Bro and I played some 2s for the first time in forever. Made some really crap mistakes but managed to place gold 1 which between that and 2 is where I kept going up and down all last season when I lost interest, so haven't lost that much skill I guess.
I like the simplicity of the Farmville simulator 2017 map compared to the overly busy backgrounds of neo Tokyo, not BioShock, and not halo. Wasteland is a bit weird getting used to being standard size since it was at that other size for so long.

Uggghhhh. I'm glad we get a free currency to open crates, but locking away tradeability stinks.
Yeah it sucks but I kinda get why they had to do it. Events would most likely mess up the market too much and they probably want to start doing these pretty regularly now.
I also don't want to end up with a bunch of items in my inventory that I can't trade away (or trade up if I don't have exactly 5) so I hope they are also adding an option to just discard items.
Started playing Rocket League. Realized the update hadn't dropped so wasn't earning candy corn. Stopped playing Rocket League.
This is why I have to have crates hidden. I'd drop way too much on that shit in a second.

I've spent way more on crates and DLC for this game than I'm willing to admit.
However, I've also played this game an order of magnitude more hours than any other game in my Steam library. So generally I don't feel TOO bad about it.
So far been getting 4 candy corn per game. Decryptors are 50 candy corn a pop. You can buy a max of 3. 150 candy corn at 4 a game, 37.5 games to get $3 bucks worth of keys basically. Not accusing Psyonix of some of the predatory behaviours of other companies but this has a very the first taste is free and you *can* grind if you want but there's an easier way wink wink feel to it.
They did adjust it today to correlate the amount of corn to the length of the match. Get an immediate forfeit, get a little corn. Have an epicily long OT, get a bunch of corn. Two evenings of playing 2-3 hours each have netted me 100 corn.
Capping it at 3 decryptors is kinda a bummer. A cap makes sense, would just like it a bit more.
I still haven't decided on what to do with mine since the items become untradable. I'm probably just buying all 3 and saving them for now.
@TimFiji not sure if you are still interested in getting a goal explosion since you never got back to me but if you like Vampire Bats it's currently your cheapest option at 3-4 keys. Fireworks is around 6-7 keys now.

I bought two decryptors and used them immediately. Got a couple of garbage paint skins in return.
The non-crate stuff is different. It's the equivalent of the drops we used to get during these events by playing. I will say that's the positive of the corn, convinces people to play until the end of the match and encourages me at least to play more since I'd get all the drops in like a day and just be done.

Took a break for several days, and as often seems to happen in games like this, when I came back I was playing a lot better. Climbed up to Plat 2, still climbing.
Unfortunately, server lag made me stop playing tonight.

How, how, HOW do people get into freaking Platinum and are still playing 8 year old ball chasing everything, crossing it in front of their own goal and following teammates into corners?
they bumped everyone up roughly a rank with the reset recently, so your current low diamonds are formerly plats and your current plats are formerly golds

So I recently moved, I'll be getting internet at my new house in a couple days but I'm worried the internet here is so bad I won't be able to play online. We'll see I suppose. If I am, I'd love to go back to playing with you folks.
Edit: Also, I've been watching a lot of the World Championships stream, and the level of play has been nuts.
