What's the word on non-Hot Toys superhero figures these days? I don't live in a market that gets them, and I've been a few years out of the loop, curious what's big or coming up.

Non-Hot Toys? You mean stuff like Marvel Legends, S.H.Figuarts, Mafex? Are you mainly into 1/6 or 1/12?

Just off hand, Hasbro's Marvel Legends 1/12 just had an X-Men wave that was basically pure gold imo

It's not cheaper at Toy Dojo, you can still get the first Seraphicus for $200 shipped there.

I knew as soon as I stopped preordering things it was going to bite me. I wanted to order Kultur (Tarn) and the SND Prime kit in tandem to get free shipping at TF Source because I have some credit there, but I didn't preorder right away, and then before I knew it Kultur sold out everywhere. Then the SND kit sold out in most places. I'm sure Kultur will get another run because MMC does that, but it's still annoying.

I really want the SND kit. But I have an Orion. And a voyager KO MP-10 waiting at Sirtoys. And a halfhearted urge to get out of the CHUG scale.

i was hoping for a brainstorm and was kinda salty about it so i wanted to go home with something.

that's the main reason i got it, i ahvent seen any wave 2 elsewhere. there was a highbrow but supposedly he is bad and outside of chromedome i have no attachment to these characters. but weirdwolf is a funny name and allegedly a great figure (so far this is true)

Much better proportions than the S.h.Figuarts body figures. The female is just a superior figure compared to body-chan, in that you can actually pose her properly. They do have a problem with gaps showing when you pose them however. I think this might be because the upper torso is not secured to the frame and can sometimes look like a loose piece of clothing. Also they come with only two extra pairs of hands and not other accessories, other than the standard figma stand, bag, and spare 2.0 wrist joint. Still wish I had gotten the female in skin colour, simply for the spare 2.0 wrist joint, but since I already have this one I'm not going to double dip and buy another just for one tiny little joint.

I also got TAV-55 Windblade!



Man this figure so so much better than the generations figure. Those feet making posing her so much easier and the face looks much nicer, despite not having a nose. My only real complaint is she doesn't have wrist swivel like the generations figure, which limits how you can pose her while holding her sword and scabbard. It'd be nice if a third party could release replacement forearms with wrist swivel, but I doubt it. Also she does have a bit of a backpack, but I'm honestly not fussed about it. Another positive of this figure is she has a much better colour scheme than the RID version, as she has more black to her help balance out all the red.

Yeah I have only heard of Walgreens having Wave 2 so far. I have been holding off from going to one so I won't do the same as you did. Plus I want to get the Brainstorm at the same time.

I noticed a couple heels on shape ways which look alright . Wish I had waited and got the Takara legends version of wind blade but at least I have this new figure . Looking it it some more the arms can slide off from the mushroom pegs on the biceps so there's definitely an easy way to replace them . Only have to wait and see if a third party company wants to invest time and money to improve this figure. Unlike the generations mold the base figure doesn't really NEED replacement parts

I didn't get to out him through his paces completely but I really like wolfwire so far. The wolf mode seems great and is pretty sturdy. I have a concern about the tail but I'll try that out later. I don't really like the color scheme in robot mode but as a wolf it works really well. Only other complaint so far is the face on the head is painted way different from the packaging and looks weird as a result. The head is gray/gunmetal in the package but it is basically 100% red on the toy. Without getting super close you can't make out any of the details. I may try to do something about it, but he may also just always be in wolf mode. Not sure yet.

I may be moving soonish. Previously, I shoved all my boxes in the basement in case I wanted to sell something somewhere down the line. I am now in the middle of a struggle to convince myself that I don't want to deal with the hassle of moving that many empty boxes, and my time would be better spent just breaking them down and recycling them.

Despite hating how the Macross Delta series ended up, I went ahead and pre-ordered the DX Chogokin SV-262Hs Draken III Keith Aero Windermere .

I don't like the Battroid mode, and Gerwalk is only ok. Really just ordered because the Fighter mode and transformation look cool.

I feel good about pre-ordering it though, as I should be able to just cancel it at HLJ before March next year. Although considering the high price they might suspend my account for messing with their stock allocation. Like, I'm sure they wouldn't, and I've always been careful to not regularly cancel orders (last one was maybe early last year?), but it'd just something for me to consider once it gets closer to the release date.

So right now my current pre-orders are:

Oh my god for a second I thought you were about to break apart you're collection for recycling and I cringed so hard.

Yeah, I used to keep all my empty boxes as well, but they're just a waste of space. Plus, it's unlikely I'll ever sell many of my figures anyway, and if I do I doubt people will care about having the box of a used figure, as it won't have that mid-in-sealed-box appeal anymore.

Also curious where I could find stuff for non-tf lines. I looked at NECA's site briefly this morning, but I couldn't immediately find where (or if) they are posting their new stuff.

EDIT: Wow this is still up for pre-order for 2 hours now. Usually these figures sell out within the first 10 minutes. Hope this isn't going to be a similar situation to when the DX Chogokin VF-31J pre-orders went live and certain sites had errors not showing went it's pre-sold out.
