I'd love a chance to win The Witcher 3, but it's kind of pointless for me to enter anything right now since I couldn't accept it, and I feel it would be in poor form when I'm currently buried under a pile of gifts, let alone having never finished 1 or 2. I think it's an awesome giveaway, though, so kudos.
Hmm. It would appear I've managed to save up just enough money to upgrade my pc's GPU, hard drives, PSU and maybe some case fans. But do I go for the GTX 970 4GB or wait until a 6GB or 8GB version is released? I'd hate to buy the card and then next year all the new games suddenly need 6GB vram.
I might just wait. I've already waited this long so what's another year?
I think that, more importantly, the question is: what's your monitor resolution and refresh rate?
You're fine with a 970 4GB. That's what I'm running with at 1080p/144Hz and I have zero issues. Yeah, there are some games that I don't want to run godlike textures on, but I don't think it's a huge deal. YMMV.
That's cool that the games will still look good, but I'm mainly worried about either getting the card now and regretting it when a newer version comes out or the current one becoming cheaper shortly after I buy it for some reason. It's dumb I know, because this concern has kept me from upgrading for years.
If you do wait, Heatwave, Nvidia is launching their Pascal lineup next year. It's a fairly significant change in architecture that sounds quite exciting. I think that's when I'm going to upgrade.

Anyway, I haven't played much this week so I think I'll play something later today. Perhaps something short, sweet and easy as heck, since I'm a little hesitant to get my butt handed to me again in Witcher 2 (damn you Nekkers!). Perhaps A Bird Story or maybe start Deponia?

I mean, I haven't even gotten my son home from the hossipal* yet, and he's throwing out baby-themed games.
Well, "baby-themed" in the "It has 'born' in the title"-sense and less in the "kinda like your new son"-sense. Although, now that I ponder a bit, the little guy is aces with Charm spells ... Though maybe they're more like spell-like abilities ...

Still more FTL, stealth B. Starts with no shields, a main gun that takes 25 seconds to charge, a cloak that lasts only 10, and barely enough power to run it all. For every one attempt that had a decent shot at surviving the first sector, there were ten that didn't. The luckiest was still an absolute shitshow of a run, the highlight of which was bombing my own shield room in a desperate bid to kill a pack of mantises - after the enemy ship bombed the guys I had fighting said mantises, killing all four and leaving me with two surviving crew.
I lost eight fucking people over the course of the run, including all starting crew, and even the mantis hero that I picked up from a quest. We limped into the third phase of the final boss with five hull points to spare.
I would've cheered but the noise probably would've caused a hull breach.
One day I'll work up the courage to try Hard. One day.
Thats someone who has been playing the earlier game from the devs for 6 years. I haven't faced anyone close to that, but its so fun trying to emulate it.

Being the cruel and heartless judge that I am, I'm going to dismiss those who are not Most Guilty in groups, a few at a time. Because everyone loves suspense, amirite?
(Please do not read anything into the order in which entries are dismissed - first announced does not mean you were worst and first tossed. I'm just picking out of the list.)
Remember, the task was to find or create an image including one assigned color and two assigned THINGS.

Who the fuck cares, you don't always buy games to support developers, you dont always buy games because they're something you'd enjoy. Sometimes you buy games that you don't like because you want to experience something different, sometimes you buy games because you want someone else to laugh at the name, or just to show them that you're thinking of them, or because you just want to send a bad game to someone.

entry. When I found the car the color made me think of Gumby, and I dunno. It went from there.
Unfortunately more of a aqua green. I considered adding in some raining money to better cover the green theme, but by then I'd gotten lazy and decided it was good enough.

My original idea was to show Cap'n Crunch sighting a final island/tooth to pillage but couldn't figure out a way to incorporate red.
So my nightmarish "realistic" Cap'n Crunch being eaten by someone eating Cap'n Crunch cereal was born.
@Khildith gifted @Big Classy a multiplayer game. Isy then goes to check his library, sees that he has it, and cancels the gift sending it back. Since when you receive a gift it shows up in your library, and he didnt know that, he didn't actually own the game. Khildith then sent the game to someone else, and Isy wasn't able to join us in the coop game. It was pretty amusing.
Like @corriganx would ever actually co op with somebody :hydra:
