoy what feels like a slightly less free-form mission structure.
Maybe I just need to play each level more, and follow more mission stories. I'm sure season 1 had its own rigid moments I eventually learned to ignore once I had a fuller mastery of the level.
Eh, i've done all the new maps on silent assassin suit only without bothering with the opportunities/stories.
Once we know the maps having done them dozens of times, they'll be just as fast and easy as Hitman was.
Personally, i think the episodic nature worked better, now we have half a dozen large maps, instead of just one every month or two.
This leads to overload of content that it's easy to rush through, instead of going nice and slow getting to know every corner of a single map.
Could someone using the Steam version tell me how many GBs Hitman 2 + full legacy pack takes up?
The store page says 60 but I'm assuming that is just the Hitman 2 content.
105,601 MB. So 105.6 GB about.
ouch
I mean, expected, but my poor SSD is only 220 GB
If you're really strapped for space (and your internet is fast enough that you don't mind), the levels are still listed in Steam as separate pieces of DLC, so you could just download the ones you want to play at the moment.
Like, leave out the Hitman 2 levels if you're working through Hitman 1.
A couple of glitches I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing:
Every now and then, when I try to use a sniper rifle, this is what I see when I look through the scope:
It seems to be random each time I reload a save/level.
And occasionally I find people levitating above where they should usually be.
Usually it's just funny, but this guy:
Settled into a rooftop patrol, and was high enough to instantly spot me when I sniped someone from across the map, and took me down with surprisingly accurate fire, considering the distance.
Not a glitch, but a pretty good hidden bit in Santa Fortuna:
Someone needs to add these to the Indiana Jones tombs.
In Hitman the loads of a magnetic drive are no big deal, at least to me. Level load is maybe 10-15s, reloading a save is sub 5s.
And you don't load that much.
Initial boot is long but not sure how much of that is the unstoppable splash screens (WB... why?...)
After doing the Bangkok fountain challenge, it feels like coin bounce physics are tied to framerate. Throwing with hitman vision could get my thrown coins stuck mid-waterfall.
Edit:
It feels good to have the Krugermeier 2-2 available again.

Is there a picture of Mark Faba laying around for the android targeting system? I found the detonator for The VX warhead from The Rock looking bomb in the engineering bay by the blue labcoat dude's office, but that would be too much collateral damage for my style. In addition to the board meeting interactions, Mr. Faba disses the use of fiber wire if you talk to him as blue labcoat dude. It made me wish I brought fiber wire instead of the lethal syringe. Ended up peeling his protection with coins before the target felt the sharp end of a syringe before getting stuffed into a box.
If folks decide to use the freebie opportunity for this, the dialogue is worth it.

The technique of dropping a ton of guns to get all the guards to peel off is pretty good, I'm going to have to remember that one.
One I haven't really explored is the way that non-security guys seem to take dropped briefcases somewhere if they spot them, rather than send a guard to do it for them.
The only time it happened to me I freaked, as it meant that someone was stealing my sniper rifle. I'm going to have to experiment to see where they take them.
