Really not a fan of Yshtola's new attire. Doesn't fit her at all.
Her original outfit was much more simple and charming.
Nice to have my coolest buddy back though.
I'm actually really glad for the update. Here she was, supposed to be one of the most important conjurers in the game, and she was dressed like a level 15 scrub. I'm looking forward to seeing the updates the others get.

Updates are fine but this look just doesn't look like Yshtola to me.
I like Alphinaud's and Cid's is growing on me despite the collar but this one just feels like an odd redesign.
Feels like some of the Heavensward redesigns are trying to be abit too stylish.
But to be honest, she's one of my favorite characters so I was probably going to be pretty picky about any changes to begin with.
So, I'm trying to level Lancer so that I can get Blood For Blood for Machinist. Blood For Blood is at level 34, Dragoon starts at 30, and I have not the 15 levels of Marauder needed to become a Dragoon. This is an issue because I know that any Duties past level 30 will expect everyone to be a Job.
Is it more feasible to just get 15 levels of Marauder and become a Dragoon, or is there a good way to grind out those last 4 levels while still a Lancer?
FATES/hunting logs can probably do you fine but I'm not sure it'll be quicker than getting Marauder to 15 considering how fast the armoury bonus makes that.
You do get like, 250k when you complete a high roulette tho, so that's at least something.
It's still rather rubbish TBH. A Vault run will net ~450k for 20-30mins and knocking out the entire set of clan marks will give ~400k as well for around a half an hour of running around. Unless you're after the tomestones, it's better to be queuing directly for the highest level dungeon you can do since you'll get experience and a shot at loot which may be useful to use, or at the very least hand in for GC seals for ventures/cordial/2 star 40dur crafting mats
Spent five hours running A4 in the hopes of getting a Shaft drop, that way I'd get the last piece (chest) by this week. Ended up short on the draws and the random parties just went to hell after a certain point.
I'm kind of angrier at myself for wasting all that time, especially since I don't plan on playing FFXIV much this week.
High level is worth if you run w/friends or get a good ilvl130+ team, since you can finish most of the dungeons in about 15 minutes.
Eh, I still find that if you're levelling it's not a good option to be running the high roulette because it doesn't help with getting usable gear drops even if the XP/time ratios were within a reasonable margin. Unless you're in i130 and haven't reached the Aery for the i133 gear, getting better stuff means killing stuff quicker means more exp per hour. Also helps that the dungeon drops look great and you can get fancy with the shiny new abilities.
I've decided to resub and recreate Longthought Lumenaire for the 5th or 6th time since release. We'll see if I can get him all the way through the story again before I get distracted. At least I have something new to look forward to in working towards a new healing class. Until then, the road to WHM begins again!
So, how hard are the Extreme trials? And is it at all possible to get a group for them from the duty finder? I just unlocked the the Moogle and Leviathan ones.

They tend to be a good deal harder, for two reasons:
1: They throw new/revised mechanics at you.
2: They are much less forgiving.
For example, Levi EX:
* The big one - once he uses Tidal Wave, the rails come off, meaning that you can go overboard (which is an instant unrezzable kill).
* The above makes the body slams and Dreadwash go from "annoyance" to "lethal".
* There are a new set of spumes that have to be tanked.
* Levi's patterns become more complex.
* He inflicts new debuffs on the tank on his tail.
I'd say they're puggable - if you know the fight. If you don't, well...
Moggle Mog Ex is actually almost harder with the current gear and character levels because the trick in it is to not kill the adds until they're all super low.
I might be reading that wrong, but it actually sounds like you can vote as many times as you wish to 'like' an entry. But I'm reading that as you only count 'once' for entry into the Scarf of Wondrous Wit sweepstakes. So you could theoretically vote for all the hairstyles but they're essentially saying you still only get one shot at the scarf.
Lots of fun looks on both sides. I love all the little stuff these developers are willing to do with fans.

It's been about two months and I still haven't gotten Titan Ex cleared yet. So far it's still my only personal hell in this game.
Ran two shots at it through duty finder. Both attempts failed after going the full hour.
If you do them, try to get an unsynched guild party going.

There's not really any of the female hairstyles I'd give up my current style for, but I do think that female #24 is pretty cool and unlike anything else in-game. Shame it has so few votes.
Decided to go back to my male nyan. Au Ra was fun for a while, but I did the bulk of the ARR MSQ chain as a male Miqot'e, so that's what I recognize my character as. Plus, I think he looks better over the grind of playing.

Agreed, I love that one.
The only one I could really see myself using is the Quistis look (#9), and it's mostly because it wouldn't clip with my current gear.

Paladin Glamour done.
For now.

I'm up for the change of scenery but...don't the mobs have no exp on high level roulette?
Currently that is true but they've mentioned that will change with 3.1

There are actually a decent number of good entries for both sexes.
Edit: Hmm, these are the entries, I don't actually see how to vote yet.
I blame Final Fantasy Record Keeper for this.
