Soooo Force Friday II has gotten me to the mall and I snagged a bunch of the new TLJ figures. @_@ I swore to myself that I wouldn't go nuts buying them all, but there they were. Sitting on the shelf at the Disney Store and I knew that the Kylo was sold out so snagged them all (one of each). So now I have them all except for Luke which the lady said sold out. Also went to the Lego store and got the First Order Star Destroyer, First Order Heavy Assault Walker, and Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter. Also got to see the new Lego Millennium Falcon (which is so awesome it isn't even funny).

Nice! Here's my haul. I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep.
Got everything I wanted except Praetorian Guard TBS6. The TRU I lined up at only got 1 case of wave 2. Most of the stuff in the pic is from the Target I hit up this morning.
FYI guys avoid this company at all costs. It's being suggested on other sites that it's running a Ponzi scheme, where it uses the money from new orders to buy stock for old orders.
I've been spending a lot of money on stuff lately though so I probably won't get that third party figure I was interested in. At least for now.
Pay weekend, so I was able to go back to Target and get Blitzwing and Octone/Octane. The last TR figure I want is Trypticon and at his price point it's a bit unlikely.

I would say save up and you might be able to snag him for sub $100 easy near the end when sites and some stores will discount them.

There was a discount store in the area who got stacks of Fort Max's in, and sold him for around $80.00. I'm kinda hoping that'll be the case here too >.>
I was right, the jet form looks way better than tank. It has 3 issues: connections that want to pop out, decals that are way over done in jet mode, and isn't stable in jet mode (no way to stabilize it as it sits on the turret). It's not terrible, but I think the Generations one was better (and that's with the nosecone issue). On the plus side, I really like how they handled putting the headmaster in for jet mode (and the method for the tank mode isn't that bad either), and the gun isn't really that obtrusive in tank mode.
Octone:
Benefits greatly from using the Optimus Prime mold, so you know they took care with it. The truck form is the best IMO, but the aircraft isn't that bad either. Mine had a panel that wasn't pushed all the way in on one shoulder (the part that folds down and becomes the cab), but I was able to push it in and it fit much better. My only real complaint is that the wing design is really odd (you have to spin it several ways to get it as it appears on the box), and they really didn't know what to do with the arm/truck cab assembly for aircraft mode.
If I had to rank the triple changer molds for TR, I'd say Octone>Astrotrain>Blitzwing>Broadside.

Really glad I didn't bite the bullet and use my charge back money on a third party transformers figure, as I now have to get the car repaired and every cent counts.

SHF Homecoming Spider-Man, if Spider-Man were an old timey boxer:
edit: Also picked up a MAFEX Deathtrooper and man.. It's VERY nice.
The green visor is transluscent plastic, not painted on and everything is easily removable and well detailed. Comes with parts for both the specialist and the regular trooper. The standard size blaster has a soft fabric sling which looks great.. only downside is the standard helmet it came with had a big scuff on it. Articulation is on point, maybe even better than the shf. This might be the best Deathtrooper on the market price-wise.
All right, time for a few new Transformers pics. See spoilers for details (includes Toyworld Coneheads and Titans Returns figures)
The Toyworld Coneheads are all super nice. The transformations are easy and not too frustrating barring some slight instruction confusion, they feel really strong and sturdy due to die cast in certain areas (feet, arms...I think some around the middle maybe), and they pose very well. The negatives would be slightly long torsos, lack of accessories past missile launchers, and they're actually a couple inches taller than MP seekers so they don't quite fit in with them. Each of them also came with those nice interlocking bases and flight stands, so that's a definite plus.
Here's a comparison with the YES model Thrust. I definitely like the design of Toyworld better. It's more detailed and colors pop more. But scale is still an issue. The YES model also came with way more missile options which was nice.
God Ginrai looks really nice combined. Kind of a dumb sword but that can be remedied. Definitely has the solid and beefy look down. However not everything wants to tab together that well and he's not particularly stable, but other than that he's pretty great.
Octane and Blitzwing are both very good. The TR triple changers ended up being really nice for the most part. Don't really have much else to say.
I love the coneheads. Thanks for posting pics of them since I had some regrets for missing them. They look really nice and solid. Your Titdalwave makes me want to take him out instead of selling him.
When you transform Blitzwing properly the only backpack he has is the turret, which you can spin around however you like. It's flipped down in the packaging to give it space I suppose.

