Tried out the Mida maxed agility build on my Titan today.
I'm going to have to practice cornering. It's Venusian Drift up in here.
Welcome to the mida team! The key is to have no fear and yet run away all the time. But seriously mida allows for the easiest headshots and amazing hip fire and as long as you can keep landing shots and strafe it'll take lucky shots to beat you.
Your nemesis is close/mid tlw and long range pulse for some odd reason. Seriously pulse rifles beat me 1v1 more than any other gun...
I do need to try it with titan though. I can only imagine the speed might be even better than my blink blade dancer. But I don't wanna lose my dancing shoes...
With the Titan it's more about closing speed than strafing, at least for me. Between the Mida buff and booster jets, I'm everywhere no one wants me to be.
You know that wall on the border of Rusted Lands right next to Bravo point? Yeah, with MIDA and maxed agility, I would frequently sail over that wall and out of the goddamn map.
MIDA Striker Titan is just... hilariously fast.
Yeah, this is why I need to practice. It's a level of speed that is unusual in the rest of the game. Which is why I think it'll throw a lot of people off when it ends in a sonic boom.
Nothing in this game is remotely as terrifying as watching a goddamn Striker with a MIDA bolt into a 100-yard sprint in 2 seconds and fly into a Fist of Havoc, taking out your entire team.

Been doing bounties with Mida on my Hunter lately. So much fun, the sound, the speed, the feel. I really do enjoy Mida as a weapon. It's using it that I'm glad I am OCD about bounties and all that jazz, cause it gives me an outlet to use weapons that are fun vs. weapons that make the content easy.

Yep, bounties and patrols are when I get to break out No Land Beyond and Hard Light, and they're both stupid fun.

It's really weird seeing the community blow up about the MIDA all of a sudden when you had been rocking it regardless of meta for months now. Did the upcoming changes seriously only now make people look at the alternatives to Thorn/TLW/Red Death?
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Hey now, I'm sure if you search my post history, I mentioned liking the Mida ages ago! Likely as far back as November 2014! Though funnily enough, I do seem to see MANY MANY more Hard Lights when patrolling. Hell, a guy was even using it a weekly heroic I did last reset!

Heh, I'm not talking about folks here, more on reddit. But yeah, MIDA was always good, even in the SUROS days. Then when they gave it the initial buffs it was even more effective. I used to argue with my friend about it because he felt that the reliance on Third Eye was a crutch in pvp, and my response is, I'm a Titan, I need all the speed and engagement awareness I can get lol.
Since switching to defender pvp, I find it's not as strong for that playstyle since I seek out more medium ranges for my Perun's Fire and Red Death for the persistent heals/counter to Thorn. Also I want to engage closer so I have a chance to melee more often and get that overshield.

I'm one of those who only just started exploring MIDA recently when I learned about the stagger, and started playing my Hunter a bit.
But I am glad I did. Feels like a breath of fresh air.
Next up is Hard Light, which I have less faith in, but the sound of it is just so nice.
Seeing stuff like this makes me so hopeful for the upcoming weapon rebalancing - so many weapons & armor combos have the most amazing synergy to allow for some spectacular gameplay - both in fun and strategy - that would blow the 'meta' wide open if it became viable.

I think it is still considered kind of a mediocre pvp gun because its impact is so low, but it's got some great utility that can't be ignored. The agility and speed boosts are really really good.
But you're not going to win most one on one gun fights. Skirt the edges of the map, pick dudes off, run around like a maniac, and if you're a Striker, use it to get in close real fast for a shotgun/fist/knee.

At medium to long engagement ranges I found I would win most fights outside of Pulse Rifle users. But the beauty of the Mida is it's really easy to run away from a suboptimal engagement.

Passing on the MIDA waaaay back because I wanted to make sure I kept enough coins in case an Icebreaker or Gally came up the next week (they didn't) is still my biggest regret in Destiny.

IMO, Mida has always been better than Red Death, but it's Mida/Shotgun loadout left a little bit of a mid-range gap compared to Thorn/Shotgun or TLW/Sniper.

If you get the first shot off, or the drop, the MIDA is a 5 shot body kill guaranteed. And it fires damn fast. With the slight damage buff they are talking about for Scout Rifles in 2.0, a 4-bodyshot kill might become a reality.

Noob question, what time/day does Xur actually update? I'm camping a bit this weekend and with my luck I'll miss the window when he is handing out perfect gear and candy.

Xur arrives in-game Fridays at 09:00 UTC which is 11:00 CET, 10:00 BST, 05:00 ET, 04:00 CT, 03:00 Mordor Time and 02:00 Kaiju Risk Zone Time.
He generally disapparates at the same time on a Sunday.

My Mida dropped about two days before I stopped playing Destiny for months, and at the time I was leveling the Last Word that Xur had just sold me. So I hadn't gotten to run it much until last week. But now I'm loving it.

@Al_wat as Justice mentioned on the previous page, Hardlight is banana-sandwich if you are staging your engagements correctly for it. It is probably my favorite exotic for pvp, was the first one I managed to snag way back when (and I've dropped 3 total which is silliness), and the gun I've spent the most time on. Its range drops off pretty quickly, so you just have to remain cognizant of that when you are building approaches. The only map (in control) where I don't touch it is Shores and that is because the lines are soooo good for MIDA there. It's a tough choice ultimately, all I use in pvp are Hardlight and MIDA unless I feel like goofing around with a Handcannon.
From January. I Saw @Celian post and remembered preaching a while back also.
Max agility striker would be fun

So now that I have a Thorn leveled enough to do DoT.....
How the fuck did play testing used this gun and thought it was okay to go?
This hand cannon is nuts. Winning against 1v1 at long range against snipers? Seriously? Then again, Bungie does have a hardon for sniper pistols (Halo 1).

It's the error-code for when they force a team to orbit after a thrashing in crucible.
Whenever I seem to completely wreck an enemy team and we don't quit the lobby, we get an Apple error code and get sent back to orbit.
That is an error code I have never seen. huh...
I don't think it exists on Xbox. That might be a PSN only thing.
