I'm going to be on off and on probably for a good portion of this evening. Been running some IB with everyone else and want to do some more! With that being said, if anyone has time and I am on I would love to do the 32 PoE and maybe the 34 if anyone is feeling up to it. Trying to get LL34 some kinda bad.

Sometimes I shoot dudes right in the head but they take no damage. I used to blame lag but it's just as often guys with green connections as red.
I'm wondering if the refresh rate on my tv is causing problems. It's an older Insignia (the cheap Best Buy LG knockoff brand). But I really don't know how to check that or if it can even by changed.
IB has been a lot more frustrating this time around. I'm not very good but that never bothered me too much. There just seems to be a lot more weird shit this time around.
My biggest frustration with PvP, Iron Banner in general, it's just how inconsistent I can be in it. In PvE, I'm a friggin metronome. In PvP, some games I rock a 1.6-1.7 K/D, other games it's gonna be a 0.6. Like if we get crushed by the other team I get it, but it also happens when we're doing really well.
It's just frustrating to me to not be consistently be getting better.

Check to see if your TV has a display option called Game Mode - this will disable a lot of post-processing effects so that you have less input lag.

I found a multi tool after doing me first poe. How does this gun rate compare to others?
A very good all around gun. The lack of an element hurts it versus something like a Vision of Confluence, but if you like scout rifles it's one of the best feeling/handling ones in the game.
MIDA also depends on your playstyle. Want to stay in the back, pop a few shots off, get an assist then get the fuck out of Dodge? That's your gun. The speed boost is probably its best feature. I do love that thing.

Yeah, MIDA is a lot of fun to wield - I'm not great at getting kills with it, but the speed boost it grants is somewhere between hilarious and super-awesome. Target acquisition on it is solid, too. I just can't kill with it as fast as I can kill with other guns.

The stagger that the MIDA lays on is pretty nice too.
So the lag in Iron Banner is pretty miserable huh.
Always fun to die and then see someone run away, and then they die as your shotgun blast registers.
I know Etheric Light is hyper baller but I don't have the patience to grind in such a lag fest.
We were having a decent run of IB matches sans lag issues tonight, with participants spread across North America.
But yeah, I can't really fault people for not wanting to bother.
EDIT: Tangentially, just checked our IB recaps and noticed we went 8-0 tonight. Best match was probably the nail biter at Rusted Lands, but most fun was probably the mauling at Pantheon.
MIDA is almost certainly my favorite gun in the game
I don't really use it because it isn't as good as Fatebringer, which is nearly as fun, but it's just so enjoyable to use. Precision damage comes as naturally as breathing, and the hidden stagger bonus means you can stunlock any non boss or massive creature in the game super easily. It feels waaaay better than Vision, but yeah, the lack of an element and it being an exotic essentially means I barely ever use it.

So exotic usually have element damage?
Cause I've used this thing in pvp and I went from consistently being dead last in points to consistently being 2nd in points.

I think there is only one exotic primary with an element
They're almost all kinetic, because the devs want elemental primary weapons to be specials rewards from the highest raid tiers, and they are always legendaries
The exotic bit only matters for pve, because in pve you are typically better off using an exotic secondary or heavy weapon than a primary, although this varies wildly depending on what weapons you have at your disposal.
Because of how elements are worthless in PvP, and the general meta of the game types, primaries are your best killing tool, so you want to use the one exotic for that slot, typically. It always depends on your preference, of course.
Just wait for the "Adds Solar/Arc/Void Shield" class items in TTK.

So if most weapons don't have element damage, then how are you suppose to do those weekly nightfall? I pretty much needed to ask a friend to babysit me through this weeks because my main did jackshit and my secondary only have so much ammo.

Most primaries don't. I don't know if any secondaries or heavies are kinetic damage, full stop.
Elemental primaries make the nightfalls easier, when they are a burn, but they're not required. A good elemental sniper rifle or shotgun will go a very long way in a Nightfall with the appropriate burn.
So the perfect roll Ill Will is pretty god damn awesome in IB. I'm going based purely on feel, but damn if I'm not doing better with it than Thorn or Hawkmoon. I'll probably keep it on my Warlock, since she's got HC +reload on her arms. The thing IS pretty slow to reload. But yeah, I'm feeling it. Plus it's nice to have a different exotic equipped.
If you don't have THE weapon for Nightfall, which normally is Gjallarhorn or Ice Breaker since Solar Burn has been a fixture lately, then you can still be a huge help to your team by reviving people using Bladedancer's invisibility, Defender's bubble shield or Sunsinger's self-revive. And with power weapons matching the burn type, two people can easily take a Strike boss down without breaking a sweat. There's no matchmaking in Nightfall, so you should be able to chat with your teammates. Ask what they'd prefer you bring to the fight, and where they'd like you to hang out. You just might save the whole Strike by being quick on your feet and getting someone back up.

Aside from that good roll on Raspberry, pretty boring this week from Xur.
Although if you are fairly new to destiny - buying a piece an exotic piece of armor is pretty important just for the light so I would prioritize that even if its not one you particularly want power wise.

Oh, Xur, I spent over 100 motes of light and my entire stock of strange coins gambling to get a Ram or Nighthawk last week. Didn't get either. You think I'm just going to do the exact same thing this week like some kind of moron?

I'm looking forward to trying out my leveled MIDA as a primary on my Striker. Improved footspeed is a huge deal when the entire point is to catch enemies downscope or sleeping.
Apologies to you and Sega for having to bail on PoE fun times. This summer has been one bad storm after another. Living in a mid century home with questionable wiring makes me nervous when the lightning comes. Then my wife wanted to finish up Daredevil, so no Destiny for me last night.
All that said, I'm happy to help with PoEs today, have a raid set up for later (VoG NM and HM), and will likely start Ironic Bandaras.

I could use either Nightfalls or Iron Banna

Most primary weapons don't have elemental damage, and that goes for Exotic primaries as well
Elemental damage doesn't matter in PVP though