That's what I figured. I really want to pick up octane and blitzwing but budgets

Paid for my DX Chogokin VF-31C (Mirage) and shipped it with my SHF Homecoming Spider-man. This will be probably be my last DX Chogokin Macross figure. I didn't really like Keith's Draken, but liked the VF-31J enough to keep this order. Plus I like it's colours and head.
In other news, Power of The Primes Optimus Prime looks really good. Hopefully there'll be a third party company that sells fill-in parts for his hollow thighs, like with Combiner Wars/Takara Legends Leader Jetfire.

The Dinobots combine as well, but it looks weird
Also I hate how most of the Dinobots have really hollow limbs. There was a video of Grimlock somewhere that showed the back of the lower legs being completely hollow.
Also I really fucking hate that Hasbro and Takara are doing stickers now instead of paint.
Yeah, I saw that they combined and thought what were they thinking. They look really close to their G1 counterparts though so I'm a bit torn. On the other hand, I'm waiting for them to announce the Terrorcons since they teased them as well. Or Predaking since they were teased as well.
Based on combiner wars I doubt I'll combine them more than once. The takara bruticus I have just never seems to pose properly (or even stand at all) and I'll probably just take it apart so he doesn't shelf dive. The hollowness is annoying but I can live with it
I do like the head sculpt on that dinobots combiner though. However I don't know if the separated shoulder or the t rex hand antennae bother me.more

Like I'm happy enough with the Titans Return version, but this new Malibu Stacy Windblade comes with a new hat sword. The Targetmaster looks alright too.
My only gripe is the total price I'll be paying for this.
About $69AUD including shipping ($38AUD alone).
I paid $25AUD for the Titans Return version for comparison.
Hopefully something interesting ends up being released in either January, February or March so I can combine the shipping.
Well at least you'll have the Takara version to go along with the Hasbro one. Yeah, I keep on looking longingly at the Japanese releases of the Targemasters and wished Hasbro did them here. But the price just keeps me away from them.
I so can't wait for The Last Jedi. Especially all the new figures and the new droids!
I saw the complete Marvel Legends Thor wave at Wal Mart but I only got an Ares because I've wanted an Ares for many years. Just couldn't spend that much even though the figures and Hulk all look really good.

Do you have Generations, RID, and...was it Iron Factory that did the wee tiny Windblade?
I have the Generations, Takara TAV55 version of RID, and Titans Returns. Don't have the tiny Iron Factory figure.
EDIT: Regarding my issue with possibly combing my February order, I could order Figma Ruler, but the chest design still bothers me.
Also, Hasbro really needs to stop using stickers. They're the worst.
I'll still probably buy it though. But I might wait until the Takara release in case they use paint instead.
EDIT 2: New toys! DX Chogokin VF-31C (Mirage) and S.H.Figuarts Homecoming Spider-man
DX Chogokin VF-31C (Mirage)
This figure is pretty much the same as the VF-31J, only with a different colour scheme and head. I like the look of it in all modes better than the VF-31J, but it's severely letdown for me due to my figure not being able to properly hold together in battroid mode. The gray tabs that are supposed to tab into the metal bars of the torso keep coming undone for me. Don't remember having this issue with the VF-31J. Turns out I had mistransformed a area in the neck and that's what caused the issue. All better now and the figure actually looks like it has a neck too.
S.H.Figuarts Homecoming Spider-man
There's not much to say about this figure. It's just a spider-man figure. It has nice articulation, sculpting and accessories, but I find myself just thinking its only ok. Maybe if it came it a stand I'f get more fun out of it, but it doesn't and I don't want to spare any of the ones I'm already using. Also, is has no bicep swivel to that kinda of limits the articular a tiny bit, but it can still pull of a range of poses due to the shoulder having a slight swivel.
EDIT: I really like this Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus figure so far
Tell me more about this figure.
Much like the other Power of the Primes Leader class figures, its formed from two toys, in this case a larger gorilla resembling Beast Wars Optimal Optimus' gorilla mode, and a smaller figure resembling Optimus Primal's Season 1 design. The smaller figure has been confirmed to turn into a space ship/hover board so that the larger gorilla can ride it like Season 2 Optimus Primal. It's unknown yet if the smaller figure can also turn into a gorilla. The combined figure can also turn into Season 3 Opimal Optimus' jet mode.
So, I'm interested in getting a Bandai SH Figuarts Body-Kun (and/or Chan) DX but my googling keeps leading me to "smells like fake Chinese knock off" selling sites.
Can anyone point me to a source where I know I'll be getting a genuine version (for delivery to UK)?
