So, how hard are the Extreme trials? And is it at all possible to get a group for them from the duty finder? I just unlocked the the Moogle and Leviathan ones.
It's been about two months and I still haven't gotten Titan Ex cleared yet. So far it's still my only personal hell in this game.
Ran two shots at it through duty finder. Both attempts failed after going the full hour.
If you do them, try to get an unsynched guild party going.
Sounds like you're rockblocked.
Every time I think I'm going to seal the deal, he's there to snatch lady victory from me.
"Hey, baby. I rule over hundreds of kobolds in the center of the earth. Who is this loser?"
These hairstyles are for every race or just their shown race?
It's supposed to be for every race, which is why some, like the male feudal Japanese-looking haircut won't work because apparently nyans need hair to attach their ears to.
I'm just disappointed there's no side-swept long-fringe pixie cuts or undercuts for the ladies(at least for FemRoe).
All long hair will clip with gear. Even though the hair may look nice on it's own, the clipping will eventually bother the heck out of me and make me change my hair to something short, even if there are no short options I really like(choosing between varying flavours of turd sandwich).

Completed Heavensward.
Had my quibbles with it as far as the writing goes
Estinein being unnecessarily plucked out of the dragoon class questline and being made a bigger character and rendering your conflict with him an awkward elephant in the room thats never really acknowledged aswell as making your status as The Azure Dragoon all but invisible to every one around you since they can't stop talking about how awesome it is that you're hanging out with the Azure Dragoon (Estinein) aside from the rare one or two brief mentions of you being the other lesser one nobody remembers. It continues to be a sticking point for me looking back.
Would have been more interesting to see him become corrupted by the eye and turned evil of his own choice rather than just outright being taken over/possessed by Nidhogg which was kind of lame. Not sure why they felt the need to resurrect Nidhogg at the end, just substitute him with another dragon. Would rather see something new than retread the conflict with him. Not like the horde is wanting for giant wyrms that want to destroy humanity.
But thats the last time I'll go on a butthurt " waaah stupid Estinein thinks he's so cool" tangent about all that.
And the larger areas can be more difficult to navigate at times lacking the tighter map design that ARR had that I found refreshing compared to some MMOs that go big for the sake of going big. The new zones are abit of a chore until you unlock flying but then they actually become quite pleasant.
But overall, a massive amount of great content. Great music, jam packed new zones, awesome classes and new dungeons/trials. It doesn't reinvent the game but everything that makes this game great is here by the truckload.

So there is frequently discussion about where to put points in for this job or that, and tanks can often choose vit or str. Is there any benefit, say, if a dragoon splits points between str and dex?

...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
An ever so slightly increased dodge chance I think?
But really, no benefit.
Only tanks and arcanists ever have to choose where to put stat points. Everyone else is better served by just dumping it all into their main stat.

I was more thinking crits, actually.

Actually, I would like both symmetrical and asymmetrical versions of certain haircuts.
Like the Last Remnant homage one is weirdly lopsided that looks really stupid in windy weather since it is plastered to your face. A small edit to let you have it even, or mirror it, would be nice.
Whoo, level 60 WAR. Grab the stored gear to jump to ~i175, do the level 60 job quest, knock out the expert roulette as a bonus then spend the rest of the night working on the glamour...
Mayhap I should go full Dragoon with my Lala in addition to Scholar and Machinist, or pick up Dark Knight. I want to hack things apart with a deceptively adorable fun-size blade.
Been thinking about doing Dark Knight due to the amazing sword ya get. But I don't know if I can level another job at the moment. Warrior was exhausting.

I'm having such a hard time leveling my Warrior from 50 to 60. The dungeon exp feels really low. I might just be a little burned out because I spent two of my three days off getting my Dragoon to 34 and my Machinist and Ninja to 32 so I could delete a massive amount of Disciple of War gear that has been sitting in my inventories.
I tried doing a bunch of fates which went pretty well but I can't farm those for too long. I wish I had a bunch of quests to do.

High Level roulette doesn't give out EXP @ 50 yet right? That's in 3.1?
I gave my 50 WHM the longest stare last night wondering if I should level em to 60.
I just can't do it over again. T_T Even worse when I still have Summoner and Machinist to level.

Yup not in yet. Which is a shame because high level roulette is not worth running at all in its current incarnation, unless you want poetics I guess.
My wife and I have been leveling side jobs by;
- doing low level roulette daily
- completing the fate and leve parts of the challenge log weekly, and trying to remember to hit the dungeon and commendation challenges on a job that isn't 60 so as not to waste the exp.
- doing the weekly and daily level 3 Centurio hunts
It's certainly not quick, but it works well. I also occasionally throw in a run of the highest level HW dungeon I can do post 51 in the hopes of scoring some gear, because I'm lazy and crafting has become a chore post 50.
In addition to our main jobs, which we leveled doing story and quests, we each have a second job at 60 and a third at around 54-55. I also power leveled BRD to 60 aside from that just for Seal Rock, but that's pretty much it.
The exp you get from running it versus the time spent is really crappy though, to the point where you'd be better off just running a HW dungeon with no roulette, or some fates.

I've been levelling other jobs almost exclusively with HW dungeon runs and the clan mark hunts.
The hunts give at least 330k EXP at minimal level and up to around the 450k range from memory at 58+ when you can legitimately do the 3 star marks (Never mind the detail that my WAR was killing everything at level 55 without issues). For ~30mins of running around, that's about the same as a dungeon run and you get the clan seals for whatever and you can also get kills towards the chocobo challenge log. I'd think that's a win/win/win.
FATE trains should give you more consistent EXP and is less demanding than dungeon running, but yeah.... FATE trains. Needs prime time timing (not possible for me most of the time) and can be mind numbingly boring.
I sound like a broken record on this, but I honestly can't think of High Roulette as a viable source of EXP until they add EXP to level 50 dungeons. The daily clear bonus is minor compared to the time required and you get no other benefits from the activity unless you need poetics. If I need to budget my 2 odd hours a night, I'd hit an expert roulette for the Esoterics bonus, then depending on my gear priorities I'll direct queue for the highest dungeon or do the levelling roulette and then do clan hunts. So my goals would be ex roulette, one dungeon for levelling and then the hunts so three activities. If I'm not interested in the clan seals, then I'll do another dungeon run in its place which will be a direct queue regardless.
On the topic of bonus exp, the challenge log bonus exp and levelling dungeon bonus for that matter is more valuable on pre-50s on a per-level basis. You can get around half a level worth of experience with a challenge log + daily bonus. The extra exp you get from the roulette or the challenge log doesn't really scale into level 50+
Don't forget that high level roulette is the only leveling roulette you can queue for in a party, so it's worth it if your group can plow through it. Goes pretty quick with 3 dps.
Kinda bummed out that you can't farm light for the zodiac weapon in HW dungeons.
Almost got all the atmas. Thought I was done.

Yeah, its quite a deep rabbit hole.
I got started in part because in June (or maybe July), when my friend and I hit 50, I had a lot more time on my hands than he did, so I was kinda like well, I'll just farm up the Zodiac weapon on the side (I also like the look of Excalibur)... then I looked at the list and I was stunned for a second. THEN, I kept seeing caveats like, well drop rates have increased since its release, etc. So, I thought it may not be too bad...
Its now September (and admittedly, I don't play a lot like some do), but I'm just now on the light farming stage. :?

According to the tooltip for dex it does nothing to crits.

I may be wrong, but high roulette only gives XP once due to the daily bonus. So you'll get 0 XP if you run it a 2nd time that day.

There's an HW Relic?!
Is it a continuation of the Zodiac weapons, or do you start new?
